Early evening Tour

Post by Radunion » Tue Jul 01, 2025 6:17 pm

As my preferred times for longer tours (20 h and 21 h) are not rode, I will start here. The line-up is not finally decided, we will play "Reise nach Jerusalem" with 9 chairs and 11 riders:

The sprinters:
Sophus Lie: hopes to be delivered to 100 m in up to five stages
Andres Carrasco: aspires to be the leader, is confident he has the best chances for green in the team, and urges the manager to keep Sophus at home
Myron Scholes: either as the lead-out for the Sophus train or a more flexible helper for Andres. Will have to do some work in the groupetto, as in the Giro

The classics:
Thorvald Thiele: the not really GC rider in the team. Can aim for hilly stages and do some long-range moves there or in the high mountains.
Marek Kac: the downhill classic as a helper, or to try something himself, wants his chance after missing the Giro
Adriaan Fokker: with decent mountain and sprint, he hopes to get a spot despite his downhill and reg. With him in the team, we will have to act more passively.
Jonas Mockus: Hopes to get his first Grand Tour at 21, even if he is not ready for big things yet. Downhill and reg are an asset here, and he will train before and during the Tour. Angry that he was not allowed to set a form for this month.

The flat guys:
Humberto Maturana: Will ride a lot for sprints and in escapes, and then ride some more.
Lauri Vaska: The closer and now the experienced road captain for the team
Norbert Wiener: a reliable flat helper in his prime
Loup Verlet: good flat/downhill combination, still young

The final decision will be made on the day of the first stage after training.

The Trojers will start here again ... Watch out for the stagehunterssquad and Mr. Top10:

The designated leaders:

1) Roland Symonette - Mr. Multifunctional 1 - Here to scare superclassics and block finishes besides winning stages
2) Andres Caceres - Mr. Multifunctional 2 - 3 Giro stages and a top 10 - He wants more ... either on his own or for olena

The possible leader:

3) Olena Horodna - Mrs. Maybe Green - Here it will depend much on the field ... from serial winner and green contestant to first riding classic all is possible

The mountain helpers:

4) Hamid Awate - Mr. Backup - He will most likely be the one of our classics that rides the first long stint
5) Jarno Widar - Mr. Newbie - The belgian closes the two big holes in our team siebing and early downhill ... and this reg
6) Edgar Tekere - Mr. Battery - Due to his reg he cant ride much be he is always in front for a long time giving water away ... and waits for the one big attack

The flat helpers:
7) Carlton Trumpelton - Mr. Whatthere for - He is just here because of some reg and some hill so he wont be siebed that early
8) Thomas Sankars - Mr. Lung - With his reg and flat he will be the one to take groups back when they reached their max gap
9) Niels McDonald - Mr. Deuce - The young tennis player came here due to his horselung that will allow him to keep groups in good distance

8) Thomas Sankars
Scandalous that this clone gets a passport!
Kraftsystemrevision! Include the distance!
Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!
Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Team presentation: Hoefs Cycling Team.

April was the first racing season of this small team. We immediately put ourselves in the spotlight, resulting in a wildcard for the Giro.

The Giro went great with 4 stage wins and the points jersey!

We continued our performance well at the national championships: 2 championship victories and 5 podium finishes. Just before that, Laszlo had won a stage in France.

We couldn't be denied a wildcard for The Tour de France!
These achievements have not gone unnoticed and we have therefore managed to secure a co-sponsor: Mint Green Popcorn 🍿 Thanks to an investment, we recently attracted our young leader.

Our goals for this Tour: a jersey, top 10 GC and a stage win.
(Hajsafi was close today, but Andrade was better)

One for the TT, favorites check:
(Who does it after the TT?)

White jersey:
*****
Maciej Krawczyk (Hoefs Cycling Team)
In the absence of competition: sky-high favorite. I will therefore leave other riders out of consideration.

Mountain jersey:
*****
Kyshawn George (Hansa)
Won the mountain jersey in the last Giro through calculated driving, without risking his GC. Will he do the same this Tour?

Kevin Teller (Fly Eagles Fly)
Explosive top climber, and thanks to a strong climbing team: fellow top favorite!

****
Jarno Widar (Team Trojer Vellau)
Comes just short of a top 5 GC. If he drives for the Polka Dots, together with his strong team: then the top favorites are no longer top favorites!

***
Carlos Ortiz (waerl)
Top climber, but will probably save his energy for the GC.

Hirotugu Akaike (Allrad)
Not a top favorite, not even for GC, if others let him ride, he can score a lot of points! Anyway Langs GC ambition will be a stay in the way!

David Constantin (Hansa)
A rider who always performs well in the last days of a big tour and therefore take this beautiful jersey into account!

**
Andy Bless (Hansa)
Just continues to rack up points.

* Adolphe Mercator (White Red)
Rides super effectively and is still firmly in the lead, but will really fall short in the mountains. But who knows: it looks like he swallowed a Duracell battery.

Sprint jersey:
*****
Rafael "World Tour" Andrade (Dreizehn)
Can peak like no other. The best sprinter so far and he will maintain that. The favorite for me.

****
Sophus Lie (Radunion)
When you say sprint, you say: "Lie!" The fastest sprinter by distance, but has already lost some points.

