Campeonato de los Andes 2010

Post by Cerro Torre RT » Tue Sep 07, 2010 1:48 pm

Well, i have to admit, i worry a bit about this years Campeonato. Rasmussen was the one to draw it, but it seems he didn't race in RSF for quite a time, as all his riders have 0 points. So as it needs some weeks to do this tour (at least it takes me that long), time is getting a bit few. So what do you think, should we wait for Rasmussen or should somebody else take over ? And if somebody else takes over, who shall do it? I would be willing to do it, if you want, and I already searched a bit and i think i got an idea for an interesting tour. Your opinion, please.

Do it. A little more than two months is quite few time for something huge like this. But maybe someone that can contact Rasmussen shall ask him if he really did start something or not.

Told Egsdorfer (who I thought knew Rasse in rl as well, and he confirmed it, Sherlock Ape was right as usual) to tell Rasse to tell us everything etc. as soon as possible. That was a few weeks ago...If anybody meets Egsdorfer in some race... ask again. After all maybe Rasse already did it in the winter or so.

In Winter he didn't. I talked to him some about 2 months ago. Egsdorfer rides the Vuelta with me, so I don't have a problem to ask him.

Egs reported he allready started with the stages, but can't finish them until the beginning of october... so all right, Rasmussen will do it just like it was planned.

Looks like Egsdorfer is in the same race with me today, i will ask him about that another time...

But to be honest, i didn't trust that as well. Not because of i don't trust in Rasmussen, but i know with time problems it can easily happen that it is just not possible to finish that. So as I made a concept last time, I found it too good just to forget it and I startet to work on it, because it's not a problem to have a reserve Campeonato, that can be ridden any later year. I already finished half of the stages, the rest will follow. But please, do not understand that as that I want to boot out Rasmussens Campeonato, I just wanted to create that concept i thought of when i wasn't sure that he is still working on it. But now I can offer that as an assurance that if he can not finish it, we'll have backup solution. Not more than a backup, I really look foward to rider Rasmussen's version.

After quite much work that weekend, I finally finished the Campeonato 2010. I also wrote a presentation that you can read on RSF World News, under "Rundfahrtberichte". It is written in english so most users can read it. I hope you like it and will enjoy riding it.

The stages are saved under andes1001 to andes1015

I want to discuss about the date when the tour will be done. Right now, the calender says from sunday to monday which is quite unusual for a 2-weeks-tour. Why not Saturday to Sunday ?

No Problem
It can be from saturday to sunday or from monday to tuesday ...or other.
It can start a few day before or after the previewed date.

I prefer Saturday to Sunday as a real 2 weeks tour would be.

That could be cool to have the possibility to do 2 "long" tours in November, no ?
