Switch Starting Time

Post by flockmastoR » Tue Feb 17, 2026 9:50 am

Maybe unimportant little feature request. But I would be very happy to just switch my inscription from one starting time to another starting time. Means, all riders and start numbers are kept the same. Maybe others would like to have such a feature as well.

to make it even easier for the hopper teams ... last second in and switch.
NO, if they want to do so they have to show some effort!

It could simply be disabled for the last X minutes. Technically, it's pretty easy to implement.

Yeah that would be nice. For me it is mainly relevant until the deadline of the first planned race. If I figured out I cannot make it, I just want to move to the next potential starting time. Disable this feature for the last 10 minutes of inscription or so might do it. Still leaves enough time to regularly inscribe.

Yes the hopper teams are the problem that came into mind. If that can be denied its a good feature

Until XX:30
"allow moving inscription to other race edition with one click (until 30min before the start)"

Since teams are now wildly switching around with the function, I would like an option to automatically deactivate my inscription if more than 22 teams are signed up. Otherwise it's ultra stressful to need to check at XX:31 how many teams have used the "switch starting time" button.
My fellow cyclingfreaks: ask not what the game can do for you - ask what you can do for the game.

And why would you do that? And if it's implemented, if everybody has it and uses it, will the race be cancelled in a situation with more than 22 teams signed up? :)
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

With the curennt system, I don't have any interest riding a monument or even a normal classic in field 2, so I'd rather cancel my inscription in that case (even more so if there is a chance to ride in field 1 at a later edition).

For your second question, if all teams activate this feature, the inscriptions should be cancelled from bottom to top and the 22 best ranked teams can simply stay.

But having to check 14.31 and consider cancelling 14.32 if you are on field 2 shouldn't be necessary just because lots of teams are switching into the race at 14.30...

You have 3:30min time for thinking, from XX:30:00 (switching disabled) until XX:33:30 (race starts)

Would like to have it locked earlier. for teams that want to switch last moment they should do it by hand.
