no topic for this hour (10h) ?
So, here :D

I'll try to do my first Giro on the morning (that's not my favorite hour, but I want to try !)

So, the team :

The essentials riders :

Captains :
Timothée Lhotellerie, the climber
Arturo Vencho, the classic rider
Ulises Arguello, the old sprinter

Helpers :
Julien Vican, the young french guy
Horacio Sasille, good flat rider
Bae JiJoon, the asian helper

The others potentiel riders :

Leaders :
Paulo Vuarte, ITTMan : the first week for him ?
Gabriel Grandlac, the actual legend of the group !
Benoit Chellis, the new Grandlac !

Helpers :
CiezaDeLeon, can be useful for Ulises
Bastien Desglands, an other young french helper
Jokic Bolstjan, a good helper
Julio ValejoLlosa, the perfect helper, a bit expansive

450-520k/race maybe ...

They won't go on the Giro 2010 : DelPozo, Cucharro, Ikasis, Laflèche.

Werde wohl auch hier Starten.

Team wird zu 90prozent so aussehen.

Kapitän : Thiago Branco 78-82-64-59-60 42reg

Edelhelfer1: Andris Santera 76-81-50-56-51 50reg
Edelhelfer2:Lugorzsch Sibieski 82-64-79-48-53 47reg
Edelhelfer3:Fausto Bartali 71-80-77-48-49 39reg

Helfer und außreißer.
1: Marcélo daSilvaJunior 63-82-52-46-46 49reg
2:Tonton TriKusuma 59-84-79-60-44 36reg
3:Roberto Petrarca 48-73-61-73-49 44reg
4:Pablo Holtby 53-68-50-65-48 37reg
5:Karl Schneekoppe 47-57-57-64-45 43reg

"Gehalt wird scheiß teuer" --> The team will be damn expensive. Which I seriously believe as there are not only the great classic riders, but also some good TT riders, which will make it interesting. If Branco gains some time in the TTT he might get dangerous.
I will by the way also start in the morning with a team around Rivera and maybe also Trueba. Some positions are still open, but the team will be presented this week.

ok, no problem. It's possible to understand you, so it's ok. When you write something in german here, you can do one or two sentences in english to summary that for example.

;)

There will always be someone to translate the important parts.

No worries. I am also expecting substantial losses, however with less than 600k. Still expecting my transfer tax to be going down after the Giro :D

You mean, i should ride with them and pay 5 mill units for it. :geek:
But i'd like to, specially if the Tour (de France) is made for Leupolds again...

Andree Schleck 85-63-68-48-51

Pipo Boreyko 69-82-75-59-55
Tim Schieber 50-61-55-72-43
Henrik Schwenk 50-61-59-70-45
Hans Pappler 49-59-50-71-56
Jochen Kreuzer 43-80-56-63-54

Most likely i will also start here. Goals (or better wishes ;-) ) are seven days yellow, perhaps two stages and of course white.
Costs are 526.317 but should be worth the fun :D

Ulises Arguello is sick

The old sprinter of OLcycle has an angina. He's sad, but he won't start the Giro.

OLcycle list :

Timothée Lhotellerie
Arturo Vencho
Benoit Chellis
Zelambo Cucharro
Bastien Desglands
Cieza DeLeon
Bae JiJoon
Julien Vican
Paulo Vuarte

473.674/day

Cucharro is the surprise, prefer than Sasille. Desglands on, because Arguello off.

So, looks like an interesting field now. I still hope that not too many teams are still coming and pushing me to field 2 :?

Team Alkworld will show up with the following team:
Image Diego Rivera 85-53-75-66, captain, will soon paint the team jerseys
Image Manuel Belgrano 86-61-77, Rivera's shadow, hopes not to make too much tempo
Image Miguel Hidalgo 73-77-50, bit scared of downhill passages
Image Emilano Zapata 72-79-73, reliable classic, might be busy in the final week
Image Paulo Coelho 66-83-80, Trueba's engine, writing a book, if his boss doesn't come
Image Getulio Vargas 61-82-77, 65 reg, riding and riding and riding
Image Carlos Gardel 60-82-79, another one of Trueba's now jobless helpers
Image Sylvain Chavane 54-82-72-73, 62 reg, the trottel will have to work a lot
Image Pancho Villa 48-86, 68 TT, only one important stage for him
Salary: 577k
Riders to be sold after Giro: Jara, Chavane, Bolivar, Buarque, no problem ;)

As Trueba is not coming (95%) the one only goal is the pink jersey on the last stage, maybe some stage victories in the beginning.

Hard to say in advance, how much those really steep mountains, esp. Zoncolan with up to 16% will matter. I would see Rivera a bit higher in your list together with McFadden, mostly because of the TTT (where McFadden and Rivera should have the best teams of the favourites) and because Rivera being the only of the favourites with a strong climber on his side. The big question mark seems to be Saturday's stage with the long 3* pave parts in the end. McFadden is the weakest pave rider in the whole field and therefore most likely to be siebed behind other climbers. I can't really estimate how much time could be lost on that stage, but it's certainly possible to lose some time there. On the other hand McFadden might gain some time attacking with his never ending energy (top 4 riders with all around 60 reg or more). Another big unknown factor are the bonifications at the end of the stages, as there are 20'' for each stage winner except at the TTs. I am still hoping for the outsiders for pink to win the stages :D

Rivera is No. 1 favorite.
