A new team is joining Division 7 and the cycling universe. Nike has now started a new project in its sport business. Surprisingly, this time it is cycling, which was neglected most times due to bad reputation about doping. This pleasant turn in Nike Owner Parkers mind is owing to new cycling manager of Nike Youth and former cycling professional Timothy Brander(GER). Brander is an eminently respectable man who knows exactly what he is doing in cycling business.
“Timothy is treating this team as if it is his own child. It is absolutely amazing how he speaks with our staff, cyclists and sponsors. He knows exactly what he is doing and his effort and experience are essential to build a long term successful team.” – Performance Manager Matthew Fisher(USA).
Help from Nike seems essential too, so that Nike Germany is also one of the sponsors of this new equipe. Therefore headquarters of NikeYouth will be in Germany and USA, as a sign of cooperation and importance of the German Nike branch.
“I’m really happy to be given a chance like this. General Manager of a cycling team, sponsored by a big name like Nike and a cooperation between my two origins, Germany and USA. Could it be any better?” asked an ecstatic Timothy Brander during team presentation.
Of course NikeYouth need to go the same hard way until success but with this effort and knowledge it will be interesting to track their way to success.
We are finishing this article with words spoken by directeur sportif Pablo Arraya Montes Vivaldo (Costa Rica) relating to the team roster: “In a long-term view we want to build a young, admirable team which is balanced and successful. We can’t build it in 5 days, it will take time to render more precisely and buy a rider here, train him like this, sell another one. Rome wasn’t build in 5 days, or how do you English people say it? So we started with experienced riders, so we can establish this team in higher division to gain attention and interest of young riders. We are proud of our riders and we think we took a good choice to start with them!”
