Team classement Down Under 20h

Post by el Galactico » Sun Jan 23, 2011 10:53 pm

What is the criteria if 2 teams have the same time at the end. Who wins the classement?

I'm fairly sure it's: LUCK, just a random decision.

No. It´s the sum of the (sprint-) points of all riders of the team.

One of my riders has more sprintpoints than all of the 8 guys from pirati have. So this should definitely be a bug or not?

UCI rules, Part II: Road races, chapter 2.6.016 reads as following:
The team classification for the day shall be calculated on the basis of the sum of the three best individual times from each team except the team time trial that is governed by the specific regulation of the event. In the event of a tie, the teams shall be separated by the sum of the places acquired by their three best placed riders on the stage. If the teams are still tied, they shall be separated by the placing of their best rider on the stage classification.

The team general classification shall be calculated on the basis of the sum of the three best individual times from each team in each stage ridden. In the event of a draw, the following criteria shall be applied in order until the teams are separated:

1. number of first places in the daily team classifications;
2. number of second places in the daily team classifications;
etc.

If there is still a draw, the teams shall be separated by the placing of their best rider in the general individual classification.

Any team reduced to fewer than three riders shall be eliminated from the general team classification.
UCI rules are always worth reading, they are funny as shit.

This rule is too complicated to implement for such a unimportant thing (because it ussually won´t happen).
I think the sum of all points could be similary to this in many cases.

I waited that long for a change of a palmares (and statistics) entry for a team classement and didn't get it till today. I gave it up and yet forget what tour it was.^^
sprint victories:
2007: 33 (30 since buying licence in april)
2008: 54
2009: 36
2010: 47
2011: 34

Picardie 20h.
Lausitz wins the team classification.
He doesn't have more points in his team, and he did not win any stage.

I guess it's still completely random. Is some improvement possible ?

If all teams are equal with the time, the number of sprintpoints are counting...

Meaning sprintpoints of course...

I checked that, he has less, obviously.

Not the first time this happens.

Getting palmares lines seems to be a goal of the game.

Should be corrected.
