Robys picks for 21 year olds in March
-Carlos Gardel, Alk 55-74-79-56-56 36 reg. Very complete, has everything. Downhill and 56 sprint, if he trains that could be a real star. 1,813 the price. Very nice, Roby wants him!!
-Benoit Chellis, OL 56-74-51-60-66 49 reg. 2,263, very expensive, Roby doesn't want him! But he'll be Grandlac succesor, similar skills, but starts with 2 more in the mountain. Will be the leader, with his 66 sprint will be a typical OL parasite, will get his results, has the potential to become a better Grandlac basically.
-Gino Cutunio, Ariostea: 56-73-68-52-65 46 reg. No TT, so a bit cheaper, 2,065. Similar starting skills, but will become a different rider, will become the new Renti, 70+ with 70+ sprint. Note to self: Avoid Ari races if you want to win..
-Kjell Lindelöf, Kaju 55-73-77-47-45 46 Reg, 75,1 Pavé 2,295 Pavéstar for Flanders 11? Will be 34, should be no problem. If he goes up to 80 flat he'll have 80 pavé, mountain 70+ can be expected too. Will have to win solo with his sprint probably, but nice offensive hilly pavérider. The question, will he still be there in 13 months?
-Enzo Locatelli, LARAPANA, 53-73-56-47-66 46 reg. 73,3 pavé. Same thing, Flanders 11, less pavé, but winner sprint. Unknown team, new french team that has had good results, so get's mentioned here. Not sure he even realizes that he has one of the potential favourites for Flanders 11 in his team. So will see what happens with the training and the team, 2,138 the price, good I think.
-Didier Chatelain, ZL 73-54-77-48-46 51 reg. Good enough flat, good downhill, good reg. Nice rider, plus I like the name. Usually don't like ZLs climbers names..2,892 normal.
-Marijn Vandewalle,CCS 73-54-74-49-50 50 reg Same rider basically. 2,918, a bit more expensive, TT and Sprint slightly more. Both are close to the "standard" climber that Roby would buy if he doesn't look for something else (reg usually) for Roby that is 73-54-77-50-50
-Babacar Kolda, fresim 73-56-79-54-53 45 Reg 4 max skills, only sprint not, and sprint is close, only 3 under the max. Excellent. With his TT (that I expect will be trained) could become one of the favourites for the Vuelta, Andes and the rest of the winter. Tour at 25 already with chances too. 45 Reg enough, might need a good support rider though, but a young one is there already. 3,042 good price. The question is only if fresim will keep him long enough and if he does if he will be online enough.
Generally not that many young riders that I really like, saw no sprinter that I think is really really good either, some like Franconias too much Reg, others like Neutrogena not enough flat...
