That's the 11 riders who would compete for the 9 spots. Qian Baoyu and Wassissi Machoro won't be there for sure, Qian will be too expensive (hopefully, if not he has stopped training..) for what he can, Wassissi doesn't need to be forced to ride in his oppressors home tour.

A new young one? Hm, maybe, but i can also take Stefan with the team. So that nobody will help me at the flat stages.

The preselected team till now is:

1. Iatiknu - 96 sprint
2. Caltapang - 88 flat
3. Vasconcelos - 61 hill, 87 flat
4. Haoul - 87 flat
5. Blanke - 87 flat
6. Attapattu 87 flat
7. Tikilitani 86 flat

2 open places for following possibilities:
a) maybe the young sprinter
b) Kaltapang - 84 flat at the moment
c) Triantafyllou - only 83 flat, but high reg
d) Basinas - 60 hill, 83 flat
e) another rider, who will be bought if seen on the transfer market and judged good

The team basically is set, which doesn't mean that it won't change though. Uzielli in for Nedelcu, Olimpiu Duculescu for Fouché is possible, but probably won't happen. Anyway, until friday we will have some short interviews with the 11 pre-selected riders.

1 Yuri Gamov

-Yuri, après le rose le jaune?
-Ca serait bien, oui.. mais difficile bien sûr. J'ai pas gagné d'étape sur le Giro, le premier objectif sera de gagner une étape. Puis pour le général on verra.
-Vous semblez moins motivé que pour le Giro...
-Oui, pour nous le Giro était l'objectif de l'année. Mais ça ne veut pas dire que je n'essayerai pas de faire le doublé. Mais le Giro me convenait plus, moins de CLM, ici on aura 60 km CLM plat. Dur pour un coureur avec mes caractéristiques.
-Mais l'équipe semble moins forte que pour le Giro aussi
-C'est une course différente, faut une équipe différente. Anthony par exemple pour le Giro n'avait aucun sens. Pour le Tour par contre il va être utile, le parcours lui convient bien. Je pense qu'on aura une bonne équipe.
-Qui seront les adversaires?
-Difficile a dire, on ne sait pas encore qui va être au départ. Mandelbrot sûrement, il va être dur a battre. Mais pourrait être un allié important aussi. Le reste.. on va voire qui va être au départ d'abord.

2 Septimiu Berlogea

-Septimiu, 2ème GT de l'année pour vous, vous pensez que l'experience du Giro vas vous aider?
-Mon rôle au Giro était différent, au Giro j'étais le nr 4, au Tour j'aurais plus de responsabilité, a moi d'être le dernier avec Yuri et Ivan. Au Giro bien sûr c'était le travail de Thomas.
-Votre but pour le Tour?
-Une étape serait bien... le petit singe nous a dit que on aura plus de liberté qu'au Giro, bien sûr Yuri, Ivan est Karl seront protegés, mais nous on pourra jouer nos propre chances plus souvent.
-Vous savez déjà dans quelle étapes vous allez essayer?
-Bon, les étapes vallonées bien sûr. Celle en Belgique d'abord, mais puis aussi Gap ou Mende.

3 Ivan Buonarroti

-Ivan. Equipier ou co-leader sur le Tour?
-Co Leader cette fois. Sur le Giro c'était claire depuis le début que j'étais la pour aider Yuri a gagner, cette fois je pourrais rouler pour moi-même si je vois une opportunité.
-Mais probablement vous allez encore être équipier finalement, non?
-Oui, peut-être.. mais je n'ai aucun problème avec ça, Yuri est un coureur très fort, c'est un plaisir de travailler pour lui. S'il aura des chances de gagner le Tour bien sûr que je vais me mettre a son service.
-En Juin vous avez finalement gagné une course, une course a étape en plus. Ça vous donne plus de confiance?
-Oui, ça fait plaisir de gagner. Je savais que j'étais capable de gagner des courses, finalement a 29 ans j'ai réussi. En plus même un petit Tour comme le Tour de Slovénie. Ça fait du bien. Mais ça ne change pas grand chose pour le Tour, les buts restent les mêmes, des étapes et le général si possible.

- Ouyang, pas de Uzielli, pas de Machoro, votre role dans l'équipe va changer?
- Oui, un peu, mais pas trop finalement.. aider les leader, si possible attaquer moi même, mais normalement un devrait pas devoir faire trop de tempo pour controller, pas a nous. Donc je ne m'attends pas a trop a faire.
- On va vous retrouvez dans des échappées?
- Si l'occasion se presente oui. Mais d'abord je vais essayer de faire un bon prologue, puis un bon CLM a la fin.

- Votre deuxième Tour, l'expérience de 09 va vous aider?
- Pas trop d'expérience, je suis fini hors délai dans les Pyrénées l'année passé.
- Vous comptez arriver a Paris cette fois?
- Pas sûr vraiment, pas un Tour facile pour un coureur comme moi, mais je ne suis pas là non plus pour terminer le Tour... Ce qu'on s'attend de moi c'est du travail dans la première semaine.

9 Xenocrate Nedelcu

-Deuxième Tour pour vous aussi. Vos but?
-Aucun but personel, pour l'équipe, aider Yuri et Ivan le plus longtemps possible.
-Vous pensez que Yuri peut gagner le Tour?
- Difficile, mais pas impossible, faudra voire les adversaires d'abord.



The 2 replacement riders that are in Rotterdam too:

Olimpiu Duculescu: Could come in for Fouché, but probably won't. Only 46 mountain, Fouché with 51 better chance to help Grillboy/Karl to survive the stages. And Théophile is french.

Stefano Uzielli: Could come in for Xenocrate or for Feng.. basically a money problem, 526k is enough, no need to make it more. He would be an option for attacks and a better support rider than Nedelcu and Feng, but... Attacks, pff, it's the Tour, 70000 sprinter teams, not many successful attacks anyway. 2. Support riders.. who needs that, it's the Tour, a stage win somewhere is enough, it's not like the Giro where the goal has to be winning at all cost, here it's more wait and see.
