Oppenheimer joined 5k Club (30.07.2024)
Our PR department nearly forgot it, but Robert Oppenheimer joined the 5k club after winning Eroica Dolomiti in his 141 race at the age of 30. He was a few days older than classic sprinter Tesla, but needed less races for the 5k. Maybe Robert will also have a very successfull 30+ age carreer as Nikola.

Re: Schrödinger's Dogs: A&D
August 2024
The team could avoid a relegation to Division 2. With 10,916 points we endet up on rank 10. With 13 wins (5x Krausz, 2x Oppenheimer, 2x Drinfeld, 2x Babai, Kalman, Quickley) in 30 races, the month was very successfull. Mainly because of a small and climber weak Vuelta afternoon edition. A total of 8 Vuelta stages out of the first 13 were won. Krausz dominates the GC fight so far and Kalman and Oppenheimer could also win stages already. At San Sebastian, Drinfeld got a second place, fighting for the win there but with unlucky hanging. But Drinfeld could win Circuito de Getxo. Early in the month, we started with a cheap team around Baltuska at Vuelta a Burgos. Baltuska won white there and finished 4th in GC, Babai could win stage 1 and wear the GC leader jersey. With 7,147 points we start at rank 2 in Division 1 in September.
Rider of the month
Ferenc Krausz winning 5 stages at the Vuelta is our rider of the month. Yes the group is not that strong, but still. Krausz on the way to become the most successfull A&D rider concerning eternal points after the Vuelta.
Transfers
Michael Faraday ended his carreer when the team was in Spain. He was our pave captain in 2024 but with just x sprint, he was not really successfull. In 167 races he could achieve 2 pave wins (1 stage at TdP, Trofeo de Presa Allende). At Paris-Roubaix he ended up on place 7.
Michael Faraday, 37, 167, 2 wins, 1,171 points
Bought: 49-70-50-51-47 71,8 41reg
Peak: 53-86 with 83 pave
We also signed a new youth rider. The 21 year old German rider Hans-Görg Roos should improve your team in flat terrain. He will focus to train flat for the first month and maybe will be present in some early escapes after the Vuelta.
Hans-Görg Roos, 21y
Bought: 51-73-65-54-45-67.0 48 reg
Goal: 56-87

Alive And Dead celebrate 300th race win (2024-09-05)
The winning streak at the Vuelta 2024 seems endless. We nearly forgot to celebrate the 300th win in the team history. 1370 races were needed for 300 wins, which means a winning percentage of 21.9%. In the eternal ranking A&D now ranks at place 44. Togother with the 206 wins of the former teams (flockmastoR/Equipe Mathematique/Dead And Alive) we have a total winning percentage of 16.2% (507 wins in 3122 races) and would be ranked on place 16.

Re: Schrödinger's Dogs: A&D
September 2024
17,400 points resulted in the next Division 1 victory for A&D. In September, the team participated in 28 races, winning 9 races (6x Krausz, Rella, Obst, Oppenheimer). The month was dominated points wise by the end of the vuelta a espana, where Krausz won 5 stages, the GC and the points classification. Rella could win the GP de Quebec, where our team went for the 3 way strategy (Escape, early Rella, final Oppenheimer). While this sucky strategy was successfully, our tempo in peloton for Drinfeld strategy at Montreal was not. He could only finish 5th after a hard race. In the end tour of Luxembourg saved us the division win without a stage win but a white jersey for Baltuska, 3rd place in GC for Baltuska and the team classement. We also started on top of division 1 in the beginning of October.
Rider of the month
Rella with his first big win is our rider of the month. Usually the stats would speak for Krausz, but the Vuelta group this year just was not competitive and Rella die score good points at both Canadian Classics winning a cat 5 race. Krausz equalized the wins at one GT record from Velasco was not good enough this time.
Transfers
Early in the month, Yann LeCun retired. He was a very good helper for Krausz during his Giro and Vuelta win. He could rarely ride for his own success. In 156 races he earned 1,161 eternal points and no palmares entry. He came closest to it during an escape at December Tour 2023 (second place).
Yann LeCun, 35y, 156r, 1,161 points
Bought: 48-67-76-47-53 50reg
Peak: 68-72-76
Another rider, James Watt, retired late in the month. He had the Watts, he was a good flat rider with good sprint skills. He was used as blocker and first one in our spritn trains, as a late escaper in flat races and as a leader in medium hard pave races. He was more important as a helper and just could win 1 race himself, the offseason classic Dolisie - Point Nore. At Tour of Namibia, he could get on the GC podium with a third place. In 251 races he collected 2,248 points.
James Watt, 39y, 251r, 1 win, 2,248 points
Bought: 47-74-76-55-64 67,1 41reg
Peak: 49-89 with 66 sprint and 77,6 pave
With Younès Banane and Bartholomäus Most, the team will be strenghtened in hilly pave and hilly races. Banane is our hope for the hilly pave classics in 2025, Most will be our hilly money sprinter for 2025 and should diversify our hilly sprint squad around Fanta.

Goal: 65-85 with high pave
