California 11h

Post by team fl » Mon May 12, 2014 3:14 pm

Dunkerque over, packing things, flying to the US west coast. California! Yay. Oh, wait, only 5 teams? 3 active, 2 newbies (off)? Ahhhh dammit. Anyway, let's try. 1st stage already was a win, tomorrow the ITT with an exhausted team, which is:

x1 Lars Hirschfeld, the Hirsch in the team.
x2 Ryan Kilfeather, already a training denier?
x3 Fran Peterlin, ITT hope, future superstar, or training denier
x4 Martti Rosenblatt, already stage winner!
x5 Janis Smedins, Dunkerque loser, pff...
x6 Desideriu Vatca, mountain classement leader!
x7 Wilhelm Wahlforss - Dunkerque loser, pff...
x8 Ariel Weisman, the mermaid
x9 Alain Yoda, may the force and so on

Goal: a stage win (check) maybe even a classement or two?

ITT as expected. Jamie Cook now leader in the GC, Rooney second, followed by Peterlin. Still two jerseys for Team FL, Green and Red, although the second will not last until after tomorrow I guess. So now three teams competing with a good chance for bergwerk winning the tour. But it's not over yet  .

As expected, Collins wins Stage 3. Cook second, and now also leading the points classement, while Collins does the same in the mountain classement. During the stage ADRIANO FC was very active, while Team FL was still exhausted from stage 1. Tomorrow again a chance for ADRIANO and FL to be the winners. In whatever...

Second stage win for FL, yay! And a victory with three riders in front, wee! :)

The downside is: It looks like bergwerk will win every classement, from general over youth to mountain and points. Even the team classement seams already sealed for him. Anyway, we still fight for green and for stage wins. Unlucky guy so far is ADRIANO FC who hasn't won anything yet. But he is the only one who might be playing during the weekend, so who knows what's gonna happen then.

I thought you ride with Hirschfeld uphill so that you dont lose that much and save energy with the other riders. Was almost save that he cant stay with the bergwerk riders and you need him for the 4% anyway...

... puh, but didn't expect Bergwerk that strong... +1 and -1 worked in his favour it seems.

Yep. But we gained almost one minute. the time advantage was just too big after the climb.

Best thing would have been Lars still in front. But well, yes, it should have occured to me, that he won't make it most likely: :)

And the final result after another stage win for Team FL:

19.05.2014,11 Uhr California
1. Platz: Jamie Cook (bergwerk)
2. Platz: Phil Collins (bergwerk)
3. Platz: Steven Gerrard (ADRIANO FC)
Bergtrikot: Phil Collins (bergwerk)
Sprinttrikot: Jamie Cook (bergwerk)
Jungfahrertrikot: Jamie Cook (bergwerk)
Mannschaftswertung: bergwerk

-> bergwerk is a cannibal. grrr...

would be time, that someone cut the points and money for tours under 11 teams!!!
Horrible ritch after that ....

But a afternoon tour with 10 teams would be better than 3 in the morning and in the early evening no race^^

Hmm... I can't find the thread about money and points for stages races with less than 10 teams... Anybody of you?
