Tour do Sao Paulo 15h

Post by team fl » Sun Oct 14, 2012 2:17 pm

Team FL is riding in Brasil, although the tour name is rather funny. Either it's tour do brasil or volta ciclista são paulo. Anyway, as this is the only chance during October for Gaudenz to be active, we participate with the following line-up:

x1 Stéphane Antiga, still not a classic rider
x2 Kenny Banzer, still not dead
x3 Stefano Benni, still not at team Alkworld
x4 Henri Bienvenu, still not more than 82 flat
x5 Victor Fargas, still not got the clue in the book
x6 Niels Hörnö, still no finished with Jean's teeth
x7 Jean Ollé Ollé, still not finished with smiling
x8 Gaudenz Taverna, still not satisfied with his palmarès
x9 Walter Walch, still not... whatever.

Not many goals this time, only GC, white, green, red, team classement and at least 8 stage wins. Ah yes, and lose some money I guess...

I'm here at the start too ...

First time that the 4 Rolling Stones rocks in the same Race!

Hope it will be a tour for Mick Jagger ... long time, that he rides a race for me.
So very happy, that this tour comes along the way such suprisly.

6 Sprintstages i will give my best with Keith Richards ... but normaly no chance at all.

Watts and Wood are the helpers like in reallife .-)

And first Timetrial for our new timespecialist Mick Fleetwood and so his first points too.

Mick is THE favorite for the GC. Not really any races that could challenge him. And Keith's advantage against all others sprinters is, that he has a decent downhill skill while almost ever sprint stage ins in a downhill (-1 or -2)

Besides that, stage 1 was just a joke. 3 of the top 5 sprinters (Aux, portiolo, Alex Leopard) as well as bergwerk as the main tour favorite and with keith in a -2 finish were attacking at km 1. That's just a shame, no matter what. if you want to ride for the mountain jersey, don't bring your sprinter.

i will ride for sure for the classement ...

But my sprinter have really no chance ... perhaps with a 1% lucky punch or so !

And for the hillclassement i only see better sprinters like me in the points

sorry, the "you" was meant as the German "man", not you, bergwerk, directly ;)

And of course Keith is not the best sprinter, but yesterday he had chances in the -2 finish as no other sprinter better than him had more than 60 downhill. But Pro Tour was riding well, as he just hung on Aux. Should have done that too... At least Aux then rode for the sprint in the end. But portiolo f.e. was just doing nothing, even after the group was caught, as well as Alex Leopard. The poor guy was rastullah...

It's funny to watch at least.
Especially Aux... any comment that could be interpreted as criticism on his attacking has a cool "I DO WHAT I WANT LET ME RIDE BLA BLA" reaction. At least yesterday. The funny thing though is that he's the guy who hands out -3 (or -2 or -1) if OTHER guys with sprinters dare to attack..Gotta love that dude!

portiolo of course a special case too... but can't somebody just hijack his accound and buy him decent riders (with decent names if possible, since Aux in those cases let's every name pass, friends and stuff, you know) Doesn't have the riders to ride in the end, yeeeeeeeeees... buy decent ones or if you really want only bad riders, except the leaders... then work early.

Alex is a "I want everything" guy too of course... he loves mountain jerseys... saw that in Beijing. Lacks some experience, often attacks the group for nothing then, jsut wasting energy.

BW of course is a I want everything guy too. GC, sprints, where he is outsider and mountain jersey.

But anyway, with such a shitty profile, it's either x days all happy for sprint or riding crazily for stupid mountain jerseys... enjoy the crazyness, from october on the Gao express will not allow any escapes at all in the afternoon anymore.

Ah, my favorite though is still Aux. Yesterday angry at portiolo for following Aux. "I put in my best guys and you do nothing then follow me, grrr!" Ok, ok.but the real highlight was "amongst us we don't follow each other!" meaning amongst Italians, meaning fairness as Aux understands it, amongst friends you don't follow each other in the sprint. Forget your own best interests!

Have fun, I'm sure I'll have it watching.

ps I hope when you say little FL you mean your son/daughter, not your reproduction tool...
Kraftsystemrevision! Include the distance!
Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!
Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Of course I did not mean my reproduction tool, that obviously works 8-)

And the tour so far... well, what to say more than you did already. Today the same mess than yesterday, almost worse. At least with Celtic somebody else then the mentioned ones has won the stage, with a funny attack (resp. follwing it). Although I would have also liked to see rastullah win. But the attack was kind of stupid though. Perhpas even better like that than see another portiolo win or Aux, or Alex Leopard, or whoever. And luckily yellow changes tomorrow, most likely to rastullah - which would be deserved - or Team FL - which I would like the most. portiolo's actions so far were not really worth wearing it. Btw, Bienvenu in white! Weee!

GC is kind of sorted now, with Taverna in front. After a close beginning he distanced Johann Martin by 8 seconds and the rest by 20 and more seconds. Still, Mick Jagger is the main GC favorite, most probably catching Taverna on Saturday if nothing unexpected happens during the stages before.

It was a quite good feeling today not to see countless attacks for red from stage favorites. Unfortunately, I am pretty sure this will continue tomorrow. But Team FL is prepared. Now all this tour needs is a rastullah win. So far he could only win the hearts of the audience.

By doing the dumbest thing he could do yesterday? Attack instead of going for a sprint? Then it was either Friden vs Benni, Aux vs FL, or the way it ended with Celtic or another guy with more sprint following. Hearts of the audience? Pff! It's the collection of weird things that wins the hearts of the audience.

I could not believe it when I saw it. But well, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, or however this is used in English. :)

Today's stage will be interesting with the last km beeing a +4. Either good for an attack or for a sprinter with mountains. In both cases, bergwerk seems to have interests. Let's see what happens. I am sure there will be some great attacks again at the beginning of the stage, esp. today when the usual flat sprinters will all deny any chance for a stage win.

The +4 was good for an attack... by Benni. could have been the third victory in a row but together with bergwerk, we were too slow in the chase. Thus, it was a rider out of the group that won stage 5, Frieden from Aux, the most logical choice. He also got the red jersey for at least another day. In the GC nothing important changed: Still Taverna in yellow and Jagger in the pole position for the overal victory.

It's really the tour of fun and faults (and bw Unvermögen .-):

- the first days nearly everyone fights for a (shit) red yersey
- the day before yesterday my great fight for red (forgot to sprint)
- the total suprising Olesprint
- yesterday alex let his riders fall and makes a great present for aux redshirt and the stagewin
- yesterday i ride hard to catch the group for really nothing in the end
- 2 times rastullah wins the sprint, but there is a group infront.
... so what will happen today?
