So Algarve no option? Didnt take a look on it this year, but remember that it was always a nice early season tour.

+ maybe quite nice for our portuguese part of the community

Parallel to provence or gran camino?
Real date would be parallel to UAE and these tours are too similar I think

I do not think this should be a criterion, the importance of race should. With its long history and good participation, you could even argue that it is more important than UAE. So for me, even 3 tours with 2 times would be an option. Changing dates is something I oppose for tours though.

Kleinigkeit:

Beim Gran Camino fehlt der Hinweis, dass es noch bis zum 02.03. geht. Stand sonst glaube immer mit im Kalender

Still no info found about KOM and IS, will need to be adapted. Final kms might need to be adjusted too when there are more details :

Final PDF online

- NCs added on 25th
- Besseges added (1 edition)
- Algarve added (1 edition)
- Valenciana, Oman, Gran Camino 2 editions each
- UAE 3 editions

Something for everyone in February :D

Will start planning/publishing in the Editor soon. Good designer work so far (one reason why it was possible to add more variety).

They changed the big loop and extended the circuit.

Kept Challambra at +9
Finish line now 0, which I think is more realistic, but other views welcome

The finish line is on an asphalt road, but in the middle section it should be proper difficult for a World Championship, so I go up to ***. So the circuit is
-1** +3*** -3* +1.

For info, 3 riders/team as discussed in the Cyclocross thread.

Thanks for all the design work. The TTs on Besseges and Valenciana are still classified as normal flat stages in the preview.

Final is final, unless I made some stupid errors. Then there can be a final-final ;)

In this case, Besseges was added because a few teams requested it, and they could have asked for specific times, too, of course. I can't fulfill every wish, but I try my best :D Robyklebt for example explained why he thought 2x morning edition would be too much for these 3 tours and I thought, he's probably right. Still think so, but if there would have been a few people asking for a morning Besseges, could have been discussed. Next time I would say :)

Algarve's final climb percentages seem very low compared to the ones on their website

https://voltaaoalgarve.com/pt/etapa-2/

Also the ITT climb seems to have some discrepancy

Profiles should be updated, but after looking more closely at some of the stages I have a question for more experienced designers. Since on stage 3 the final kilometer finishes uphill, should I put a 1% there even if the kilometer is mostly downhill?

debatable, both solution should be fine, i would go for a 0% here i think, the last 300m go up 5m thats 1,7% the 400m before that are 0M difference according to the pdf and the 600m before that ar -10m so -1.7% thats 300m more than 1km but thats the splits the pdf lists, so it could pretty much equal out at 0% and i think that would representant the sprint better than a -1. putting +1 because you feel its important for the uphill sprint would be your designers choice totally fine.
