Fatou wins Hokatate - Kimobetso
Durststrecke beendet

Today the contract with our big star: Hans Hugendubel ended and he retired. He has cult status in our team since he won a Giro stage. In every other race, Hans Hugendubel was the first one in tempo and thanks to his good regeneration he nearly rode every tour for us. A great thanks to the German. And Goodbye!!

New American talent
His name: Louis Auslander, he will be our cobble stone captain for the next year and a good helper for flat too. Welcome to the team.

The Big Hit in the Final Season!
Erwin Schrödinger wins Giro di Lombardia

It was the last chance for Erwin Schrödinger to win a classic after he missed La Doyenne, Amstel and Wallonie in April and after he got 2nd at Tre Vali and 3rd at Hamburg. And he did it!

It was an exciting race and our team had to work a lot. Team Wookie made it hard for us after the Madonna Ghisallo with his classic army, but the attack was missing. Early enough Fatou, as our last non leader, made the tempo. A group aroung Cholesky (Radunion) was formed before the mountain and brought Cholesky in the front group after the mountain, but he was weakened enough that Erwin Schrödinger could win from his backwheel the final sprint. Congratulation Erwin Schrödinger - first Mathematician winning a Monument

Damn Schrödinger is impressive, another candidate for rider of the year vote... brrr, will not know what 5 riders to chose at all this year. Schrödinger, 21 wins, Lombardia, plus other important stuff.. grrrr. Anyway, highly unfair, couldn't you have let Gamov the Andes in 09 if you want to win everything nonstop with Schrödinger now? But who says he's the first mathematician to win a monument? How do you know that no other rider that won a monument was a mathematician before, eh?

Fabi Rondeau retires

Good luck in the Future, FABI RONDEAU

2nd place at Züri-Metzgete
Schrödinger just centimeters away from winning RSF classic

It was a great race final by the team stevens and the 3 remaining riders in front had to decide the race in a final sprint. Schrödinger (in bad form) just got 2nd but we are really happy with the final result but we hope the season of 2nd places after Lombardia ends soon, Schrödinger isnt really full of winning stages.

Keagon, Bürgi, Kohlhuber retire, 2 new classic riders start their carreer next month

First of all we want to thank both Steve Keagan and Michael Kohlhuber for their great helping during the last months. The latter was very important in the hills, he did lots of tempo to bring Schrödinger, Rondeau and Heuser in good position. Kohlhuber was in a late escape one time and finished 2nd (really dont know the race right now) but didnt win a race. He came to our team at the age of 27 and stayed 9seasons (previous Team Warriors). Steve Keagon was important during stage races to earn some points in TT and pull in TTT he also had some good climbing skills his weakness was his reg so he didnt made that much tempo. Keagon made 8seasons in the Equipe coming from team bigmat.

Stats:

Image Michael Kohlhuber
starting values: 66-74-79 41reg (age of 27)
retiring values: 66-71-74 (age of 36) (went up to 69 mountain)
races total: 218
points total: 644

Image Steve Keagon
starting values: 55-78-61-61-49 38reg (age of 27)
retiring values: 58-75-52-60-46 (age of 35)
races total: 201
points total: 652

A big leader in 2011 ends his carreer aswell: Joost Bürgi, first sprinter to win for the Mathematician a sprint race, after Takakazu and èèÈ he was the third sprinter but the first one to finally win a race and not only one, with a maximum of 92 sprint skill he achived to win 12races. Most were unimportant little stages or one day races but there were some important wins too. The most important win (and his last one), for sure was stage 6 at the Tour de France this year against Faboulous and Tobreluts and other good sprinters. An important success was the 2nd GK place of Bessege(Kat2) winning 1 stage too, and the 2 sprints jerseys (Christmas (2), Giro d'Abruzzo(1)).

