PeterMeter will start here , too.
Our ultimate ambition is winning a stage. It will be tough enough with this young squad.
#1 - Ximun Pérez Ximun goes for White. Maybe a few good results at hilly stages for him :S
#2 - Emery Etxegoien Our time trialist. Possibly he can reach the top 5 in the TT.
#3 - Erramun Béhotéguy Erramun tries to support in each situation or looks for his own chances in an escape.
#4 - Ramon Aurtenetxe 64-80 but he´s still our best rider for classical terrain.
#5 - Xanti Iraragorri 63-80 and maybe he will try to get the white-red jersey for the best Mountainrider
#6 - Janish Castroviejo new hope for the team. It will be his first stage race for the team. He is allways good for some points.
#7 - Sergi Texa Good helper for the flat part of a race. Not more.
#8 - Josu Martinez Same like Sergi Texa. He won´t get the chance to escape.
#9 - Mariano Leyenda Mariano is another 21y young classic rider. Also in the shape to win some points and money in a sprint of a bigger group.
Total cost ~ 384.000 Credits

Is everybody hiding for a last minute surprise inscription ? Or is the early evening simply a weak edition?

I'm in aswell, youngster team...
It will be my first TTT and I'm looking forward to gain some more experiences...
Unfortunaly starting times don't fit well for me.
16h - too early, still at work.
19h - not possible due to sport/breakfast/weekend.
21h - ending way too late actually for me but It's the only possibility to even compete for me so...

Re: Tirreno-Adriatico 21h
So, we have 2 groups....okay.
Ol had a surprisingly good TTT. Congrats for him. Bayernpower is a solid nr 2 with many strong riders in front of the climbers. Lets see what he can make out of it, might be interesting... But my guess is he wont do much else as defending some top places.
Third is luna team bike at 14". With a solo 77 tt rider, and his whole team in a bunch, including 48 timetrialists.
4th is myself, sitted by veloclubDouchy, since i have connection issues. It was a close fight with Us arvesa! Who counted around 10" advantage on me (with his 89 climber) around the middle of the race. This, and luna's performance, make me think i was much too cautious. But lack of ttt experience made me go for safe. I'll know.better next time, when it will be really needed.
Conclusion... 3 gc contenders. 89 vs 88 climber. And i'm counting Bayern with his kind of Leupold and strong mountain support.
I'm also glad there is one sprinter team. Team Burton, good luck to you!

Re: Tirreno-Adriatico 21h
The interesting thing in the group imo is that there is no real hugelsprinter. Only few classics with sprint skills and many classics without sprint (I mean under 60). So, this should be offensiv teams vs teams protecting their GK leader (2 or 3, not more). should lead to interesting end of stages when it's hilly.
I have yellow tonight, I might be able to keep it for two or three days. I don't know what I will do to save it, with which rider ... depends of the race events tomorrow I guess.
Team burton should be able to make it in 2days with maybe a little help from the leader (maybe me ?) ...
Anyway, I was a bit surprised to win this TTT, only the second of my RSF career, hintel helped me by being offline. Then I did not expect to be competitive like that, was a good surprise !

Re: Tirreno-Adriatico 21h
hm i sucked hardly :S but show must go on. Im looking forward to tomorrow hopefully i can bring a better performance in the race.
Re: Tirreno-Adriatico 21h
Due to be pushed back into the second field i was able to win the TTT with '13. Good job young boys! (all 5 are still youth riders!).
Having a look at other teams on the field i should easily win the white jersey. probably even have more than 3 riders into top5.
i got good chances to win yellow aswell but i'm still unexperienced and it'll be the first time for me to be favourite and defend...
actually i always attacked and tried to be in the winning group since i don't have a sprinter... wish me luck, i'll need it!
Re: Tirreno-Adriatico 21h
Not that bad for my 2nd TTT... My riders were tired at the end but I didn't screw the chances of Oleg Tonkov, "il tesoro", so I'm happy.
My goals are: the CG (epic fight with Nopik in perspective?), and maybe a stage, it would be great ^^
Good luck all!

