Sounds like the problem is entirely out of Alk's hands, might just be a small issue on the provider side or a bigger one, noone knows

The game / provider was pretty off from 19:42 until 20:31, nothing we had any control over.

Race results from the 18h and 20h will stand? Some people haven't logged back in for those...

18h looks mostly fine, the outcome would not be different without the bug. For both races all other solutions would be worse. Maybe give the 20h off-teams their money back.

I was (the only one with WhiteRed it seems) not able to stay around for ages and be here when the race starts again. I had to leave at 20h15. That's why I chose the 18h time to ride.
My result would have been better/different if I was able to be online here.
I don't ask for compensation here, as it's not easy to calculate even if I feel that I lost a bit when others did not.
But in such situation, would it be possible to make an exception to sitting in a one day race ?
If it was allowed, I 'd have been probably able to find someone last second before I leave at 20h15 (30' between the bug and when I leave). That would make sense to allow sitting in situations like this as it's exceptionnal and change the equity/face of the race as some can stay around for hours and others not.
It's been the third time in the last months that I miss a chance to win due to a bug / race being delayed.
My result would have been better/different if I was able to be online here.

According to the log, the game skipped the execution at 00:01, but only for one minute. The night before this didn't happen, so nothing to worry about, server just took a quick coffee break
