Sachsen Pflaster 10h
Despite the overpowered team Deuseburger, the overpowered Team FL will start at the Sachsen Pflaster 10h. Although the Team FL leadership by the Steinsson twins seems obvious, the line-up will be pure alphabetically:
x1 Kenny Banzer, is looking for a good tombstone
x2 Henri Bienvenu, once without Ollé Ollé
x3 Victor Fargas, still looks for a goob bookshop in Saxonia
x4 Harry Hole, orders Jim Beam on the rocks...
x5 Niels Hörnö, looks for new teeth to care about.
x6 Stefan "King" Küng, honorary Kiesler
x7 Arni Steinsson, Kiesler No. 2
x8 Kari Steinsson, Kiesler No. 1
x9 Walter Walch, tries to find a nice stone for each of his kids
Goal of course to be a pain in the ass for Deuseburger and thus winning every classement incl. all stages. Yes!

If 2 fight, the third is laughing. RIGHT?So, obvious and easy Willy-win. Despite that theory, i dont really have an idea how to beat Deuse.

Re: Sachsen Pflaster 10h
Funny stage 1. A big attack short before the finish where Lesniewski (ABC Polsat) and Canteloup (Palm Island) are suddenly in front, while all the favorites lost power for a useless attack. Deuseburger, the big favorite, is not able to catch them again and in the end, even Arni Steinsson (Team FL) and another group of three riders incl. Harry Hole (Team FL) is able to reach the finish line in front of the main group. In front, Canteloup has not much problems to win the sprint against Lesniweski (only 46 sprint) and thus is the first leader of the Sachen Pflaster 10h. Nevertheless, nothing is decided yet.
The Favorite Check:
General classement:
***** Odendaal, Kinnear (both Deuseburger)
**** K. Steinsson (Team FL)
*** A. Steinsson (Team FL), Vandendriessche (r Quick), Le Roux (Deuseburger)
** Lesniewski (Team ABC-Polsat)
* a surprise rider
Points classement:
*** Odendaal, Kinnear (both Deuseburger)
** K. Steinsson, A. Steinsson (both TEam FL)
* a surprise rider
Mountain classement:
*** the one who wants it
** another rider
* a surprise rider
Team classement:
*** Team FL
** Deuseburger
* r Quick

moin miteinander...
next to an article where the management of team deuseburger was ripped to peaces, the following guest commentary by the former deuseburger rider rupert rheeder was found in a local deuseburger käseblättchen...
first stage has been done, cards where delt, picked up and played and r laying on the table now... whereas some called this a funny stage, here, back at the deuseburger teambus where they are all licking wounds, catastrophic is the word heared most. And licking wounds they are indeed, i saw everyone face down with almost no reaction to any of the obvious questions. Not being able to lead their guys to a final sprint on the very stage that, on paper at least, looked the easiest one to achieve that for sure left its mark. Frustration all around, even with the teams manager and sports directors. Not a single sign of fighting spirit seems to be left and no interview was given. With no valid information available we have to leave you with some speculation, which, nonetheless, according to my own time with the team, might indeed be of some truth. In the teams entourage the manager was quoted with the words: they rather expect us to be in the breakaways now than to work in the peloton one single km... Just hearsay? we´ll find out the next days...
cheers rr

Re: Sachsen Pflaster 10h
Puh, right after the attack, I didn't think that Kari and Willy would make it. First I was very surprised that nobody else followed them. Then I wondered why Hörnö's attack didn't work But in the end, it worked out and Kari won the stage and Team FL is very happy. Now the chances for Kari improved a lot for the GC although the hard stages are yet to come, esp. on Thursday and Friday. And although the Deuse riders are 17-24 behind yellow (which is still worn by Canteloup from Palm Island, who was sitted by Hansa today), it's not over yet. But I really thought that stage one and two would be clear victories for Kinnear or Donderboom. Obviously, they were not. Anyway, I still think it would have been possible.

Re: Sachsen Pflaster 10h
would haven been possible, but Deuse lacks 1,2 really strong flatguys to keep the bunch together and to chase possible attacks

Re: Sachsen Pflaster 10h
Absolute MUST-win today. On whom to hang one, when not on willy? At least 1 Deuse MUST be on his wheel. Now it's set up for Kari. But still everybody with chances.Team Franconia wrote:would haven been possible, but Deuse lacks 1,2 really strong flatguys to keep the bunch together and to chase possible attacks

Re: Sachsen Pflaster 10h
Ai ai ai. Kari missed the attack at the last km as the Team Management lost the team radio somehow. Anyway, still everything wide open, because non of the GC favorites caught some bonus seconds. Instead, Quick and Palm Island finished a successful km 1 attack with Quick as the luckier one. Tomorrow the first of two short but hard pavéstages starts, hopefully with a more motivated Deuseburger than today. Otherwise, there really might be a laughing third. Like Canteloup, who is still wearing the yellow jersey.

Re: Sachsen Pflaster 10h
Hmm.. I guess today's stage will be left out because of the server downtime. So it is only tomorrow. One hard last pavéstage. Would be more interesting with today's stage I guess, but in the end it won't change very much. The only question is if the rider start all with full power or as the power would be today. This (for pavé stage races very important) tactical factor will be diluted.

Re: Sachsen Pflaster 10h
Unfortunately for himself, Deuseburger was offline most time of the race. At least he could save something for Odendaal. In the meantime, the race developed like Team FL expected: initiative by Team FL, lurking ABC and Quick. In the end, Quick tried everthing against Kari who then attacked succesfully. Laughing third was Lesniewski who caught kari on the last km. While the nordic Kiesler did not sprint, Lesniewski won the stage and is not waering the leader's jersey, 1 sec before the Steinsson twin. Vandendriessche is still in lurking position 20 secs behind the both of them. This seems to be a very interesting situation for the stage tomorrw, with or without Deuseburger.

Re: Sachsen Pflaster 10h
What a finale. It ended in another way than expected but still to Team FL's pleasure, obviously. I won't write much about the stage. But it was exciting very much. And Kari won it
. Again I want to thank Deuseburger for his fair behaviour. He could have been the one that decides the whole thing (for s.o. else), although his riders were not in topform as he said. Here are the facts, lazy style:
26.10.2012,10 Uhr Sachsen Pflaster

2. Platz: Willy Vandendriessche (r QUICK)
3. Platz: Marek Lesniewski (Team ABC-Polsat)

Sprinttrikot: Kari Steinsson (Team FL)
Jungfahrertrikot: Maciej Paterski (Team ABC-Polsat)
