too much crono on market

Post by auxilium torino » Tue Feb 14, 2012 4:12 am

Maye is only my impression, but i think we have too much young riders with crono value on market.

i don't mean simple cronoman(specialist), but with this value from 57/58 to 70, value that is only good to increase the price, without a really chance to win everything.

from more time speak roby about a little less lohn for riders with crono value, maybe should only reduce the number of riders with 55 to 70...

otherway, we will have ever the market full of very good helper that will be not buyed, while the crono value is too big.

maybe look short at market, and you can controll yourself :S

There are a lot of too expensive riders around, crono or sprinter with big reg, if they are not needed they will not be bought, who cares, but sometimes its not to bad to have 2-3 60TT riders. Had such guys in the past fot TTT. So whats the problem. they dont annoy anybody

The question is not, if there are too many TT riders on market, the questionis, are there too few without high TT skills?

I dont think there is too many or too few of anything. People will eventually buy the best they can find. Instea of the idealistic topskill. Liberalism!

I think the problem is when the stupid noobs buy one team with 5 shit cronoman and 0 help just for win the TTT. If this can be avoid should be cool, maybe a new limit for cronoman <70

so what? Why shouldnt they be able to buy 6 68TT guys? its also allowed to have 9 65-70 riders. They are no real leaders and why shouldnt they win such races whith those guys? Whats next? Restriction to have more than 3 88flat riders? I mean here we often have big teams for pavé races where unspecialised teams hardly have any chance to compete with.

are 68 really "cronomen"? like calling 65 mountain riders climbers! There is a limit but it concerns only high skill cronomen

all the team i see with 5 cronoman are all with 72 - 75 TT and ok they don't win the tour but they take points money from the stage, and take money and points at the end of the tour, i think there is not a real team with 5 cronomans. I rode the last Tour de france with one team who had 4 70 and 1 80 and for 10 days he had the yellow shirt! was a very shame
