Evening Giro
Falcor CC announces their lineup for the evening Giro!
To ride or not to ride. That was the question for the teams most legendary rider so far, Enno Oper. After a stage win in Milano Torino, a mountain jersey in Catalunya and a second place in the Fleche, Enno seemed ready once again to shine on the biggest stage! However, after internal struggles, with rumours going around that Opers contract will NOT get extended, the team has shocked many fans by announcing that Enno will not be riding the Giro. So who does make the team? Let's have a look:
x1 Michael Redrocks (23, Canada) - Ice Cold Mike will lead the fight for the GC and white jersey for the team. In his early career he's always had the protection of Enno in the biggest races, but now it's time to shine all on his own!
x2 Pierre Wolf (30, Germany) - The Swiss army knife hopes to only leave Michaels side to win a stage, or when Michael drops everyone else.
x3 Thibault Kerken (22, Belgium) - The young Belgian will get the chance to experience his first GT in his young career while also playing an important role in the hills and mountains.
x4 Magnus Jensen (22, Denmark) - Similar to Thibault, Jensen will be crucial for the team as soon as the roads start to go uphill.
x5 Michael Goris (31, Belgium) - The workhorse of the team will be our road captain until the climbs come.
x6 Jan Stevens (30, Belgium) - Another experienced helper who will guide Michael on the flat and downhill.
x7 Mehdi Deman (30, Belgium) - The "km 1" guy, ready to help until he falls off his bike!
x8 Jordan Henkey (23, Australia) - G'Day Henkey feels ready to guide the team on the flat, and more importantly to help Nikola win sprints.
x9 Nikola Kozomara (30, Serbia) - The Serbian Moneyman has his mind set on winning his first stage for the team in the Giro!

Re: Evening Giro
No Oper? Fire the manager!
Re: Evening Giro
After some serious backlash from sponsors and fans after the announcement, the team has decided to overturn its decision to leave Oper home. Oper will be taking the place of either Jan Stevens or Jordan Henkey in the lineup!

Switching moods faster than my wife ;D
Re: Evening Giro
We have to listen to the sponsors! The manager is just a weak-minded puppet!

very good! Oper is your easy-peasy Go-To-Guy
Re: Evening Giro
I will likely be here (21 h) with a small chance to switch to 18 h. The team is down to a 10-rider shortlist, so one will end up disappointed. The target is stages and green, seeing what the young classics can do, and some escaping if energy levels allow it.
Sophus Lee: Wants to win a couple of sprints and has an eye on green, has won a lot but not on the big stage, eager to change this
Thorvald Thiele: GC leader, but more interested in getting something out of the hilly stages
Anders Carrasco: lead-out for Sophus and maybe gets a chance in one of the hillier stages if the classics are sleeping
Marek Kac: helper or escapee for the hilly stages, a learning experience for the young rider
Adriaan Fokker: classics hunter, hopes for some training before and during the Giro to be a possible stage hunter
Myron Scholes: sprint launcher, first chance to play this role consistently in the team at one of the biggest stages
Lauri Vasca: sealing the deal on flat stages and maybe getting the licence to try something despite the low reg
Norbert Wiener: flat helper with enough reg, not just to close the sprint stages
Shankar Agharkar: senior road captain, has done the Giro before, seen everything in over 300 races, and is still a strong flat rider
Loup Verlet: team baby, up-and-coming flat rider

Re: Evening Giro
Most likely here, but possible to miss several stages. No idea if it will be a cheap or expensive team.

Re: Evening Giro
We are likely to start here too. Franc Pirc should have been our captain, but as he missed another mountain training and stucks on 83 mo we are not sure if we should keep him or save Money. Line up could be:
#1 Franc Pirc (24, Slovenia, 83-59-74) - the slovenian champ, our captain. The goal have been to wear white until the last Stage. (cause he's one day too old to win this
)
#2 Remco Thys (24, Belgium, 79-65-78) - the son of the great Phillipe Thys, legend of our Team.
#3 Adham Elgamal (27, Egypt, 71-81-64) - The Newcomer in the team and captain of hilly stages. He's a Lenny SnakeCycling production
#4 Lucas Leclercq (23, Belgium, 63-78-72) - our future classic Rider, here to learn from Adham
#5 Bob Iliev (31, Bulgaria, 50-77-50 84 sprint) - The bulgarian Moneysprinter
#6 Amadeus Pichler (26, Austria, 59-85-75), alround helper and escaper
#7 Marcel Vukovic (25, Slovenia, 51-85-58), the low reg flat guy
#8 & #9 unsure. actually we wanna bring Jula Mavric (63-71-79 with 75 sprint) but he also missed his mountain training again and we dont have the Team for him
#9 will be Maximilan Gruber, Peter Pavlin or Nic Bizjak - most likely Maximilan Gruber, cause he's young (22) with good reg, could be one for the escapes too.
With Pirc and Mavric we would end up with 500K, what is really expensive for a Team with a Mountain rider for max place 10 in the gc. without them we would be at 425k. not really decided yet

Re: Evening Giro
I might join with a 510k team to have some fun and afterwards I will sell riders. Problem will be the last week, as I will be mostly off.

It's Poke's Giro to lose! Assuming all 3 leaders ride, it will be a hard task for anyone in the field to beat him, let alone keep him from getting 3 riders in the top 10 or even top 5. Can Havel/Agostinho/Kuutti/Ortiz gain enough time in the high mountains? Can Garcia gain enough time in the TT's? Time to find out!

The fight for the Maglia Ciclamino is on and seems to be a three legged race between Lie, Kozomara, Bisdorff, Meister and the BS boys (if they ride). Or will Sukuna leave no crumbs and take the points jersey as well??

Braulio gets the nod here. It will be close in the mountains, but with his TT it seems hard for him to not hang on to the jersey.
