I don't think downhill should be mor expensive since it is only secondary, but it should truly be more selective.

I think the downhill skills is very (too?) important in RSF at the moment. Do we really want make it more important than now?

I have the same opinion like buhmann. Though it's not selective it's very important. But i also like these 75-80-50 sausages because they are still good and useful, with more elective downhill they wouldn't and you must buy a youngrider with 70+ downhill...wouldnt like that...

At moment is downhill not very important...

if you make downhill more important, perhaps there should be less riders with 50 downhill, most riders should be average (60-65 ?)

90% of the JTM are Basso's that are scared of downhill. Which obviously is not very realistic. That's an important reason for why the downhill is important.

With a 70-80-50 you don't even need to try to launch an attack at a hill. You're definitely caught back at the descent. You are lost without at least a medium downhill skill.

Basso ask to simoni help for the downhill and after he attack in the successive hill..So downhills are very important thing in realcycling and not only whit heavy rain

The 50 downhiller can't follow an attack of an 80 downhiller in RSF. Regardless of if it rains or not.

I think that a in real race give more downhill with a big split of the group,also without rain...i think that at -10 and more, downhill can be a little bit selective...

If you just pay a little, only a little attention of the downhill value of the riders you buy, you will nearly never face problems with following somebody on a downhill. But if you are not patient enough or want to save that money, it is ok that you have to live with some problems (and the cost for it are not giant, but quite notable, especially in the salary of flat riders).

Looking to reality, downhill is not very selective. Only in a very few cases riders get away in important situations, so you can assume they would have wanted to follow but couldn't. Last year it happend once in 3 GT's (Nibali from Monte Grappa).

But the real problem is that the selectivity of downhills does only depend a little bit on the steepness. The important factors are the turns and the road conditions. You can have 10% of descent where the weekest downhill rider can follow with easy because of a wide rode with only slight turns. In opposite, you can have 5% descents with very narrow roads with bad asphalt where attacks may be possible if there are big differences in downhill skill. But even considering that, think about the Poggio downhill? Does there ever happen an attack with at least some success? I can't remember. So I really don't think that this should get more selective.