PHILIPPE BROYLES
What an heroic stage yesterday with Peter. 233kms with 3 guys hehehe.
Making Ol lose yellow, winning the stage... How could it possibly get any better??
Only minus is that at least 4 teams started to chase once it became clear the group was almost through. But ok, always good to know who is a grouphater at the begin of a tour...

Re: Tirreno-Adriatico 21h
Nice stage yesterday.
My big and only plan was to send some helpers in the breakaway, in order to have some at least one helper after the Passo Lanciano. But US Avesa, the best climber of the peloton, didn't really want that. And I doubt Bayernpower the TT-specialist would have let me enough time anyway. Since thise helper was supposed to ride after a strong sieb on the Passo.
So well, nothing to do than to wait...
In the Passo, Bayern starts to ride with a 78 hillguy, while waiting every km for his 72 hill and 80 tt guy.
Avesa keeps 2 helpers for his climber (a 71 78 76 and a semi-climber), while bayern has 4 people in front and I have nobody else than Mirjaqip. Looks like it will be very tough for me, I can only hope for a decent Avesa race at this point. Zavarov is riding in a classic group which passes the top with a 22" gap on the leaders. And Goos is even further away... and keeps losing a lot of time during the downhill.
And then Around Bucchianico, a couple of kms after Avesa took over the tempo making from Bayern, there is a Bayern attack on the first 5% followed by both Avesa helpers (around 4" advantage since he was in tempo). Next km is another 5%... Thus I'm praying for Avesa to do the right thing... And he does, an attack with Tonkov. Mirjaqip following.
Then Avesa and Bayern collaborate until the end, earning a 20" advantage on the rest of the peloton. Looks quite good for the stage with one of our climbers, although I didnt have any helper since the Passo...
But, the main problem is still Bayern with his both TT guys (73 and 80) sticking with our climbers... That's really not good for the GC.
At the first steep km of the final climb (km 243), Mirjaqip decides its time to get rid of those wheelleechers and makes some heavy tempo. Only Tonkov stays with him, of course. I'm hoping for a nice collaboration. But the manager is offline until km 250... No choice, i've to keep going. When he comes back, he decides to collaborate instead of attacking me. Nice attitude imo.
The advantage on the Bayerns is then around 30".
Last 12%, we keep making tempo, the Bayerns lose even more, behind in the peloton there are some attacks, allright. And Avesa sprints at the cat 3 KOM prize. Too bad for him. But maybe I have a chance to beat him in the sprint now, with equal energy. I try to tell him to put in his sprint again, since it's obviously out after the mountain sprint. But too late, he doesn't have time to react, Mirjaqip is the only one who sprints, and he takes the win in this cool stage. Bayern is pushed back to 1' or even a bit more. Really great, everything is perfect, and that without any support rider!

Lulu, Lulu tour!
Kraftsystemrevision! Include the distance!
Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!
Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Re: Tirreno-Adriatico 21h
Big Failure tonight. After OL's lie-concert, and Luna's idiotic boring-sieb-and-tempo action, I missed the block on the final 8% and couldn't follow Tonkov. He gets back 5" on me, now Mirjaqip is looking up to a 3" gap that he must close on 9kms of TT with 1 tt-point less... Sounds impossible.
Too many mistakes by myself during the whole tour.
Let's see what happens tomorrow. But I guess this is it.

That was funny.
A big group, burton and I against 4 behind. We won.
Then some chaos behind, and the pikouze weakness ... no comment.
Probably the best stage (with yersterday) !

No, you won. Helped by Burton.olmania wrote:A big group, burton and I against 4 behind. We won.
As I said from the start btw, and which you refused to admit, by inventing all kinds of false reasons and other crap-lies to have people riding with you. Typical OL.
