Wind

Hi,
I was wondering if the wind is strong enough from the side for example, will the group spilt and if not could this be possible as it would be far more realistic eg 2009 tour de france where contador lost 40sec to lance. It would be better for GC riders with strong helpers who would make it into the front echelon and GC riders with weaker helpers wouldn't and so on. Opinions anybody?

Discussed many times here at RSF. The main problem: It is very hard to implement as we don't have any positioning in the peloton right now, which is crucial when there is a split due to hard wind from the side.
Here the link of the former discussion, unfortunately the thread is in the German part of the forum and therefore the discussion was held in German:

as FL said, its on the "to do" list, but it needs creative ideas how to handle the position fights

Like on the sprints with helping?
Just with tempo then and we need another dropdown menu option like "place in front of the field".
e.g.
Rider A Helps Rider B
Rider A has "place in front of the field" and therefore pulls Rider B aswell into front. More riders "place in front" = more fight = more energy loose(depending on your rider skills).
If you have 2 Riders helping and 1 is "PiF" he looses more energy than the second rider who helps. since you got 2 riders to help your captain to loose less etc.
if both pull in front both will loose more energy than by just helping but lee if only one pulls etc...

Two problems: complicated to implement and maybe too complicated for the users. So donĀ“t sure when it will be integrated.
