Luques Team welcomes Gleb Slepokurov and tells good bye to Kamizuru

Time for some fresh youngs. Kamizuru 36yo, will leave the team and move to a continental team to close his career. We thank him for his support and for the fantastic win at Andes stage 11.

At the same time we hired the young Gleb Slepokurov who will enter the team next month. Gleb, from Lipetsk, Russia, is a solid flat helper 51-73-69 and we are sure he will be an important rider in the upcoming months. Gleb has already shown his great potential in the youngsters, both helping but also with some attacks at the end of the stage.

The sprinter takes yellow, green and white after the victory at the MS in the first stage

Luques works all the day hoping for a MS and helped by CC and Rockstar and HapeZ. A small group takes 6min of advantage but slowly it gets back and at -10km it doesn't have many chances. Then MS! Everybody is at the wheel of Luques train, so that we wait a bit before Durmonov starts. When Knyazev goes at 100m nobody can stop him. First victory for the young 21yo guy, and yellow, white and green! Tomorrow another day, not much to do for us but good to recharge batteries before the grand finale

2ND STAGE: A RELAXING DAY

Not much to do, CC takes the victory and the yellow, we stay focused on tomorrow stage

Just waiting and relaxing for stage 3. This is the main thing for Luques Team during this second stage at Ardennes. Bad that Alexandre and Good took bonisecs, but we are out of the GC fight anyway.

3RD STAGE A: ANDREY TAKES THE PODIUM IN THE GC AFTER A MOVIMENTED STAGE

The favorites gets the yellow but Andrey is behind him!

The key stage. Key for the GC obviously. CC has the best team and tries to make the race, tricks and siebs, tricks and siebs. But when DeNeige tries the attack seems too weak or too out of form, so Rockstar easily controls till the last climb. On the Roc La Tour Good attacks, Andrey behind doesn't answer immediately but tries the km after to leave the peloton and takes Bicer and Wikberg with him. At the end nice second place for Bicer that is out of GC and Andrey place himself in 2nd pos just in front of Wikberg.

3RD STAGE B: AYDYN-2 AND GREEN!

Luques controls all the stage and at the end Aydyn takes the victory and the green jersey

One of the objectives taken! Green for Knyazev at the first appearance as sprinter leader. The race is short so we start immediately to work. Helped by rockstar there is no real threat to the final sprint. So here we are. Playboys makes an own train which can put us in difficult but our guys are too strong. Hanski tries from 150m but Knyazev comes back and wins, stage and jersey! WELL DONE GUYS AT ARDENNES!

Not the best field for our team, we manage to reduce the loss

Andrey takes an unexpected win at Trentino exploiting others error and making a fantastic attack at -4 from the end on the steep km

Fantastic stage. Demuth works all day, he has the best team and tries to put in difficult all the others. For some kms this tactic works and when we reach the final climb we have 2 riders behind, and some others that struggled and worked to get in front. Then it starts the long climb. At the first steep km Demuth attacks with Chapeau, it's not really a decisive attack but Black Star follows and force Cabana to follow too. Alk and Andrey stay behind going up with their rythm. Soon they get caught and Adalsteinsson attacks getting a small margin of 10'' / 15'', but Alk's team is too strong today. He get him back, but in the same moment Andrey counter attacks, it's the most steep kms of the day a 13% that simply destroys your leg. Goya enters in first person to try to close the gap, at km161 he attacks and let behind his GC contender, but can't catch Andrey that makes it for only 1''. SIMPLY FANTASTIC!

3RD STAGE: MUCH WORK GETS NOTHING BACK

Nothing to say, Andrey unhappy ends 4th.

After the bit disaster (GC saying) at the Giro del Trentino. We take some relax before GIRO going to training camps. At Romandie many helpers of Andrey will be present, but Andrey will be sent to the Alps for training.

Ilya takes the third place at the prologue, and waits his chances for the last stage

Nothing special, Ilya without being in super form, manages a good third position. For him Romandie will be the last tour in the month of May.

2ND STAGE: NOTHING TO DO

Luques team is too weak, although Ivan remains in the group of the favos

We try to escape with Pasternak but get no chance. Then a new escape with Burton goes until the last hill. There the climbers Taiga and Groselji make the empty behind them, only Safrane and Mick with them. At the end they gain 20'' over the peloton, Ivan inside that ends in 13th position, knowing that he has to concentrate to GIRO.

3RD STAGE: AGAIN NO RESULT

The escape goes nowhere and Ivan's attack is caught

Again no big results. The escape goes nowhere. Ivan tries an attack but it's not succesful. Just hope for GIRO.

4TH STAGE: A DISASTER ANNOUNCED

Going nowhere and losing ground
