Already April ? Mosca is hurried, butbut I think we need to talk about what we should design and we should forget for the moment, because there is no interest to have little field for little races.

Luques will do Giro del Trentino.

No preference on other things, just do what others don't want to ;)

The GP Miguel Indurain will take place in 2014 after a private sponsor was found to cover its core budget. It had been announced last week that the Spanish race would be postponed this year, but instead it is set to go ahead as planned on April 5.

Anyway, more months past, more fields are little, and because I am tired to ride on 8 riders moneymaking group I am for some arrangements on the calendar. We don't need anymore 2 tours in parralel + 1 day race. So when it happen we can move the less important tour at an other date. If we can't we can just cancel it. It is why for April I suggest :

1/ Move Criterium International after Driedaagse De Panne, (or cancel it). Criterium actually overlap with Catalunya + Wevelgem. We risk a few participation on these 3 races. CI is only during 2 days, so we can try to put it for 04.04 -> 05.04.

2/ Cancel (or try to find another day, after PR 14.04-17.04 maybe) Circuit de la Sarthe. Not really important and overlap with Pais Vasco, just cancel it.

3/ Move one day earlier Vuelta a Castilla y Leon. 18.04-20.04 = overlap with Amstel (20.04), let's start Castilla the 17.04 so (if we don't move Sarthe for 14.04-17.07).

4/ Cancel Tour of Turkey. Really cancel it, not only move it on the monday because of LBL. Romandie is far enough like tour for this period, no need to have an other tour which will make we won't have more 7-8 teams by group during Romandie.

2* is too much, I guess. In real life it has been a sprint race most years. With 2* it would turn into a pavé race here. The course should be the same anyway every year, shouldn't it?

Yes good one, I support this too.

Fewer different races, times/editions for everyone, and bigger groups.

Or maybe another solution :

Create a semi-stage for La Sarthe ( if there is a TT ) in order to reduce the length of the tour and put Castilla Y Leon just after.... no overlap , no problem , only tours.

Hum not a bad idea, make semi-stages when there is a TT in a tour looks good, at condition of the TT is put like the first semi-stage

totally bullshit. lets create a new game with our own calendar.
hum I don't like the wednesday's stage, too many hills for my team, 1 stage less. I meet friends on friday night, cut some km.
But I have a great TT rider, put some more km because ITT is too short.

if you want to play with real races, keep real profiles. you can adapt the calendar from time to time, but not frequently.
who can decide this race or this race is more important than an other? whatever you will do, there will always be guys who will find that isn't really an advantage for their team.
IMO we have to stay as close as possible to reality.

and eternal proposition, let teams with 15+ (or more) riders do 2 races a day. there will be bigger peletons with lots of drivers.

April Preview:
http://www.cycling4freaks.com/radsport/april2014.pdf

De Panne seems almost the same than 2013, maybe some little hills more in the 3rd stage.
Criterium International after De Panne looks good.
