Tour des Pavés 16h

Post by luques » Tue Jan 14, 2014 1:54 pm

Ha! Luques goes to the pavè even if we don't know at all how to ride.

Seems we will have a small group, but really strong. The Ape, Alk and Mosca.

We will try something with escapes and try to get the invisible red jersey.

x1 Bulloch -> The captain, hope he will be there in the final parts of the stage (but not sure about it)
x2 Ojamaa -> Good helper and with 60reg good for escapes too!
x3 Kamizuru -> One of the last tours for him
x4 Vilen -> The downhill monster, but on pave he has some problems :)
x5 Dmitrenko -> Here for some mountain
x6 Alexeev -> Here to help and escape too
x7 Tajibayuly -> Like Blacklow!
x8 Blom -> Escape man, and also helper
x9 Pasternak -> The young! Will go into escapes and show the world how good he is!

I'm here too, 9 riders, find them yourself, they are very super good anyway.
Training for PR, nothing more.
Kraftsystemrevision! Include the distance!
Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!
Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Another small group or is that average size for Pavé tours nowadays? Anyway, we'll still have fun here.
Day 1 already turned out to be great, although not perfect for Team Alkworld. Mosca took his expected win, but Gomez could gain 4s on all the other GC favorites. And if Castelli could have been a little more generous, it could have been even 2s more. Tomorrow will already be a very important day with a hilly pavé stage.

I think we have a team that can do a good lap. Of course our captain Viktor Kudriasov with Honcar Fernandez and support. Today's victory is a good result, we wanted to start well and it is so nice to have begun. Too bad he lost four seconds from the team Alkworld Gomez, who already had the greatest chance, now it will be even harder to try to beat him. Tomorrow we will decide a lot to us. The final will see us in trouble, try to lose as little as possible by Gomez and then try to climb in the next stages. I think a realistic goal for us is that of the final podium and maybe try to win another stage.

Today's stage was really scared. A little to the strength of the opponent, a bit of that 5% to -4 kilometers from the finish and finally to the conditions of the team after the great work yesterday was a little sluggish today. I have to thank RFM helped me managing my team while I was at work in an exemplary way, better than I could have done, again proving to be a strong player and a guy correct and fair. The end we managed to defend, knowing that Alk was stronger than us and that Kelly Ballantines is a tough customer. Good job on the last lap and Honcar first great work of Viktor after the attack on 5%. At the end of this stage, which could really hurt us allows us to recover 2 "on Gomez and wear the green jersey. Tomorrow another battle.

My FAVO CHECK!

General classement

***** Kudriasov (Mosca)
**** Tabakov (Singe), EstradaPalma (Alk)
*** Gomez (Alk), Kelly (Ballantines)
** Ford (Singe)
* lucky escaper,( Matysiak? )

Points classement

*** Kudriasov (Mosca)
** Gomez (Alk)
* ?

Youth classement

*** Dmitrenko (Luques)
* another rider

Team classement

*** Singe
** Alk, Mosca
* Ballantines

For the GC seems done for Kudriasov, Gomez underrated after yesterday stage, don't know if he will keep up these two days. Tabakov quotations raises. Also for points seems good for Kudriasov. The white seems done for Dmitrenko (about 15min advantage). For Team Classement, although Mosca seems to have the best team the huge amount of work he will have to do could be penalizing.

I think Gomez should be higher than that. Ahead of Tabakov, who of course will try, but....
Alks strenght is that he has 2 guys in the running, Estrada with more pavé, Gomez with the sprint that will give bonifications. So for me the 3 main favorites are Viktor Kudriasov and the 2 Alks. I'd like to get the GC too of course, but being nr 3 in pavé, and further back in sprint... kind of difficult I fear.

