Vlaanderen 2016
Omloop Het Volk just ahead, even in February. So probably too late already to start talking about the most important and most interesting sequence of races of cycling season (though that description is more adequate to real cycling than to RSF sadly). We are heading towards the Vlaanderen Classics, so let's talk and point out the riders, teams and their lineups which will impact those races. It's about time.

Re: Vlaanderen 2016
Speaking of impact, I might have some, but I'm not sure that is to my favour. And towards Het Volk, I face a difficult question regaridng the lineup.
Well, it's not a secret that my team is built through Kasseien, Kasseien, and Kasseien. Thus, in order to hope to use that strength, the lineup should probably focus full tilt on that strength, which would mean:
Svavar Austmann
François Beauchemin
Claudio Casanova
Rob Niedermayer
Ivan Novak
Guðmunður Óli Pálmason
Jozef Parch
Sæþór Sæþórsson
Nikita Zadorov
And there the doubts start: Ivan Novak, just 46 mountain, for Het Volk? Wouldn't be Mikko Rantanen be the better choice, to support Casanova in the hills? Sure, but his below 74 Kasseien value is set to limit every agressive sieving strategy. Which leads to the question if that would be promising at all.
Well, trouth be told, that's what Het Volk is all about, especially in real life cycling. Uncertanity. The first Vlaanderen Classic, and a great profile for all kinds of tactics. Regarding profile, maybe (as Ronde van Vlaanderen is fucked up by riding circles the last few years) the best race of the whole season, and for whatching on TV, always great. Is there someone else who hopes for some snow or storm this year?

Re: Vlaanderen 2016
It's actually the most boring series in real cycling.
The playground for ultraspecialized guys that are not good enough to compete in other races.

Kraftsystemrevision! Include the distance!
Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!
Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Re: Vlaanderen 2016
Let's present my Flanders Classics group too. My main goal is to win RVV this years, but I won't refure to win others too !
Leaders :
Nene Odagiri 54-89-57-50-57-86.9, 29yo. The leader, she dreams to win both RVV and PR.
Chitoge Kirisaki 61-82-65-50-62-81.7, 30yo. Sad that her trainings was bad, but with her skills, she has her chance.
Kurisu Makise 57-87-76-53-67-77.7, 31yo. Her sprintskill can be a good weapon for the softest races.
Hiyori Iki 50-63-73-54-86-68.7, 22yo. She can win KBK, Gent-Wevelgem, and probably West Vlaanderen and De Panne too.
Helpers :
Erika Shinohara 50-83-78-48-47-82.7, 25yo. She can't hope for a better role with her actual training.
Antonio Vivaldi 60-85-78-49-51-80.8, 27yo. A good helper.
Youko Shiragami 50-86-54-55-45-76.7, 26yo. A nice support for Hiyori.
Augusto Pinochet 58-85-78-48-52-76.3, 29yo. Good skills.
Megumi Tadoroko 50-83-55-50-48-74.6, 29yo. She will work t the start of races.
Thierry Bordet 50-85-56-48-48-73-73.3, 31yo. The same than Megumi
Juan Santos 68-78-72-52-57-72.1, 27yo. He will be helpful in hills.
Isuzu Soma 46-78-56-50-46-68.1, 30yo. The first to work, the first to be sieb, the first to back home.

Re: Vlaanderen 2016
Well, starting 3 races, what to expect? Nothing, even if starting all of them. That's why, considering manager and team ability, you'd even have to rate this spring classic season as a success. At least one win. And something more valuable. A confermation of what should have been known when the project was started. This manager doesn't have it in him. But two more races have to be ridden.

Hehe, anyway, this is completely off-topic, as PR is not a Flandern raceCerro Torre RT wrote:Took my cookie. Not bought at Carrefour, though.
