It's no offense against you Aux, but i think the really big races should be designed by experienced designer

Pff, I am an experienced designer and have no problem with Aux designing. And the information RCS gives will be very good anyway. the pourcentages of all the major climbs for every 500 meters. Only problem is that they like giving the info late....

Of course I'll be a pain in the ass as usual and complain nonstop if I don't agree with a detail at km 3 of a 250 Km stage....Or if I think the change from the 30" to the 1' tact is too early.

Something that I will probably complain:

sterrato, naturstrasse "unpaved roads" In the climb to Monte Grappa there will be a short section. Then of course the TT to Kronplatz. Plus Montalcino.

And as in 08 (or was it 07?) I say. Ignore it. The effect pavé has in RSF is different from natural road in a climb.

Basically natural road makes it harder, favors the pure climbers a 7% climb feels more like 8% then 7%. At RSF by putting in pavé the opposite happens. 7% with pavé favors the usually weaker climber that have more flat. A 80-70 benefits from pavé, the 90-50 is penalised. In reality it would be exactly the opposite. I say ignore it. No pavé on Kronplatz and Monte Grappa. It just distorts the race by favoring riders that in reality aren't favored by the sterrato. Montalcino of course is a different case, there it has to be there.

even greater and the difference in values between cobbles, or gravel road in the rain ... with gravel or dirt roads or sandy gravel, are already 3 different types, where a little water can make a difference huge

! minute takt:Look my designd race...I hate 1 minute,i think 10-20 km. is good.

Montepaschi time did you get!
and Sardegna, I did not know that did not want to sign, otherwise I would soon draw

MMhh. so where would you make the 1' transition in the stage to Aprica, or Gavia or Zoncolan for example?

I also can help. Maybe 3-5 stages if necessary. Does somebody know when the details (roadbook with timetable) will be online??

Actually I think we don't need a decision on anything.

Aux said he wants to design... let him design.. and let him take his time.

It's the same discussion every year though.. the Gazzetta is slow, they bring up their details VERY late. But when they are there, they will be VERY good. Design it now and it will have mistakes, especially in the mountain and medium mountain stages. Plus of course the Giro being the Giro some stages will change, some already have, but still have the original profiles and descriptions on. Then we'll have this and that..and it takes AGES to get anything corrected here. Better get it as good as possible the first time around... Ready late? No problem.

Of course some stages with no big difficulties can be done now already.. or even the Kronplatz TT if somebody finds the 2008 profile.. they usually bury their stuff in strange places or take it off at the gazzetta... mmh, actually that one maybe doesn't even have to be designed, we have it from LCB in 08.

If it's really necessary i can make a little too. But if not, i prefer make some fantasy races now.

Some hollydays after the belgian races. ;)

Help would be better i think. 21 stages to design are very hard, and i think it would be better if we have at least some of the stages before the may begins. I know that this will be really hard.
