Viviani is someone to watch out for this season. He is almost 21 years old, he has an impressive track background with several medals in scratch, omnium, madison and points race and at the same time he was always competitive when he was racing on the road. Last year was his first year with the pros, took a lucky win in Turkey and finished strong in the autumn. Has potential to become more than just a pure sprinter. 1989 seems a good year for the Italians, Viviani, Appollonio, Ulissi, Battaglin.