As expected interesting stage today.... Big winner Mosca, but I have the feeling he could be the big loser too? Might be wrong of course. But thought he spent a bit much on chasing Zibi first.... but ok, bonifications there, so that still worth it. Then IMO he fell for an Alk bluff, Alk already with the fitter team, that should be able to decimate Mosca pretty easily tomorrow, (but would have to invest energy then), but as well on the last stage, there pretty early too. Power once gone doesn't come back that easily on pavé.... The Alk bluff (if it was one) after dropping Matysiak, asking for help from Mosca. There.... not sure if it was worth it for Mosca, in the moment I probably wouldn't have joined in his place, looking from outside of course, not sure if I had seen his energy what I would have done... Honchar in, 39 reg, and for tomorrow he's gone for sure. While Paya should be fit, so another team advantage for Alk. And while Estrada is 10" back now it's not hopeless at all. All he needs is 5" and the stage tomorrow or on the last day, which doesn't seem impossible. Last day probably likelier... but he can wait and see for tomorrow... Important that he doesn't lose bonifications to Viktor tomorrow. Anyway, Matysiak... wonder if Alk really would have gone out without help from Mosca... if he does, then Matysiak is more of a danger, then he doesn't lose 4' already today, but would still have lost time, IMO around 2'... yes, Paya unfit lost only one in the last pavé bit to the end, but Matysiak would have lost more, he wasn't fit either. Then still possible to get him, tomorrow another 1'30" to 2' possible, likely, with a fit Honchar and Paya. Anyway, I probably would have gambled and not helped yet as Mosca, maybe a bit later, hoping the result today doesn't change... but he didn't, still won, we'll see in the next 2 days if he pays for it or if he's strong enough to defend those 10" resp. 23" seconds.
Big loser though me I think. First attack with Tabakov ok I thought, didn't expect Viktor on me though, without him I probably force Estrada to ride, caught soon too for sure, but at least Ford stays, maybe Tabakov too, not sure, but possibly. Then the Kudriasov attack probably. Following... then nobody in tempo, utter stupidity to try another attack then, just do nothing, maybe the first km safety tempo in case Kudriasov attacks instead of making tempo... but that would have been stupid, so no real need, just do nothing... last pavé km then tempo so not to lose to much to the attack, that's it.. instead noooooooo, I attack myself, completely idiotic, was pretty clear Mosca was going to go in... So GC, I was really nr 3 before, Alk 40, Mosca 40, me 15, Ballantines 5 or something like that, now I'm down to 5 or so... .brrrrrrrrrrr. Bad riding there...

Another stage over, more time lost. Kudriasov and his strong team really seems tough to beat. But we'll keep on trying. Yesterday, the original plan went better than expected. Without Ballantines, it would just have been suicide, with him, there was at least a chance to succeed. Unfortunately, Marcin wasa little bit too weak for Gomez, also due to his red attack, while Gomez and Yushimito were attacking green only. My mistake was then not to make tempo with Gomez and waiting for him. Gomez could have avoided losing that much time with that. Tomas' attack of course was a bit desperate ;-) But with him there wasn't really much to lose either in that situation. After all it was better to try and fail than not to try at all.

The only thing missing a leg . For now, things are going very well with 3 stage wins and the green jersey already on the bulletin board . It ' was really hard yesterday with all the teams that have tried : Singe and Luq with the escape from a distance that forcing Alk has taken much earlier than expected and we are required to defend especially our soldiers , then Singe that still left us with only 3 men before but Alk sewed in bringing Boris and Ravil that they were great to contain the disadvantage when Alk and Ballantines attacked . Finally, a word for a runner too often forgotten : Vlado Honcar in these two stages has really given his heart and great merit of success is definitely his . As he also Santino Fernandez gave an excellent first contribution containing Estrada Palma then recovering even on him. Viktor realized the work of a team that so far has been really strong. The objective was to understand where you can stay in the Paris- Roubaix, I think you can go running to win.

Alk I'll explain what happened yesterday : I work in a bar -restaurant, I followed the race from there , usually on a Saturday afternoon is very quiet at this time , unfortunately, got people "own" the wrong time, this is not me allowed to change the runners -time at the right time . Patience .
This does not detract from the great race that you did yesterday and the beauty of this tour is always open and always fought .

My report cards :
ALKWORLD : 10 we always try , at every stage , and just when it seemed wrought pulls out the perfect race and won the round. Immortal .
BALLANTINES : 9 does not have great team here , but it has a great captain . It 's always active and takes a nice stage with Matysiak . Eventually his perseverance led him to the podium. demoniac
MOSCOW : 8.5 three stage wins and the green , it should be on the podium, but in the end the bitterness is so great . to grant him the merit of great generosity and for having defied the champions . heart
SINGE 6.5 has a good team, but no longer Villa. eventually tries but misses the shot. It will be difficult client in Flanders and Roubaix, but here it does not shine . Electrocuted .
Luques : 7 knows he does not have the team, but plays well with the task Tryin continuously. The absence of the opponents brings with it a precious white jersey . profiteer

:)

That's too bad that it was decided that way. Of course Kelly, Gomez and EstradaPalma could still have worked better together with Kelly getting stage win and podium and EstradaPalma getting yellow. And I guess they would have made it, even if Honcar would have gone fast at 0***.
Anyway, as a few times before, the pave tour was small, but fun. Thanks to everybody for that.
