First of all, Mario did it; he trained his first mountain. Hard for him to become a world beater now, but still a good chance to get decent. In general, training is decent, downtraining excellent again. Yash taking one is fine, John taking climbing is good. Juha missing slightly above 50 can happen; he was good so far. The one low-probability training went to Jonas, very nice; 81-69-78 now. Downtraining, Norbert still kept all his flat and mountain at 35, Andres missed the sprint downtraining another time, and even John kept flat.

Seems like Magnus takes up all our training luck! Started the year 75-77 at 30yo, now 78-77 by the end of 31, time to win some more races! Parri survives his first non-100%, crucial month coming up next. Diego 3/4 on ~65%, happy with that. Napier 0/4 on 53% a bit less good, especially since he was supposed to reach 80 pavé this month... Dokker another flat also good, maybe time for some more sprint or mountain now.

Not good, but not too bad either. This time it is Juha taking flat and John missing climbing. Down training is short and, therefore, very good.

Overall, John missing two mountain trainings in the first month lowers expectations from 86 to 85. Maybe he gets some luck later on. Juha is still stronger than expected, +3 flat now, Allan a bit over expectation in climbing, Jonas below expectations in climbing, but above in flat. Marek, finishing his up-training even more stellar after taking another climbing training, to 77, at 32. Everybody else is roughly in the expected range.

Not overly exciting, on the contrary.
Ganambarr+Lanfredini, -2&-3, at 38&37 that's ok.
Toulet -4 at 36 a bit less, but happens..Onkelinx good, but too late.

Gjeldnes and Ole 100%, Arcadio 70%. Not much...Lüthi no down training the performance of the week

Very mixed feelings about this. Downtraining is fine, pretty much as expected and nothing that really hurts too much.
Uptraining with some nice surprises, but also big disappointments. Nembhard flat is ridiculous, but also not that useful. Nice helper for Roubaix, but he is never going to play a real role there. Palamarchuk and Dosmagambetov on the other hand with very helpful trainings. Dosmagambetov only a few m onths away from being my classic with the best mountain skill now.
The 50/50 trainings unfortunately didn't go the way I hoped. Coyotecatl missing mountain again is just horrible. 5th missed training already at such a young age. Really not looking close to what I hoped for. Only one of Dawamat and Ibrokhimov training is fine, but would have prefered the other one. Alborghetti and Aelenei as expected, but Tikhomirov joining the club of classics not training their secondary skill at all. First one to start missing already at 21.
Overall only slightly below expectations, but not the luck distribution I would have wanted

2026-03-05 Drury Walker Flat +1
Would have been my best training of the year if not for one really, really frustrating miss. Cruz finally makes it to 72, little later than I hoped but good in the end. Kawzyk flat to reach 80FL and also 80 pavé, our first ever 80 in that regard. After missing 51% 4 times in a row, Napier decided 29% is a better number for him and finally went up. Diego is on a hot streak, looking really nice already at only 24. Walker double expected.

But horrible Parri miss, all alarm bells already going off, Giro in danger. One more miss this month and it's looking like a rebuild is getting closer. At least his domestique didn't take the first downtraining opportunity he got, maybe Redrocks wants another shot at the Giro...

okay, lets restart our crying about training after months of restraint. Just this, thats it:
2026-03-05 Johann Hölzel Climbing +1
2026-03-05 Willibald Gluck Climbing +1
So the training of Falco is great, reached 74 mountain, first classic since Roger Quickley (75-74-80) nearly a year ago. And Falco just 27 years old so could get some lucky ups too, onlly focus was on mountain, so 78 flat is a bit the downside. Both other (older classics) had a underaverage training reaching 72-80 (Seb) and 71-80 (Chiavacci) with 31 years now.

Gluck trained at 74% (67-75-76, 24y) and plans to become the next Quickley.

No other training taken, not up, not down. Worst is Stowasser missing 63% on flat. Our next self grown flat rider that starts to fail, but still some time to get to 88. Rest had percentages under 24%, no lucky training there.

Mixed bag. Uptraining only for those 23 and younger, but everything I can get there. Downtraing, only for 36 and older. Norbert was finally hit by it. He was 89 for over 10 month and the first downtraining there at 36 is still impressive. The classics are luckily not hit, so they may fulfill their and my ambitions until April and May.

This was actually a good training. Stowasser trains flat again. Gluck high percentage but still. Zelinka double is fantastic, 66 mnt 75 sprint. Falco with the second in a row 75 mnt classic now. Great. Only downside is Maka already losing his 90 flat. The 90+ flat reign of our Söldner is over.

Ganambarr -4, Lanfredini -3, Toulet -1, sprint, grrr. Lüthi -2 but keeps mountain. ONkelinx -1 mountain, he really doesn't keep up well this guy.

+
Gallego mountain, now 74-79, very nice. Late, but very nice.
Bonjour this time takes the mountain, so 65-76
Gjeldnes the 100% flat,
Ole the double

Thanks to Gallego a good training, even if of course we'd have liked to get some Arcadio, he's 23. Or Kagge. Or even Kotibaruly... but ok, that guy seems intent on not training further.

Quite good. Downtraining looking fine, though I would have prefered Piskun keeping downhill.
A lot of nice uptraining too. Palamarchuk up to 54 mountain, Coyotecatl finally with another training to give me some more hope. Dawamat still perfect flat, can switch to mountain now. Girdvainis also back training flat again after one week of missing out. The rest just as expected with no high percentage miss this time
