Campeonato de los Andes 2011

Post by Aixteam » Tue Apr 26, 2011 2:58 pm

Hi all ,

I know it's maybe too early to talk about Anden but I think it's needed. Why ? The two designers (Cerro & Rasmussen) who are able to design seem to have stopped RSF. And Anden is a big big work. I rode with Alk last sunday and he said me we'll probably use an old version of Anden. Why ? It would be so bad. So I looked for some ideas, just to see if I'm able to do an interesting Anden. I proposed one of them to Ol, who is IMO one of the best designer here, and he found it very good. He even said he would be happy to help me.

I have never designed anything important for RSF, just 4 or 5 fantasy races but I would be happy to do Anden. Can I ? :D

I think yes, brillant, we were waiting for somebody. Anybody.

But don't let OL help you too much... do it yourself! OL help will only hurt him since then I will use it in the fight for the dec tour, he had half of the Andes, no OL!!! Hihihi...
Kraftsystemrevision! Include the distance!
Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!
Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Ok.. no roads???

Get another designer!

But seriously, follow roads, unpaved ones ok, but roads. That's nr 1.

Nr 2 is: Tracks for bikers is not good enough for that i fear. You need to go with google earth, even better google earth tracks followed by the GPS track analyzer thingy.

Good approach! Thought about raising this topic just some days ago, without being able to offer any solution.

Maybe you could PM to Cerro for some advice about finding suitable roads and/or climbs. Maybe he still has set his email notification if receiving a PM. If not probably Buhmann could forward an email to him.

Presentation when everything will be done.

Image

TTT in mountain. We had one at Jura in 2008 I think, and I found that interesting. This one is longer, but less hard.

Image

It's a short stage, because the teams would be dead after the TTT .. But it's not an easy one, and the leaders with reg can make a first gap there.

Image

Normally it's a flat stage, to have back some power. But we have 5-4% 8kms before the end ..

Image

First HC stage. I don't think we'll see much attacks before the last hill, but it is possible. Last hill : 13-14-17-8

The nice Monte Patria :Image

Image

Easy stage. Last hill : 5-10-6-8-5-12

Image

Maybe the hardest stage. Only 156km, but almost only up. The camino al infierno is not that hard, but it is very long. And the second hill of the day is awfull.

Rest day in San Jose de Jachal. Nice city ! Image

Image

Flat stage, the second one. There is a 9, but it should not be a problem... But you have to be online.

Image

One of my favorite stage due to the fact there is no downhill between the hills. You can animate the race there.
Last hill : 6-7-7-8-8-8-9

Image

This one is hard too, due to the paves, and the big hill. Maybe it will hard to attack, but you can do something. Last km : 6%

Image

The circuit in Uspallata might be dangerous. 9-8-8-5-5-5 . You'll have to decide at which km you can attack, because there is no flat km so a climber can escape well.

Image

It's an hard day .. Only up with dead teams, even some of the teams would have lost riders.

Image

Middle mountain stage, the big teams can make the decision there.

Image

Flat stage, but you have to be online from the beginning !

Image

45kms of flat ITT. Maybe you have to tactic, because it's long, but not too long.

The stages are saved as : cdlaa1101, cdlaa1102 , etc etc .. if you want to see the details. Have fun.

Aix, use the "new" profiles! Or is the retro look on purpose?

On stage 9, you are using pavé on 10+%. You entered it as 2014 and 1013, which I think is 10 and 20* pavé. As far as I remember 214 and 113 are correct. I think we had the same problem in a race in the last two or three months, but don't remember which one.

I can make little corrections little this and, if necessary, transponation in the new design, later, if it helps .
Concentrate on the race ;)

The arrival is not really at Puente del Inca, but after. Puente del Inca was the last name I had on the road, so I put it.

St. 2 is high mountains, is that allright ?
Then I thought, oh no middle mountains stages, only flat or high mountains, ok must be on purpose.
But, stage 12 is middle mountain and really tough compared to stage 2.
Can you check it, Aix ?

When I have a look at Stage 2 now, you're right. The difference between the two is due to the fact I designed the first in august, and the last in october .. I send a PM to Leso, thanks.
