Maybe should have put this in the bug thread too, because it seems to be a bug.
Right now the auctions seem to work like this:
Young riders: Down to 95%
Name geben in "adult" market 90%
Sold riders: Down to 85% in auction, further down later. (can't check that, somehow only 4 named riders on the market and all above 100%)
The problem is: In the manual:
In Division 1-5 riders are sold in an auction. The price of each rider starts at 1000% of his market value and then decreases continuosly, until it reaches the minimum (95% of market value). There are two ways to buy a rider in auction:
The original discussion when it was introduced says the same as the manual. 95% for "name geben".Riders that were sold by a team and appear on the Division 1-5 market are also sold in auctions. For these riders the minimum bid is 85%. When the rider's price has reached this limit, the rider stays on the market. The price then continues to decrease with different speed, depending on their age, down until 50%. Riders under 85% can be bought by "buy-now".

Clicking through that (but not all) and other threads couldn't find any indication that there was a change either. Plus a change wouldn't really have made sense either, going down to 90% for name geben really makes little sense. Other small changes in the market would make sense, but not this one. Have no memory about any discussion to make it 90% either (but of course even the Donkey's memory isn't perfect either)
So IMO we have the wrong system for name geben in the general 1-5 market. It should be down to 95%, not 90%. Should be corrected.
Edit: Changed the link to the original discussion, since it was the wrong link before. Not sure anybody wants to read through the whole thing, even if there are fun parts....
