Vuelta Line-Up

-1- Image Benjamin Gourgue
Ben will start at his 3 rd GT this year. He wants to win at least one stage and reach the Top 5 in GC. He already was 5.(Giro) and 3rd at the Tour de France.

-2- Image Ignacio Castillo
Ignacio's last GT for sure. He wants to win a stage so far and he wants to be under the Top 20 at the end. Most important helper for the Gurke.

-3- Image Jorge Felicandes
He won 1 stage at the Tour, this time he likes to help Guilherme Callado and Gourgue, but if he sees a chance to win a stage again he will try to use it.

-4- Image Adriano Perreira
Wants to help Callado to win at least one stage.

-5- Image Luiz Foguete
Same work for him as for Perreira. He won 1 stage in France.

-6- Image Felipe Garrido
TTT and TT leader. First candidate to be sold after the Vuelta. Riding for his future.

-7- Image Diego del Rios
Winner of Tour de France Pave stage. Important helper for flat stages this time again.

-8- Image Emile Daems
Mr. Moneymaker hopefully

-9- Image Guilherme Callado
Co-Leader. Hopefully candidate for the sprint jersey.

While the manager was absent it was guest manager Team Australia who surprisingly lead the team to the first big success in this Vuelta 2010. Guilherme Callado won the first stage in Marbella in a sprint out of a group with the better climbers. They reached the finish just 15 seconds before the big group with all the other sprinters. Thanks Australia!

Ok, we got our 2nd stage win this tour, buut we lost the green jersey unfortunately to LARAPANA who now has 30 points as well. Tomorrow it will be someone different. Maybe Boogerd who takes over this jersey. SO we won today but we also lost. It would have been a great chance to open the gap to the other sprinter much more.

Rider of the month - August

The list of candidates is short. 18 races, 3 stages. Nothing more. Nearly no financial win this month.

1. candidate: Guilherme Callado: 2 stages; 1 of the Vuelta, second is a fantasy race

2. candidate: Ben Gourgue: 1 stage at the Vuelta

Winner and therefore rider of the month iiiiissss....

Good stage for Callado. He is again in the green shirt and some good sprinters like Caethoven and Prebois were not able to come closer to him. But maybe the sprinters are not the biggest danger for him. Tomorrow will be a day which will show us important things in this fight. A hard climb short before the finish line could be enough for the classic riders against Perreira and co.

This was one of my most disappointing stages ever. Had to ride for the stage because i needed the points of stages like this one here to have a chance to win the green jersey. At the end it was **** Nero Latrell who forced a selection at the last km of the climb. He opened the way for David Silva to win this stage easily. Very frustrating that Neutro destroyed it today. I will remember it, thats for sure!!! 13th place at the end and 8 points for Callado, Silva took over the jersey with now 9 points in the lead. Bad stage!

Nice sprint for the team. Unfortunately Callado was not able to get the sprint jersey back but with Prebois won a guy who had not so much points so that Callado is 25 points in front of the first real sprinter. Not so bad.

Vuelta - 8. Villena - Corret del Catí (190 km)

The first real mountain stage with the extreme steep climb up to Corret del Catí was one with some good action out of a group by Adriano Perreira who was able to take over the climbers jersey with 1 point in the lead. At the end Callado was again not able to gain some sprint points, he is still 4 points behind Silva. Ben Gourgue then finished 3rd with 11 seconds behind Terray and 4 behind W. Boogerd. All in all a good stage and the first one with nearly no loss.

Today we lost again the mountain sprint against Terray who won his 3rd stage by this. A little bit frustrating somehow even if we have already 2 stages at this Vuelta, Cerro already has 4!! We also lost the climbers jersey as expected and we were again not able to catch up some points for the sprinters jersey which is now on the shoulders of Wesley Boogerd. After the rest day tomorrow we want it back with a good sprint hopefully.

