I think the split into two groups should happen when there are 15+teams inscribed. 7-8 teams for a race feels like normal C4F nowdays, but 15+ is too much, too chaotic, not rewarding enough. Increases the sucker mentality because it's hard to deal with so many teams as a good willing team that want to ride for little chances.

Target should always be 10+ per race.

If it cannot be reached, either the game or the calendar are not managed well :)

We just got used to those undercrowded race editions. 10 Teams was shocking little back in the days, now seems a lot :lol: sweet spot is 15-16 teams.

Back in the days, "sucking" wasn't as extraordinary as it is now. Dealing with 9 teams is annoying enough already now.

But it's also about the money and points...anything more than 10 becomes unfair in a positive/negative way..

In big fields the cooperation usually increases as well, not in your evening fields where the concentration of suckers is very high :lol:
But it is also currently an issue of bad times, there are races with 20 teams and the next edition has 4, not balanced in terms of times.

Quality over quantity.

You seems to be afraid from a 10 players fields and prefere 15 ones but the major problem for huge fields is that there are some new players that MUST test the game so fuck up everything than quit the game because is impossible for them to compete.

Just add bots that can play with beginners in cat 2 races and make expert players play each others.

Every game does this, you need to learn mechanics to have fun. And you can't have fun if you have to learn the mechanics against Alkword, Donkey, Hansa etc that already knows how game works.

And from the other side, expert players can have better tactics with no one that make red tempo just randomly . So just make bots (also stupid or passive ones with no other actions than attack if group is full or sprint at end game)

Maybe ok do bots only for 1 day stages and not for tours. But as you can see a lot of players come, try to play, kills 2-3 races and their team, quit.