Image Joost Bürgi
starting values: 50-58-xx-82 35reg
retiring values: 49-59-xx-91 (age of 34)
races total: 186
points total: 4.945
wins: 12
green jerseys: 2
podiums: 1

Team records:
x) First Win in a Mass sprint: Jacaranda Classic (30.10.2011)
x) First Rider to win 10stages for EM: Jour des Vosges (22.02.2011)
x) First Rider to win 4races in one season: Dezember 2010 (and again Februar 2011)

the new ones

Here we go. For the new season 2 riders will enlarde our team to 13 riders as lots of our old riders retired this month, two will follow next season and we fear we have to go down to Div2 when Heuser and Schrödinger retire next season after 5 seasons (and 1 should be added next season) in the highest RSF division. The 2 new riders should be part of the base line of the team for the winterseasons and 2012. We hope for good training for: Josef Loschmidt and Romano Avogadro

Image Josef Loschmidt
starting values: 54-72-70-60-60 51reg 65,4cobbles
the allrounder with good sprint and good TT and good reg. Makes him expensive but we need riders and cannot wait for the perfect ones we cannot afford.
price: 1.988.859
market value: 2.083.636

Image Romano Avogadro
starting values: 55-70-53-52-57 44reg 64,3cobbles
the ceaper guy, and more Heuser stil rider but with good sprint, so he didnt become a Heuser, first italien rider since a very long time, we hope he performes like the Capellis.

market value: 1.720.714

Josef Loschmidt with first victory

Schrödinger with 5th and last stage race victory
Stage win and the general at 3days tour in Kharkiv

After the team made lots of tempo the last days for absolutely no chance in stage wins to avoid chaos in a very inexperient group it was Schrödingers day today again. Better than at Esterel Schrödinger was the strongest and won solo after attacking on the last 2km. It was now stage win number 22 and Schrödinger won at least one race each month since dezember 2010 so exactly 12 months now. We have to check in the statistics if this is a new record :D

New leader for 2012

Erwin Schrödinger retires - A Team Legend Says Goodbye

A week ago our 2011 team leader Erwin Schrödinger retired with more than 2500 season points and the RSF-leading jersey in his last season he left a big hole in the team. Without him the team will go down to Division 2 again, the first time since June. Schrödinger started his career on the 1st of September in 2010. At the age of 24, in december 2011, he won his first race. From then on the he won at least one race each month till November 2011. All in all Schrödinger won 22 stages/ one day races, 5stage races, 3 other podiums, 3 points classification, and 1 mountain classification. His greatest success of course was the win of Giro di Lombardia (KAT 6) and the points classification of the GIRO di Italia (Kat 5). Schrödinger also won 5 Grande Tour stages (3x TOUR, 2x GIRO), he wore the Yellow and Rosa jersey and won stages at Pais Vasco (Kat4), Tirreno Adriatico (2x, Kat4) and Tour de Suisse (Kat4). He also won the Austrian championship once (one of the most exciting wins of his career). He also got 2nd at Tre Valli (Kat 4) and 3rd at Hamburg (Kat5)

Akropolis Tour
Laplace wins last stage

Simon Laplace safes a very bad Tour by the Mathematicians. The groups where boring and red-hunting most of the time and so the only highlight was the HC stage where EM made a great GK attack early in the mountains but in the end, Mandelbrojt was to weak in the final climb to defend his 2min gap and lost a minute at the finish line to the first climbers. But today Laplace showed how to do a km 1 attack. At the right point he attacked to get rid of the offline teams and together with Mania (flo teamX) he reached the finish line 1 minute before the main group and 38 seconds before the next chasers. It was stage win #2 for Laplace and victory #3 for EM this season

Szolem wins La Fleche Jurasienne
first RSF-classic for the team

Szolem Mandelbrojt wins a very prestigious race. It was his first win after lots of tries this month. An Attack 32km to the finish line brought Mandelbrojt in good position. Heuser and especially Gröbner forced the tempo till the Weissenstein, where Szolem himself enlarged the gap to the favorite group to 2:50. Surprisingly he managed to win time in the downhill part of the mountain too and won the race with amazing 1:25 gap. With the win its the first time he managed to be points number 1 in the team and first time in the top 100 riders classification.
