thought exactly the same...

And why the hack do we have to know the team stats in a race thread anyway?!

If you want to show team stats, Allagen, then please Giro team stats. Like: how many times participated, stage wins, mountain jersey, ciclamino, overall GC win, etc. pipapo...

Edith is furious!!! Please write Team FL right.. The L ist big!

Fl, the fans want to see all facts about the teams! they love stats! so they get stats!
No, you love the stats. Irrelevant stats. Fans want to have useful facts. They want to have stories about riders (your riders), about the preparation for the Giro, and: Giro stats.

Edith says, there will be a big problem if you keep writing Fl instead of FL...
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

you better get used saying sorry :D

first, clean up the classic win mess... For Team FL, it's 9, accoring to your counting system (7 wins and 4 "half" wins, as you call it...)

i do not care about the rsf-defintion, i only count the big cat. single stages like la doyenne, l´enfer du nord, vlaanderens moiste, torino - san remo, lombardia, amstel gold, deinze wevelgem, etc.

but now, i want to see the giro stats of every team!

The Giroteam:

The majority of the starters arrived in Torino today, 2 others plus the 3 replacements will arrive tomorrow from Bulgaria.
The staff is the same as last year, only a small change, now the Ape is in charge, not Robert Walrus Sheep Klebt anymore. The rest as mentioned the same.

The 9 riders that will start:

1 Omar Fahrny: It's an honour to start with the Nr 1! I know it's just the alphabet, I'm before Urganov. But too bad I won't get the real nr 1, only the 1 in the team. Of course the goal is to defend the Giro win. Urganov or me? We will both be protected, but the ape said it's 75-25% that I will be the leader of the team, and hopefully the winner of the Giro.

2 Shamshi Urganov Training is training, races are races. And I've always shown I can be counted upon in the races. If Fahrnys chances are better than mine, I'll work for him. But don't be surprised if I turn out to be stronger than him. And I think the one of us who will be leader has his chances to win the Giro too. A lot can happen in these 3 weeks.

3 Pramoedya Haryono: Without Conti I will have the chance to ride for myself on some stages. But I will still be a support rider of course, Fahrny and Urganov are here to win the Giro. My job will mostly be to stay with them as long as possible in the middle mountain stages.

4 Saburo Mori: I hope to reach Milano, yes.. but that's not the most important, the most important will be to support our leaders. I recover well, I'm not tired easily, so I will have to work a lot in the first 2 weeks I guess. Without Conti will be different than usual for me, yes. Attacks, possibly, it will depend on how fit I stay.

5 Qian Baoyu My last big race. I wasn't here last year, but hope that we can repeat the success. Stages... there are lots of stages that fit a rider like me, but my first job will be too look after Fahrny and Urganov. Too bad Septimiu isn't here, we were a good duo. He showed that he still is there with his win the other day, but the Ape decided against bringing him finally. I hope it won't turn out to be a mistake.

6 Bakhtiyar Sagyrbayuly No Conti, but that will give me the possibility to try for some stages myself maybe. We'll see. But first and foremost I'm here to help the leaders. Not to ride for myself, it's not really a course that fits me anyway.

7 Caius Todea A dream come true! Giro in my first season. The team will count on me a lot in the TTT, I'm aware that that's what gave me the spot in the team. I won't disappoint. The rest will be a learning experience, learning for 2012 when I'll have a job similar to that of Qian this year.

8 Osamu Uchigasaki I'll be the co-leader for the middle mountain stages. It's really one of my first chances to show what I can do in a big race, until now in most cases I was behind Septimiu and Qian. I think I won't disappoint.

9 Wei Dehuai With Todea I will have to minimize the time loss in the TTT. I hope we can surprise some people. Then... I'll have to work a lot, I'll have to cover the downhill weakness of many of the team, both in the middle mountain stages as well as in the HC stages, to stay in the race. Don't think I'll have many opportunities to ride for myself.

That's the 9 starters. Just in case the 3 replacements will join the team in Torino too, or already have.

S. Berlogea: Of course I'm disappointed. My second Giro would have been nice, I still feel ok. But ok, it's the apes decision, he preferred having some flat power and Mori. That's life. The future? I'll probably retire before the end of the month. Nothing more for me to do, the Giro was the goal, I won't be there.

F. Montandon: Hoped to get the spot even without Conti. I'm more complete then Bakthiyar in certain respects, and I recover better too. But finally the ape wanted to have somebody with the power of Bakthiyar, so I have to accept that. I think the team is strong, yes. I'm staying here till the TTT, then going to the famous team training in Romania. Heard lots about it, actually kind of looking forward to it too.

Durchschnittsabfahrtswert: 74
Durchschnittszeitfahrwert: 53,1

Durchschnittsgehalt: 53.659

Stefan Nipp: Ich bin schon total aufgeregt.

Lutz Putz: I´m proud to be in the Team. Riding the Giro is like a dream come true. It´s amazing. Our Team is very young, but Nipp is a really strong rider. I know, he is 23 years young, but he is able to ride like a real hero! Hopefully he will win the young jersey!

Martin Schmalzbrot: Also dat is ja ma ne geile Sache ey, wir raddeln den Giro da! Heftige Scheiße, dat wird geil! Hoffe ick muss net so viel malochen, kehne lust druff!

Willi Wollschläger: Well you know me. I like difficult races. 350 km stage? No problem for me. i hope we will ride the giro in 7 days, 3 stages each day! I like that. I do not need any sleep, i´m allways fit.

Uku Bärengrub: I´m only 21 years old but the manager said i´m good enough to ride the giro. last year i rode small amateur races in estland and now the giro. Oh my god! The atmosphere is great, a lot of young riders the team and the german guys like to drink much alcohol, yeahhh. It´s party time everyday! Yiihhhhaaa.

