the new racing screen (Track cycling)

So here are the thinks that don't work properly:

1. To hang any rider in the race table is not possible. If you click it like described, nothing happens

2. The tactic table is not actualized in any way by actions in the race screen. The follow is: If you do an attack, rider goes to Tempo like actually in the tactic table. If you want to change it, you first have to set tempo, and can change the intensity then.

3. No possibility to change tempo intensity in race screen

4. No option to turn off sprint

5. Winner was not obviously shown to us, or too short. bergwerk and me, we didn't even get who won. Second race showed me: the result is not shown at all.

6. Online-Screen doesn't work at all

7. Different colors in the chat confuse me

8. Riders that were disqualified from the race stay in the tactic table

this new kind of racing sreen (taktikeingabemenu mein ich eher) is only for track cycling? i am affraid that this one will be the racing controll in our normal races. i hope that we can chose between the old and new one. i did not like it

it is not working correctly at the moment,
but as Buhmann tells it to be free of things like sprint bugs and actualization errors, I can get used to it if it runs correctly one day and isn't slower like the old way.

Functionality


Having 2 command rows with the same symbol somehow doens't seem all that clever. Yes, yes, we will/would get used to that fairly soon, but one of Buhmann's favorite sayings is: It has to be intuitive. Right now it isn't.

On the left you do:

-Attack by doubleclicking: I think that would be better with a separate row like now. With the "!" thing. When an attack is planned you see it because the symbol there is a bit reddish now, that's ok, but more logic to do the whole thing in a separate row.
-Attack by clicking, followed by a click on the km in the profile. Good.But after it's done you really don't have anymore information until the km comes. Maybe show your planned actions in the profile.
-click and then on another rider to follow. Ok.
-click and then on an own rider to help. ok.

But the whole thing doesn't really seem to be logic. Attack, help, follow grouped together in one place. Why? The option to plan ahead directly from the racescreen is very good.

Second command row:

Double click: Tempo.
Click then click on the km where to start tempo. Question, does this work for stopping tempo too?

What's the sense of this command row? Why not just use the Tempo row like now? Intuitive is the key-word! Again, the planning directly from the racescreen is good. If you don't want to do it by dragging things, like click it then drag it over (which isn't really convincing, I agree, ok, double click for direct change, simple click then click in the profile ok. But to make a separate row from that when it easily could be done from the tempo row? What for? Just to confuse everybody?

Then:

Click on the rider name: Opens the rider popup. Ehh...... Roby before and the petit singe now always demanded that each time you click on the name it opens that... mmh, didn't think of it during the race. But actually ok, just needs time to get used to it.
Energy: good, see it directly there is nice.


Missing:
- give all
- sprinting: Both now with that pop up. Which is kind of ugly, agree, need to find a new way. Add it in one of the 2 command rows somehow? Problem is I really see no logic in the command rows right now. Make a new row, basically one row for each thing. Helping, fighting, sprinting, following? Gets clustered maybe. Or make a better looking pop up? Don't really know.
- intensity. This really has to be in there. Intensity why not like now? It' not that nice to see agree on that, but make it slick round things that look modern and what not instead of those strange squares and everybody will love the clever design..
- Infos... like before, when you went over your rider with the cursor you could see who he helps, follows and how much energy he has on the top left. Something like that, maybe even expanded has to be in. Expanded by adding if he gives all and if and how he sprints.
- Info from team. Like for the rider, if you click on the team the teampage should open, if you do that in the race for riders, do it for teams as well.

Other things:
-Racelog on the top left. That's not where we need, it, we don't need it out of the way, we need it where we can see it without having to look for it.
- The "Schrift" when you write in the chat. It just looks very small when writing, make that the old size.

Ah, another thing.

I suppose you plan to make everything in this design, teampages, all the statistics etc etc.

Right now all this things can be copied, petit singe for example copies his team after every training to an excel sheet, so he has a nice record of his wonderful team. The race screen as it is planned is somehow not "kopierbar". Possible to make the teams and statistic "kopierbar" ( copyable?)

If i have two better sprinters, the race is over before it begins ... so only start until they are 3 Teams at the start.
Then everyone have a little chance to win.

Where can i see, which team is winning? Or show the sprint from the normal race^^.

I tried to solve some of the problems you discribed.

- Now everything is changable at the main race screen. Click on the left tool column and a new panel is opened.
- Now it is possible to change tempo with one click on the "Tempo"-column.

And some small things which i needn´t describe now.

2 tactic panels? Why? And waht have the in your opinion in the current layout? As i understood you and Cerro, one proble, you saw was that in the racescreen is no choice to set the sprint and so on. Now it is like the old layout.

As soon as a track race starts my menu buttons to the left ("News"-"Forum"-...-"Race/Tactics"-...) disappear completely. And they don't come back after the race. I have to use bookmarks or the borwser's location bar to get back to the normal stuff.

It happens in both, Firefox and SeaMonkey.

Yes. That is not a bug...I will create a new menu (at the top) for the new design, so that we have (like at the new racescreen) a wider screen as we have now. But the new menu is not created until now, so that it missing at the moment.
