Shamshi Urganov (KAS), 27, 84-56-76-53-47, 53 Reg
John Watson (GBR), 27, 86-60-78-50-45, 48 Reg

Classic riders:

Tom van Amstel (NED), 30, 74-80-74-50-65, 35 Reg
Chuck Bass (USA), 31, 69-80-68-50-62, 38 Reg
Septimiu Berlogea (ITA), 36, 74-75-75-47-42, 40 Reg
Lars Björnby (DEN), 33, 75-77-73-60-55, 42 Reg
Valeri Bojinov (BUL), 32, 73-80-75-50-48, 44 Reg
Pedro Garrido (ESP), 33, 67-82-65-50-67, 41 Reg
Hans Peter Heuser (AUT), 29, 77-79-46-52-50, 39 Reg
Fabian Höhenflug (GER), 29, 72-80-79-75-61, 42 Reg
Tony Longo (ITA), 33, 71-79-68-50-53, 49 Reg
Goran Pandev (SRB), 32, 75-82-74-54-61, 36 Reg
Baoyu Qian (CHN), 34, 77-81-74-49-49, 37 Reg
Florent Rouquet (FRA), 26, 71-81-77-63-46, 49 Reg
Martin Schmalzbrot (GER), 29, 73-82-70-59-43, 48 Reg
Osamu Uchigasaki (JAP), 29, 72-76-52-46-64, 37 Reg
Vitali Volosjuk (BLR), 32, 73-83-63-51-66, 38 Reg
Kilian Wenger (SUI), 29, 73-81-77-51-55, 49 Reg

Since there is a poor amount of sprint stages I won't make a sprinter's table. The ciclamino will probably be a classic riders' or climbers' thing. Though here is a previous jersey table:

General classement:

***** Dodo Erdemann
*** Ange Girard, Erwin Schrödinger
* Andrew Stockdale, Omar Fahrny, Luigi Mastrangelo

Provisional analysis says Erdemann with extremely strong team in the mountains and will be also strong in the time trials. He is probably the one to beat. On the otherside we have Girard that has similar skills but is less strong, and then of course Schrödinger who is absolutely impossible to predict. He may win time on many stages and lose only little in the mountains and time trials. Then we have outsiders like Stockdale or Fahrny, both with a second climber, ergo podest is possible. Mastrangelo completes my list of outsiders so far.

Points' classement:

***** Erwin Schrödinger
*** Tom van Amstel, Goran Pandev, Vitali Volosjuk
* Many options

The points' classement is probably the mostly decided so far. Schrödinger can win classic aswell as mountain stages (if not too steep), so he will get several chances to end in the Top 3 and earn plenty of points. Pandev and van Amstel are the best allrounders, so I put them in to compete against Schrödinger. I also think the climbers have a chance, e.g. Mastrangelo or similar riders. Let's see!

Climbers' classement:

***** Dodo Erdemann, Luigi Mastrangelo
*** Erwin Schrödinger, Ange Girard
* The rest

I guess a climber can make it. Only daily breakaway riders might be able to compete.

Young riders' classement:

***** Omar Fahrny
*** Stefan Nipp
* Hugo Truuts

I am pretty sure Fahrny can take it.

you really think that nipp is able to get the white jersey? (3 stars) i think he will lose to much time at the pavestage and 81 is not good enough for the hard mountains. but okay, if he get 3 trainings and roby 0 (nipp needs more then luck), he is able, perhaps. but we will see. it will be not easy. especially without a seconds climber. roby still has a second climber. but no reg, ah it will be intersting.

by the way, we can create a new contest. who loses the most money during the giro? ;)

I dont like Bergwerk's transfer policy! Buying ane xtra leader instead of his "real" one... Selling good and worthy riders around their 30s... bah!

Oh, not this kind of debate ?

Oh, not this kind of debate ?

1.) Yes i buy an extra Leader ... If Watson gets the 88er hill i buy me a hillrider with 85er as a helper .... can't see no problem there.
One have luck that it happened with their own rider by training and i buy me one because i don't have so much luck ...
but the end is the really the same: both have a 88er Rider!
And for what else is a rider on the market? Only to buy him or?

2.) Which good and worthy riders i sell with 30 years? I only know one in the last 12 month without have a look (can be 2-3) ...
And if i sell 10 riders can't be your problem i think.

3.) If you are jealous and you want such a rider, i give you a tip: buy Untaani from the Market!

4.) At least: Do what you want, play your game ... and let me my peace P:

Hyde and Young is at least 2 good riders sold, right ?
And your new leader will stay only 2 or 3 months in the team...

Your riders have no personnality, how bad is that ! You have to love them, to protect them, to educate them, to feed them. Like a tamagotchi.

Well, first he has to make them win...
I predict huge disappointment for Bergwerk when Urganov and Fahrny fight for every second in Milano, to decide who gets first and who second in the 2011 Giro d'Italia.

But a bash Bergwerk topic, good.

I don't like his approach to make a break after the Giro. Like the Tour last year. No good, ride and lose (because I'm going to win) the Giro, then keep the team more or less intact and try again for TdS/Dauphiné, TdF. Build a team that has not only a short term future, but a longer term. Only 2-3 months for the leader, no problem, but I think it will be more like gone after the Giro for a big part of your team. You'll need money. Because I'm going to destroy all my rivals, crush them like the Tohoku region after a tsunami!! Mh, Tsunami Ape!

The beers are hopefully a part of the afternoon show, with an incredible overpaid team without any chances for nothing... ehm

1 Hugo Truuts - The lazy climber
2 Gabriel Heinze - Goes for stages
3 Lukas Hürlimann - Goes for stages
4 Benjamin Jäggi - Again a man for stage wins
5 Kazimir Sirotski - Stage winner for sure
6 Constantin Surucianu - Wants the black number
7 Veiko Vaima - Another lazy Estonian, youth jersey his big aim
8 Vitali Volosjuk - Is going to show you his red Wollsocks
9 Kilian Wenger - Brienzer or Schlungg? Elbows for the win!

477 tons. Much to lose, nothing to win!
