I found some „interesting“ things in the profile editor where you can choose the countries for the profile

Countries that Should be included:
1. Antigua and Barbuda
2. Benin
3. Dominica
4. Equatorialguinea
5. Grenada
6. Maldives
7. Marshall Islands
8. Monaco
9. Palestine? (It is a debate but I would include it)
10. St. Kitts and Nevis
11. St. Lucia
12. St. Vincent and the Grenadines
13. San Marino
14. São Tomé and Príncipe
15. Solomon Islands
16. Tonga
17. Vatican City

Non Countries that Shouldn’t be included:
1. Anguilla
2. Christmas Island
3. Curaçao
4. Europe? I dont know why this is here. Same with UNO
5. Hongkong
6. Kosovo? Might be a debate like Taiwan or Palestine
7. Puerto Rico
8. Taiwan? Might be a debate like Kosovo
9. UNO? Same with Europe
10. Yugoslavia for obvious reasons

Bugs:
1. Afghanistan with old flag
2. Brunei with Brazil Flag (Same Country Code)
3. Kyrgyzstan with old flag
4. Many flags not centered in profile (e.g. Kosovo)
5. Some flags got no emblem (e.g. Spain)
6. Mongolia with Madagascar flag
7. Montenegro with Mongolia flag
8. South Sudan with UNO flag
9. South Sudan not able to choose. Country Code too long
10. Suriname with UNO flag
11. Suriname not able to choose. Country Code too long
12. Syria still with old flag
13. USA is in front of Uganda, Ukraine, UAE, UK and Uruguay alphabetical, which makes no sense.

Wrong name:
1. Congo ( Republic of Congo)
2. Korea (North) (North Korea or Democratic Republic of Korea)
3. Korea (South) (South Korea or Republic of Korea)
4. Macedonia (North Macedonia)
5. RD Congo (Democratic Republic of the Congo or DR Congo)
6. Swaziland (Eswatini) (Swaziland is another name but it is not right)

Christmas Island is included only for our yearly Christmas eve race, the Christmas Island GP. The flag then was simply a christmas tree. As you can see in the calendar 2024. It seems now to have changed in the editor to the actual flag of the Christmas Island, which of course then is useless.

Hongkong? Included ok. Looking at the ATP (Tennis) page, they list stuff in HK under the HK flag. I suppose it's the same for other international sports events there, but I don't really know any other international events there...

For me the criteria to be included is, that it is an independent nation recognised by most of the world. There is where Kosovo, Palestine and Taiwan start to be controversial, because these are the 3 partially recognised nations with the most countries recognising it. Should we go after german rules as this server probably is in Germany? That would mean, we only had Kosovo as a nation. Should we go after the UN. It is hard. For me all of these three should be here, but you have to decide that. Many non-countries I named for example Anguilla aren’t recognised by any nation and don’t even try to be independent.

I didn’t knew Christmas Island was used for a Christmas GP. In my opinion you could also use Finland for that but as Christmas Island GP seems traditional here, not deleting it makes sense.

With the Europe example I got some issues as it would just make more sense to also have one for any other continent. (Maybe even Antarctica) Then we wouldn’t need UNO.

Or we use UNO for any continent.

Only one thingt ot add: Kosovo is not that controversial anymore. Anyway, there are still a lot of countries not recognicing it as a sovereign country, due to different reasons. For more information, there's a good Wikipedia Article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internati ... _of_Kosovo.

It's not about riders, it's about flags for the race's profiles

European Championships can also get the Flag of the country we actually participate no? As we do it for World championships and Olympia.

Just noticed, when you use Honduras, even though there is no error, no flag shows up.
Lesotho, Malawi and Mauritania show the old flag in profile even though the right one is in the editor. The problem for Montenegro is, that it got the wrong country code (So it shows the right flag in the profile. I just realised that.) But for Brunei and Mongolia this doesn’t work.

PS. @ I am not getting it how I use PM. So could anyone else take some time to send the flags to Gipfel?

Something technical here:
- the flags in the calendar are the Unicode flags (unless you use an old browser / OS that we marked as not supporting Unicode), so whatever exists there is shown
- the flags in the profile picture are the actual images Buhmann has been using since the beginning
- Changing the profile flags to Unicode is unfortunately not possible, as the image library doesn't support them

I already thought it is something like that
