Where's flat bonus?

Hello

Since some weeks, I don't understand why Jiri is so far away with 88 flat (and 84 pavé) especially at the race with 2% 1* finish, a guy like Topal from the monkey was 2 bike length in from of him at the start... where's the flat bonus at 450m? it looks like only sprint counts now...

Buh check it please :)

totally agree with you SM, real sprintvalue should be like this:
500m: 40% Sprint 60% Flat
450m: 45% Sprint 55% Flat
400m: 50% Sprint 50% Flat
350m: 60% Sprint 40% Flat
300m: 70% Sprint 30% Flat
250m: 80% Sprint 20% Flat
200m: 90% Sprint 10% Flat
150m: 100% Sprint

Ok, got an idea about the sprint system.

1) One of the biggest critisicm about the new sprint was "What happen between 1000m and 500m? nobody know, there's just a big pack for the sprint at 500m, it's ugly" (i let you search, there's a lot of posts from Roby ;)). So change the actuel starting sprint from 500m to 1000m, and change the tactic every 100m (time of sprint is still the same).
from 500,450,400,350,300,250,200,150,100,50
to 1000,900,800,700,600,500,400,300,200,100

2) Give a REAl chance to flat launcher, for the moment, they're useless...
The flat power (or berg/downhill if the road is not flat) could be even more importantthan sprint skill between 1000 and 500 meters. And more you're closer to the finish line, more the sprint skill is important.

For example (Flatskill %/Sprintskill%):
1000m=>900m (90/10)
900m=>800m (80/20)
800m=>700m (70/30)
700m=>600m (60/40)
600m=>500m (50/50)
500m=>400m (40/60)
400m=>300m (30/70)
300m=>200m (20/80)
200m=>100m (10/90)
100m=>finish (0/100)

We could see some new kind of rider like 80flat/75sprint who could be usefull in a sprinter team. You don't have the problem of "what happen between 1000m and 500m?". Flat rider become usefull again. And, to be honest, it's a litlle bit ridiculous to be able to change 9time your tactic in 500m... do we really need 3-4rider to launch our sprinter on 500m?

What do you (Buhmann and community, especially sprinter's teams) think about this post? Honestly, I only see good thinks about it.

Flat bonus was implemented but made some problems. That is the reason why I canceled this. Maybe anytime I will check again if I return the flat skill bonus without having the other problems.

it was not meant in a different way?
Buhmann wrote:For sprint teams the current system is not satisfying. Random is to important and "parasite team" are to strong. A team without any flat rider (and then without possibility to make tempo for a sprint) has also big chances to win a race, although a real sprinter team with a good sprinter and good flat riders are in the peloton.
Of course, changing the sprint system totally would be really nice. But because this would cost too much time at the moment, i (with talking with a reals sprint team ;) ) suggest the following small feature:

1. decrease the random

2. The best 2 or 3 helpers of your sprinter with the best flat skills bring the leader in position. Therefor he will get a bonus. So if your leader has 3 85er flat helpers, he will get an higher bonus as an sprinter with 3 70er flat riders of course.

Example in the log would be the following:

Sprinter A is bringing in position: Helper A, Helper B, Helper C
Sprinter B is bringing in position: Helper D, Helper E, Helper F
Sprinter C is bringing in position: Helper G, Helper H, Helper I
...
The the normal log like now. Internally the "bringing in position"-thing decides how high the bonus is.

So we have a little little position riding for the sprint. Internally it means, that flat riders give your leader a bonus for the sprint. Real sprinters will have bigger chances to win than now. And not every team can buy a sprinter and steal so many victories like now.

I hope it is clear (beacsue of my great english...).