***
Adolphe Mercator (White Red)
Adolphe legend made. Duracell Mercator. Can he maintain this form? he is already proudly in the lead!

**
a whole bunch of riders: Adel Hajsafi (Hoefs Cycling Team) Olena Horodna (Team Trojer Vellau) Andres Carrasco (Radunion) Simba "Prince" Randu (Dreizehn) Adriaan Fokker (Radunion) Kim Schleck (PandaCycling) Andres Caceres (Team Trojer Vellau) and Levan Bosodar (Fly Eagles Fly)

*
Laszlo Szoboszlai (Hoefs Cycling Team)
I still want to mention him. won the points classification convincingly in the last Giro, but now seems less in form.

Then the classification, which is what everything revolves around, is called: Yellow!
*****
Carlos Ortiz (waerl)
On paper the best classification rider, but may lack support in the high mountains.

Kyshawn George (Hansa)
Undecided between 5 and 4 stars. It depends on his team. If Hansa goes all out for yellow and can resist the temptation of the mountain jersey, then definitely 5 stars!

****
Kevin Teller (Fly Eagles Fly)
Did everything he could to make a good impression. He is a top climber and therefore a favorite. Has a strong team and that is the last plus point. TT and reg will make him lose the Tour. But where two fight, the third can win!

Ricarda Lang (Allrad)
Don't forget Lang! After today the yellow may already be around his shoulders, otherwise soon after. Is he going to give up this jersey?
If Hirotugu Akaike does his work in the high mountains, try to save enough time there. He will undoubtedly lose a lot of time in the high mountains, but the question is how much!

*
Hirotugu Akaike (Allrad)
Very good tour rider, but will probably have to go to work!

Tour 2025

Post by drei.zehn » Wed Jul 09, 2025 9:35 am

Finally we make our introduction here! We were unsure when to start for a long time and ended up in the 19h field.

Our lineup:

21 Rafael Andrade

We wanted to go for sprints and green, without a gc guy. But even when Bei joined the lineup last minute. Rafael stays our leader for the tour. And he already delivered with winning stage 1!

22 Liu Bei

We checked the opponents before the start and realized that P4-5 could be possible. Without Howie as no1 helper it will be difficult, but lets see.

23 Temptation Coventry

Mountain yersey and stage wins, thats what he is here for. Not much activity so far, but his time will come!

24 Benno Gooddy

Reg helper, will be seen in groups.

25 Mariss Jansons

Here as cheap helper. The national champion is searching for a day where he can go for a result.

26 Eugenio Montejo

Reg helper and flat power. Maybe he gets a chance in escapes, otherwise will be used as puller.

27 Simba Randu

Hillsprinter with some stage chances, maybe can profitate from TTV. So far lost every sprint against Horodna. Sprint leadout & best mountain helper for Bei. Sounds like bussy weeks for Simba.

28 Desmond Tutu

Disappointing so far. Should be the second men in Rafaels leadout train, but in 2 sprints so far he was already siebed twice. Switching him to Fei would have saved us 453k in salary in the 21 stages.

29 Guan Yu

Cheap helper. Maybe will be seen in some groups.

That's my inexperience as a c4f player: I probably overestimate the 5 big mountain finishes in my favorite check.
Nice introduction Dreizehn and thanks for your reaction.

After today its 3 mins on waerl & 3:20 on Hansa.
Maybe the 49 flat of lang will be a factor…maybe we will have some gc action on stage 21 ;)

participating teams:

Hansa Div1
TTV Div1
Dreizehn Div2
Radunion Div2
Allrad Div3
Beullen Div3
waerl Div3
Hoefs Div4
Bitibert Div4 (WTF?)
White Red Div5
Panda Div5
Fly Eagles Fly Div5

Maillot Jaune

***
Lang (Allrad)
**
Ortiz (waerl), George (Hansa)
*
Teller (Fly Eagles Fly), Bei (Dreizehn), Constantin (Hansa)

For me Lang no1 with Akaike as strong support. But watch out, if the 3 top mountain riders work together, Lang could even Drop from podium. Pure skills Ortiz is no2, but Hansa with the much stronger team and just knows how to win GTs. Teller with an ITT disadvantage could get some stages. Everyone else riding for the places.

Maillot Vert

***
Andrade (Dreizehn)
**
Lie/Carrasco (Radunion), Mercator (White Red)
*
Horodna (TTV), Hajsafi (Hoefs), a surprise escape rider

Before the start I would have put Carrasco at no1, but I guess Rad cant emotionally put Lie as leadout. Maybe just focusing on stages. Horodna could be no1 too, but TTV already missed 2 oppotunities. A bit disappointing performance so far. If Mercator still getting escape points, he will win it. But for now its Andrade as top favo.

Maillot à Pois

***
Cov (Dreizehn)
**
Kleber (Hoefs)
*
Mercator (White Red)

Cov best rider of the guys who already showed interest. Not mentioning the gc guys, but this years profile is perfect for a pure mountain rider to be king of the mountains.

Maillot Blanc

***
Maciej Krawczyk (Hoefs)
**
No one
*
No one +1

Hoefs can just loose it, if he falls asleep the whole last week.

Team classement

***
Hansa
**
Allrad, Fly Eagles Fly
*
TTV, waerl, Dreizehn

Pretty much could be for anyone. Ranked out of a feeling. Maybe escapes play a role here too
