2024-01-30 Big Donkey Elaska 1 Good move, good reading of the race, just the sprint didn't work out. High quality racing.
Re: Tour de France 2011
Yet another picture I did not want to see. Is it rally necessary to show a half naked rider with injuries? Hope he can finish tomorrows stage and we can see pictures of him attacking again soon.

Re: Tour de France 2011
Every French would have prefered to see Hoogerland winning and even taking the yellow to Voeckler than that Gaurain ..
Hoogerland will be back next year even stronger, he deserves it. And I hope he can still finish this tour aswell and if not better look for his own health! Get well soon!

He said he's going to the hospital on Monday (for checking again), but his dogs will be castrated on Wednesday. With all the medication he got, he just hopes that he don't confuses the two dates
And another one with British humo(u)r (although only in German):
"Jetzt wo die Medikamente nachlassen wird mir die Realität bewusst. Es ist traurig, dass ich so früh auf dem Rückweg bin. Ich kann mich aber nicht genug bei jedem bedanken, der mich unterstützt hat. Die ersten Worte meiner 6-jährigen Tochter am Telefon: "Daddy, bedeutet das, dass du jetzt mit dem Fahrrad fahren aufhörst und nicht mehr von zu Hause weggehst?" Kinder!"

Re: Tour de France 2011
Thank you! Very nice, but omg whose legs?
Yesterday I was a bit disappointed by Leopard... Ok, Voigt had bad luck, but I expected an attack by the Schlecks or at least hard tempo by Monfort to get in front to their helpers at the Col d'Agnes. Gerdemann and Voigt were in the escape for nothing.
And then the sprint by Andy in the end - looked like he still had a lot of power (why not such an attack some km before?).

Luuc Eisenga, the Rabobank communications manager posted a tweet with a quote from ten Dam saying: "You don't quit the Tour because of a thick lip."

I come back from my holidays in the netherlands and see... NO word about finally Cadel winning a tour? Oh guys!
I like it, very cool, also Schleck-attack up to Col du Galibier, very exciting stage. Awesome tour, and Contador finally loses yeaaaahhh!!
AND: Two stages for german riders, wow! Greipel and Martin, very cool, they both deserve a win!
