Dunkerque 9h

Post by team fl » Tue May 06, 2014 12:05 pm

Team FL will be missing the Giro. Bähhh.... But instead riding Dunkerque at 9h. Weee... And missing the week-end anyway. Damn. These riders will not miss the week-end, but wonder how to ride it without information:

x1 Jan Flachbart
x2 Lars Hirschfeld
x3 Ryan Kilfeather
x4 Arunas Paulauskas
x5 Dominikos Petrakis
x6 Martti Rosenblatt
x7 Janis Smedins
x8 Wilhelm Wahlforss
x9 Ariel Weisman

Goal: Spending some money.
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

But then you might occasionnally be useful and sit the ape, mmhhh...

Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Hugo feared we could win the Giro this year.... Anyway, same counts for you for sitting me during one of these unworthy short tours, like at the upcoming weekend?

Nice, I will send out a cry for help soon anyway.

But back to THIS tour. Mosca Mapei seems to be participating, as well as Nemmen Spass. Could lead to interesting stages and tour developments.

Guess Mosca will ride for Moreno. Question will be if he brings on of his sprinters too or count on his flat/sprint riders and/or pavé specialists.

Nemmen's line-up is easier to guess with only 10 riders in the team. Eisenhower and Auckinlecka as leaders, but no real GC contestant due to the lack of mountain skill in the team.

The other teams that have applied so far I don't know. Some teams with decent sprinters and 6x-7x with sprint, but not much experience.

First stage done, Zachar Rodzjanko (Mosca Mapei)the logical winner, now also in yellow (and green). 5 FL riders in the GC top ten after Stage 1, although esp. Ariel will be kind of exhausted tomorrow, where the pavé parts could make it very funny. AND good old Jan in red, weee. Anyway, to get an overview, here is the favorite check:

General classement:

***** MiguelAngel Moreno (Mosca Mapei)
**** Dovydas Zukauskas (OLcycle)
*** one of the many 6x-7x with 6x sprint riders
** one of the many 7x-7x riders
* a surprise rider

Points classement:

*** Zachar Rodzjanko (Mosca Mapei)
** MiguelAngel Moreno (Mosca Mapei)
* a surprise rider

Mountain classement:

*** the one who wants it
** another rider
* a surprise rider

Youth classement:

*** Ryan Kilfeather (Team FL)
** Dani vanderMoot, Osarenren Okungbowa (both Tulpengeneral)
* a surprise rider

Team classement:

*** OLcycle
** Team FL
* Mosca Mapei

Possible that tomorrow the pave sees a group of strong pave rider take the advantage, then you have to add in favos Smedins or Walforss (I don't which one has best form for this tour); cause the hilly stages have many flat kms and not so strong siebs (just 7%) ... and your team is the best built for these stages imo.

Tomorrow, should be stage + yellow for Martti (or Belkov), but do you want it, or will you go with Mosca for a strong pavemen group (will need to eliminate Belkov then).
I will be curious to see if Mosca plays it all for Belkov's stage win tomorrow or want to play GK for Moreno.

Only flachbart has a good enough pave skill for this. Others won't be in front tomorrow. I think the 7*-7*+ have better chances as they have better pave skill in general. I give a good point to Hirschfield who took bonsecs today (but not a definitive advantage). Wondering also were will be El Maestro and Letalec after the pave's.

I'd add Rosenblatt, Quaderer and Belkov for ** for green.

I really thought about that pavé parts tomorrow. That might be a small chances for pavé riders like Smedins or Wahlforss, but I consider it too small, as - at least that's what I am thinking - the other teams will protect their leaders and bring them back as close as possible (worst case, Mosca waiting for Moreno). It's 17 km after the last pavé part... But it's not completely unlikely. Same counts for Zemaitis who might be able to keep up on just 0***. So the three of them get half a star from my side :)

Nice settings for an interesting stage indeed!

Flachbart has only 55 sprint. Ryan is the 6x-7-x with 6x sprint guy in my team, but has only 69,7 pavé.

Thought about that one too. Rosenblatt has a chance if Mosca waits for Moreno tomorrow. Otherwise, nope. And Belkov will not win green against the sprinters I guess.

So, we can conlude that in the end, everything will be decided by Mosca's behaviour ;)

and if something goes wrong or someone of you don't achieve a goal...you can blame Mosca for his behaviour :lol:

What if Mosca is off :D ?

About green, yeah, the ones winning stage tomorrow if one of these 3 : Rosenblatt, Quaderer and Belkov could get green vs Sprinters, as I think it's possible to go in escapes on stage3 and 4 to get sprint points maybe for these ones ...

Dammit, I can't ride tomorrow... if somebody has time to sit me, please write me a PM...

This changes everything... 3 from 5 stages sitted incl. two of the most important stages for my team. If I had known that before, I would not have registered for the race :(

Wahlforss in yellow (and green), yay! Everything worked well, also due to Alkworlds fabulous preparatory work according to the plan. The stage was won by OL, out of the early group, 10 seconds saved against the group of the GC favorits. It was also OL who tried to distance my riders, grrrr.... ;). So Yellow and Green at Team FL at the moment, Green still interesting, also for the sprinters. White should be save for Okungbowa (Tulpengeneral), although he had problems today to keep with Smedins and Wahlforss, which Kilfeather hadn't. Oha, Team FL in front in the team classement as well. Nice. Anyway, still two stages to go with a tricky one tomorrow, where I will be sitted by Roby.

Last day, dammit. Wilhelm and his buddies will be punished harshly for that. At least the team classement was saved.

Anyway, GW to all winners!
