WC 2011

Post by team fl » Wed Sep 21, 2011 4:32 pm

Tony Martin on the way to gold in the ITT it seems...

Btw, FL's Stefan Küng 19th in the Junior's ITT! but riding for Switzerland this time... (he has both nationalities).
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

U23 like RSF

U23 race was today...
2 lap to finish lane: a little group try to escape, 6 riders in front, only one want not help, don't work (southafrica), i think at RSF tactic...
the Italian in escape is angry with the southafrican rider, and i see in my immagination, the "manager" of the other national teams that insult him... :?

but the best must coming ...

the escape is over, Nederland take the control, last round...a dutch rider try to escape, and, surprise, wich rider pull in peloton and kill the escape? :o
Yes, a dutchman! Noob!

Greipel would have won this, but he still doesn't know how to find the right position in a sprint...
but nevertheless Cav > Greipel...so the result is ok

the podium couldn't be better for my personal taste ;)

ok ok maybe Farrar on 3 and Greipel 4th....but i can't complain

Timing & Positioning. Goss jumped too late and Greipel was too far away. Cav got it right.
I have a feeling the Italians decided to settle for a sprint with two laps to go. On the last lap they tried to get to the front in full force (6-7 guys) before the tight right hander. They didn't quite make it, lost all their organisation and never found each other again. Poor showing. To rate the teams by their performance:

***** Great Britain
**** France, Australia
*** Germany, Belgium
** Italy, USA
* Spain, Netherlands
