Morning Giro

Post by zizou » Sun Apr 27, 2025 6:05 pm

We will start in the morning field.

The lineup:

1 - Florencio Sánchez
2 - Costel Constantin
3 - Ondrej Kucka
4 - Roger Quickley
5 - Pascal Sassel
6 - Alberto Sastre
7 - Marcos Tomas
8 - Torstein Traen
9 - Javi Valverde

Salary: 635k

One last time it's all for Sánchez, who was already third here last year and won the white yersey.

It will be the end of a great career and maybe even a longer break for the whole team afterwards (a small chance for Dauphiné in june).

The goal depends on his luck on the training days. Podium at least, maybe even more possible. Of course it also depends on who else is in the field. The gravel stage is scarring us a bit, but we come prepared!

Who will join us?

There is a chance that I start in the morning Giro.

If I do so, this is a possible lineup:

#1 Maik Eberhart - stage hunter
#2 Ignacio Andrade - Top15 GC rider
#3 Carlos Alvarado Quesada - Money sprinter
#4 Alexandros Poulos - helper and escaper
#5 Gregorio Paltrinieri - downhill monster and escaper
#6 Kai Hummel - top15 tt rider, cheap
#7 Hannes Glaser - Pavé troublemaker
#8 James Warrington - cheap
#9 Robert Warschner - old guy for team harmony

Changes totally possible

Because there is no great side program, the Schartners will probably have to ride the Giro ... of course to the condolences of Sanchez - Great Rider :-) - even if there is little time for it ... hope we are there

1. Zamorano
2. Hawerchuck or Takacs
3. Topol or Takacs
4. Lafleur
5. Segev ... its his 2nd Giro
6. Awerbuch
7. Thanner or Cohn
8. Graber
9. Frittalogia

Our team for the Giro is 95% confirmed. There will be something for every terrain. The focus is on winning stages, without big podium ambitions.

#1 Sabo - young climber with TOP10 chances in the GC
#2 Lengani - classic with some sprinting
#3 Griffith - classic, also something for escape
#4 Bologo - young classic with a push into the breakaway groups
#5 Pinder - cheap helper
#6 Miller - puller for the groups
#7 Louis - sprinter, maybe something is possible on the flat stages
#8 Garrix - helper for Louis to block
#9 Kuum - hopefully 2 stage wins, but otherwise most expensive helper

We're counting on chaos in the morning and hope to have fun. :D :D

#3 Lizardo - sprinter
#4 Bailey - helper / escapist
#5 Martini - helper / escapist
#6 Corona - helper
#7 Karlsberger - helper
#8 Yuengling - helper
#9 Singha - helper

primary goal is just to get some experience riding my first GT