Atilla Kiss: Giro? Damn, i didn´t know that! i will ride the giro? Yeah baby yeah!

Franz Hose: Nun also ich nä...

Bodo Sackhaar: ...hey, psssst! Sei einfach ruhig ja?

Franz Hose: Aber...

Booor nervig ey!

NO italians, no Berlogea... I'm a bit depressed too actually. Maybe kick Mori and bring Berlo? But I need reg.. And at 36 Berlo will just lose and lose his skills. 73 still ok, 75 not really, downhill ok again.

And the owl, we're the past, your the future :D

And since I have no intention of making this a feel good Giro, let's start some more fights... just re read the 2010 thread... ehm Wizard, you still haven't told me where I misused Buonarroti and where I could have attacked Ticos before the last days

But ok, if Elb, who was inscribed today starts here too, I won't need you. But just for safety, some provocation can't hurt.

And here it comes, the great Team FL Giro presentation:

With the number 1, the leader, the hero, the climber, Il lordo: Luigi *Mastrokirchendingens* Maaaastrangeloooooo!!! The captain, ready for the mountains, fearing Pavé but kicking everybody else in their holy asses.

With the number 2, the man who dies for caviar and champagne, upper east side's vicious super hero: Chuck Baaaaaassss!!! Nobody can reach his level of... well... Ass kickin! yeah!

With the number 3, the vigilant, the protective, the fearless: Fred Cooooooloooooon!!! The britsh gentleman himself who does not kick asses for real!

With the number 4, the ladies favorite, Mr. classic himself, everybody's darling: Pedro "El Chupo" Gaaarrrridooooo!!! Falke will hate him. He only kicks female asses.

With the number 5, the French handyman, Hannes Büchel's successor: Frantz "the Frantzoos" Granvoooooorkaaaaa!!! Nobody does it like he does: Kicking asses.

With the number 6, the Bavarian, the fussy, the drunk: Tim "Jim" Hammmmmmberger!!! *burp* He always misses the asses with his kick.

With the number 7, the ensign, Mr. shut the fuck up, the original: Wesley Liiiiiiiiii(without the e)chtenkiiiiiiiesel!!! The captain's worst nightmare, his most important helper, the teams spirit, not really kicking somebody else in his ass...

With the number 8, the dangerous, Mr. Stamina, Mr. Nomen est Omen (That's what she said!): Tony Looooooooongooooo!!! Mastrangelos number 1 (Sorry Wesley), Nr. 2 of the Italian FL-combo, ready for Pasta and Pizza, always hungry for more... kicking asses

With the number 9, the parasite, the Swiss bastard, the laziest man on earth: Cédric, SchmaaroooootzzzzzZZZzzz... *huh?* Where is an ass?

There are no interviews with Team FL riders as they are to concerned about their mental preparation and the Team FL management is busy counting money. After there Giro, there will be non left perhaps.

Climbers:
- Luigi Mastrangelo (Team FL)
- Cesare Corvia (US Lecce)

Classics:
- Tony Longo (Team FL)

Sprinters:
- none... (Conti the coward)

I agree.

And since I will start without Italians: (Didn't realize it until yesterday too)

First day I demand -3 from everybody.

I of course will give -1 for no italians, -1 for no alphabet to the opponents too, +1 and +1 for Italians and alphabet. On the first day.

On the second day I will give -3 to everybody who didn't give me -3 on the first day. Starting without Italians for a team like me is simply unexcusable. And I'm really really thinking about Conti again. Even though it doesn't make much sense.

Wow, I expected the Italians always have their riders in world elite.. seems I need to buy some for next year.

Btw, the Lizard rider comments are here with the slightly changed line-up now..

No. 1, Eddy Eickendreyer: "Yes, I am very very excited to ride this Giro. Andrew and I were already doing a few tours and at Catalunya I showed I am able to reach top class by ending 2nd overall. Andrew and I will be co-leaders here, it is a 100% all on the win, no matter how we're gonna reach it.

No. 2, Andrew Stockdale: "This is what I am training for! I am thinking of riding all three-week-tours this year, and starting with a good result at the Giro would be quite nice already. I've seen this Fahrny guy already when I came here to Italy yesterday, and I think he has no chance."

No. 3, Tom van Amstel: "Without Clausen and Wollfinger this team still can win, that's what we showed with rank 3 at Amstel, yeah, right! Oh fuck, yes I'm gonna help Eddy and Andrew and I just want one little stage no one else is interested in... fine, we suck, great Franco, you ruined it for me!"

No. 4, Karim Boutannassimi: "I did not expect to ride here. I usually ride one day races, but I guess we had to take someone to fill the average in the hills since the team is by now focused on sprints, nevertheless we have two climbers. And those are the ones I'm gonna do all the job for during the next weeks."

No. 5, Jamal Jemomo: "I don't need no good training. I just rock the house. And the Giro will be my thing. I'm gonna go for a stage one day."

No. 6, Michael Murphy: "What my job is? I am fast. So either I will run away from someone or catch an escaper. Choices will be made when the time is right."

No. 7, Ernie Oysters: "This will be my tour. The manager told me I will have a very important role here. When possible I get to join a group, if not I will need to work almost every day. But I am fine with that, I like it. And maybe I can change the results in favour of Andrew und Eddy if the time comes."

No. 8, Vincent Soneau: "This is weird. I made a contract to ride 10kms for each sprint for Peter. Where is Peter? Not here? What else shall I do? Well, see me in the group, punk!"

No. 9, Barney Stinson: "This is gonna be legen... wait for it... DARY!"