This day should have become the most successfull one of this Tour but caused by some stupid actions from a belgian manager at the beginning and tempo by a german one at the end it became a big loss for the team. Callado was again not able to open the gap to the sprinters much bigger. Neutrogena destroyed all his chances for some points at the end. He will get bloody revenge for it sometimes. 9 stages nearly everything was fine but today the managers and riders were really pissed of at least 2 teams out of this tour. A stage where everybody has to think about if it makes sense to continue this game when there are so much ****** in it...
But before this decision is to be made we will fight for green as long as we have a chance for it.
Tomorrow it will be for the GC with the mountain stage to Andorra.

I wanted to make the intermediate-sprints because i thinked that you can take some points in the final srint. But i don't wanted to let you wait 60km before riding and have a fresh team for the final. So i attacked with 4 mans in 2 kms. So, 2 possibilities. Or you give time to the group and i continue (i prefer that you don't receive a lot of points in the end and that the group win), or you make the chase and i make the sprints for the green jersey.

It's what i hoped (thanks Gala, thanks Cerro :D): you chased the group away and i taked the points. Beter: you maked the first sprint too and so losed more time with Callado in the mountain.

Ok, it was stupid to fight for the green jersey but as you said i am a Belgian, it's natural for the Belgians to be stupid (i agree, what a bad boy i am! (irony 1)). But don't hope that i stop to be this sort of "stupid guys" in the next stages... I continue, again and again. Cause i respect the rules. So, you cannot make something else that fighting (How difficult is it? (irony 2)).

And of course Neutro was stupid too to make the tempo after the mountain. It was clearly beter for him if he waited you and let you take some points for Callado. Really beter for Pils... In fact i don't know how he can make a so stupid move (irony 3)!

:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

-1 fair-play for VC and Neutro tomorrow: the most stupid guys of this Vuelta! (irony 4, 5 or maybe 6?)

Bad stage agan. Terray attacked very early but Gourgue as well. He should have waited some more km and then maybe it would have worked for him. The fight for green was a good one this time. At the end Callado collected 4 points while only Pils with 67 won points on him, he is now 21 points behind him. New big rival is now Wesley Boogerd the climber with 102 points. This means that he is 20 points in front of Guilherme at the moment.

Very good stage for Callado today, even if a group of 3 escapers came through. In the sprint of the peloton he finished 3. before his big competitors like Prebois,Pils. Only Caethoven and Monteiro were faster. Wesley Boogerd won 4 points and is now in front with 106 points and 9 before Callado who is 23 points in front of the first sprinter(Pils).
Tomorrow will be a deciding stage for green.

Well, don't want to make you angry but you should look at 3 things :

1. On the 9th stage, you say Neutro kills his chances. Don't really know which chances you talked about;

2. Prebois doesn't fight for green... I thought it was clear... Never done an intersprint (except today :P ) on this tour;

3. The only one who has to "pay" something is surely you. I really dislike your way to talk about or to other people :

- being angry about neutro who was only protecting his green jersey chances;
- Calling Aywaille "stupid" cause he only do something not smart but admitted by the rules;
- Calling to me as a shit cause I asked a question about the basement of the game (fair play rules) which you never answered to!.

So, maybe you should put your neck and head down and be a bit more respectfull from the others in the race chat! :)

What a great stage, thanks to a great teamwork and some help at the end it was possible to beat the sprinters by 12 seconds. Guilherme Callado won the sprint out of a big group of 36 men. Because Wesley Boogerd didn't sprint he is now again in the green jersey and is the new big favorite for it. 15 points in front of Boogerd and David Silva as the second one in this classement has 11 points less. The sprinters are now out of the fight.

From tomorrow on the fight for the GC begins with 3 HC stages in a row and on next wednesday the long TT in Penafiel. The team of Gaurain had to leave the tour because of personal time problems so that Lionel Terray is now the new favorite for the GC. Wesley Boogerd with 2 minutes behind him is his biggest competitor. Our Ben Gourgue will try to come into the Top 5.

2. Gourgue +1:25
3. Boogerd +2:07
4. Vera +2:21
