5 days late... ugh... negative record in the Gip calendar era... luckily in a July where there should be less to discuss than in June for example. So this month only 5 days for discussion, my bad.

TDF - Everything has been discussed, but there is still design help needed, see dedicated thread

Austria vs Sibiu - Thought Austria more popular, but if you prefer Sibiu, can be changed.

l'Ain vs Torres Vedras - l'Ain higher category and more popular (?), but if you prefer Torres Vedras, can be changed.

Wallonie vs. Castilla y Leon vs. Czech - Wallone higher category and more popular (?), but if you prefer Castilla y Leon or Czech, can be changed.

Olympic ITT - I suggest to ride the Olympic races as the World Championships recently. Only one edition, only one winner. Not perfect that we have no national system, but better than not riding them at all, I think.

Times and Number of Editions can be discussed, too, of course !

End of the month I would definitely prefer Wallonie as it seems to be the only tour not for climbers

Advantages of Sibiu and Czech, info was already available a few weeks earlier, so it's already designed. Both of them have 2 mountain finish, but Sibiu climb are not as steep as Czech and Austria. Also, they both have a little cobbles, especially Czech in the final stage.
Austria already designed too is also a good point :)
About sibiu, I saw in the editor, it was cat2 and 9riders (maybe a bit too much) :?:

I won't have time to design Wallonie before the beginning of the month (details about this tour was not available last time I checked anyway).
Wallonie is probably a tour where climbers won't be topfavo, unlike other tours, even if Ain should be more classic friendly than usual.
Ain details are now available, 3 stages, 1 for sprinters, 1 for classics, 1 for strong classics/climbers. GPX available, should be fast to design.

Is volta a Portugal an option ? 24th of July until 4th of August. Quite long tour and interesting/various profile. A good transition between TDF and Vuelta for the teams who like riding long tours :) Also we have some portuguese players who would be happy to ride it I guess.
Details about it is already available, so possible to design it quickly if needed.
If Portugal is an option, it could get 2 times and others tours overlapping 2-3times ?

I vote for Austria in the afternoon. I know we had it in the afternoon last year as well but you scheduled it in the morning there too. Austria quite popular usually. Maybe bergwerk supports my afternoon claim!

First stage is short, could be an easy one for sprinters, only a 6%.
Even if stage two is classified as "mountain", strong classic and 80-70 could have word to say there against pure climbers.
Last stage is classified as hilly, but climbers could have their best shot there, with a last climb followed by a steep dh. We could also see a good battle between pure climbers and strong classics. Also the key stage for mountain and (maybe) sprint jerseys.

Great idea! Always loved playing Portugal in Pro Cycling Manager. And like already mentioned great transition between the GT‘s. Please do it😇

You (or someone else) can continue design it, I could finish it when I will have time again, in ten days.

Since you designed a lot already, I can imagine having more different tours but with less editions, for example 1x Austria (afternoon?) and 1x Sibiu (evening?). Similar for the other smaller parallel tours. Portugal can also happen then, but very difficult to decide on editions. Maybe 1x evening only to have a diverse programme (one day races, smaller tours, longer tours).

So if you want to ride something specific, best to do it like AAD. Tell me which tour at which time you would like to ride.

Portugal is at the same time as Wallonie. I think one time is far too less for Portugal.
Both tours with 3 start times should be possible and would be fair.
I don't know if there are more tours Portugal overlaps with, but we can handle it the same way.

6 edition for low cat parallel tours sounds to much tbh.

It’s after the TdF. Shouldn’t be 3-4 editions possible for Portugal?

Otherwise I would prefer a 20h or 21h edition
Czech looks like a nice alternative

But I just like longer tours

Ofc 3 times should be possible, especially with the diversity of profiles.

Putting 1 edition for a 10-day tour is a joke.
Austria is from 2.7 until 7.7 while Sibiu is 06.7 until 09.07.

Pretty sure I will ride TdF anyways, but Sibiu could take place between Austria and Tour de l‘Ain.
Big races should take part at the actual date, but here not needed imo

Think first we should ride the higher category - after this the lower ones?
So Tour of Austria vs. Sibiu cannot really be a discussion - Tour of Austria is a cat.3 tour, Sibiu only a cat.2?
Portugal also cat.2

Why should we discuss every Tour? We have enough kat.2 and fantasy Tours in Winter?
its getting a Kindergeburtstag with Wünsch dir was - if some have no TT guy they say: I dont want ride a tour with TT.
13eens discussion thing is no good idea. you can discuss between two cat.3 and two cat.2, but not between cat.3 and a cat.2 in my opinion.

You are right that in-game Austria is Kat 3 and Sibiu Kat 2 (because of tradition and popularity), but both are UCI Cat 2.1 actually. And also, both are parallel to TDF, so there's always the question, who misses the TDF and what do they want to ride... That's why I asked for opinions/preferences, but of course I know we have a good base of Austrian players.

And with so many tours designed already (good), it is much easier to offer some variety.

So I'm now thinking, for the small tours,

14 Austria || 21 Sibiu (can be Austria in the evening, too, if some teams prefer to ride that)
15-21 Ain
10-15-19-22 Wallonie || 20 Portugal

Czech not included for now, because Wallonie is finally a less mountainous tour. So unless lots of people want Czech at a specific time, it's not needed right now.

2 more days to discuss/finalize. 26th enough for the Final PDF.

Austria AND Ain afternoon is overdoing it! If Schartner prefers the morning for Austria you can of course stick to the original plan!
