Nice first day, already some real action due to the complete lack of sprinters with good teams or experience. I'm still thinking about what this means now for the GC. Generally I see three obvious favorites: Brian Ferguson, Frida Kahlo and Martijn Schoenmakers. Frida, the worst of the three in the TT, the best in the mountains, Brian the best in TT and the worst in the mountains and Martijn is in the middle. Luckily the TT is not flat, which might be a little advantage for Frida. In a flat TT, Brian would gain 6s/km on Martijn and 8s/km on Frida, in this it could be a lot less, but hard to say how much exactly. I'm still expecting to lose at least two minutes on Brian and maybe 30s on Martijn, all assuming that each of them has P-N form.
But let's first see, what's coming out of tomorrow's chaos

Back to topic: Team Alkworld is continuing the tour in the old design. Frida likes the pink jersey more than the yellow one. Switching the design during the race is also out of question, as Frida changing her jersey during the race might cause traffic jams ... or maybe I will use that as a strategy ...

Heute kam es, wie es kommen musste ... Brian als nominell bester GK-Fahrer unterliegt der geballten Bergmacht von Alki und mir.

Jetzt heißt wohl Martijn/Ernesto vs. Frida vs. Darius (als Außenseiter)

Ich gehe von aus, dass Frida wohl sich das GK sichern wird ... der holt noch mehr Bonussekunden als Martijn und ist Vidal im EZF überlegen .... aber ok, bin auch momentan ein wenig kreativlos gegen Frida ... aber gekämpft wird bis zum Sonntag

Der Tag ... voll im Eimer .... eine meiner schwächsten Leistungen im Jahr 2011 ... anders will ich es nicht nennen.

Der letzten Berg als Hügel abgetan ... total falsch eingeschätzt .... kämpfen bei Vidal noch aus .... dachte es sei aktiv ... aber war es nicht ... Martijn kassiert mächtiger als erwartet, dachte irgendwann kämpft er auch mal, aber nicht an einen einzigem KM gekämpft (selbst am 7er nicht) ... ok, wohl die form

Nun Frida unantastbar ... ich bin auch ahnungslos wie ich das noch gefährden kann ... selbst der zweite GK Platz gefährdet, da Darius noch gut dabei ist ... mal abwarten, ob ich bis Samstag oder Sonntag noch auf eine Idee komme, bin aber aktuell nocht selbst von mir genervt ^^

Frida arbeitet offensichtlich mit den Waffen einer Frau. Vidal scheint einfach das häufigste Opfer zu (wie schon am ersten Tag). Und Vidal hätte nicht absteigen sollen, um Blumen für Frida zu pflücken
