Tour du Haut Var 15h

Post by Robyklebt » Fri Feb 17, 2012 6:36 pm

Brrrr...

Finally got the bill for my brillant team this month.... Ridiculous line up as usual in february, but while until now I was rewarded for it, fantastic results for the quality of the team, this time CC presented me with the hefty bill    He's not a nice guy!

But... I'm the moral winner anyway, who else.
CC could chose between 2 options, Zhasulan or the classics, he went for the classics. Shows the respect he has of my terrific abilities, he thinks he has better chances to beat the classics then Fahrny. Ok, maybe it's more his form suspicions... anyway, moral winner ape!

Hoped to survive today with help from others... usually happens:) was 99% clear CC was going to sieb at the climb to Gassin, to far to go only with the 2 top classics.. ape hoped enough other guys there, Mbak, Portugal mainly, who then would cover for their own climbers.. .and Fahrny :)They didn't, and where right I think.. Mbak in the back anyway... Even if they block, Zhasulan 88, with a block earlier he would have made tempo in the last km, and maybe lost 1" to the rest... and tomorrow he's still 88. If he doesn't block and Fahrny and co get away like they did, then Fahrny 87 vs 86-85, still outsiders, they get the same status in front, so..logic. Surprised at Austis winning again though, 71 in front, didn't expect that. And then CC didn't ride for Vino today, so didn't attack at the end, as I originally thought he would. But perfect race buy Quick, suspect tomorrow will be similar, Vino-Askarov show, probably with less luggage.. or the same amount of luggage... mmh, will see, not easy for CC tomorrow. Today perfect. Ah, almost... wrong sprint by CC, even when getting demolished I still criticize, yep. WHO was he following??? For the GC tomorrow the most dangerous guy is Félicien no? (or didn't see the sieb, were others stronger?) then follow him, cover the hardest opponent in the GC.

And just for SM I won't disclose my winnings (winnings?) today  Most expensive team in the race, and it's complete shit, I know, but I thought it would be cheaper than CC.... too many useless 60-80, yeah yeah. And Uchigasaki a better leader than helper. But still, 4 guys with over 70 mountains vs 2... and the guy with 2 is more expensive, pah, I hate RSF. Ruta del Sol I'll kick a few 60-80 and bring a cheaper line up.

Yep, stupid fault! Anyway. Gratz to be the moral winner of stage 1. Tomorrow will maybe be harder! :P

Moral winner and stage winner! Yihaa. My GC attack on CC failed miserably, as expected... but didn't have the riders for more either... too dead. Plus that damn Quick defended too well, never was in trouble. Hoped to steal him helpers for 80 km or so, but managed to do it for 20.. maybe 25, brrr. no chance. So concentrated on white, Ramirez didn't have to help Fahrny when the 2 were alone at times, like in the end, just both were happily rolling along. White, mostly because it's the only missing jersey this month, having all 4 in 4 different tours seemed kind of cool, now I can confirm that it is cool, hihi... so white. Tactic, block at the last km with Fahrny. Attack, he's probably one of the strongest, good chances to win, but no attack, block instead, then Ramirez follows the SM dude and sprints at 400... hope Ramirez stays, then unlikely that the SM guy follows me, so if he doesn't go early, I go and have chances... worked fantastically, the SM dude was dropped, so white was sure even before I saw the sprint, then the 3 attempted attacks blocked, cool, Ramirez 400, everybody else 50 or not at all, and he wins, second Fahrny, hihi. More luck than skill maybe, but still like it. And just for SM, +200k for the tour!
