So basically i attacked with 2 classics and followed with 2 tentatives of climber on 11% with 60 KM before the end of the race...

The today's stage had 179 KM.
Km: 110, Gradient: 11
Dimitri Vertikoff (CircleCycle) attacks
Pyotr Kalashnikov (Liquigas-CND) follows
Thomas Devoe (CircleCycle) follows
Ousmane Dembélé (PeterMeter) follows
Orlando Salazar (Liquigas-CND) follows
Ivan Escobar (Liquigas-CND) attacks
Ewald Wiener (CircleCycle) attacks
Sven Torstensson (Liquigas-CND) attacks

1. Attack (no following) with more than 2 riders of one team at the same km out of the same group.
This rule is deactivated for the last 10 km of every race.

3. Chained Attacks.
More than 2 riders of a team, who, through attacking or following, escape out of a group.
This rule is deactivated if more than 10 riders from at least.4 teams are represented or if the original group has less than 15 riders. --->less than 10 riders were in the new group and and the original group had many riders...
This rule is deactivated too, in the last 20km of a race and if the road rises 4% and more.---> the attack was on 11% but much earlier...


In my opinion, in this situation the 1st rule is somehow in contradiction with the 3rd rule...

So i understand that according to the 1st rule it is forbidden to attack (no follow) with more than 2 riders at the same Km out of the same group.
According to the 3rd rule it is forbidden to escape out of a group by attacking or following with more than 2 riders of a team... of course here is not mentioned escaping or following at the same KM even if it is quite intuitive for me....Anyway that makes difficult for me to understand if it is or not team attack...

P.S. Even if i was not sure if it was or not team attacked i rode coupe of KM with my riders that attacked at KM 110 and then, after a while i dropped my climbers...

With this logic, you could also not do it during the last 20 km if there is no 4% or higher.

Anyway, as the English version seems to be misunderstanding, the French and more imporant the original German isn't. So it is clear that this attack was allowed as it was a km with a climb that is 4% or higher.

Maybe this could be pointed out better in the English Version...

Then the rule no.3 should be a bit revised...
I always thought that i can attack or follow with more than riders at the same km only when the following 2 conditions are met simultaneously:
attack and follwing in the last 20 KM & the road raises 4% or more....


And yes...in french is as you said FL.....

Attaques interdites:
1. Attaque (pas suivre) de plus de 2 coureurs d´une même équipe, au même km et du même groupe.Cette régle est annulée pendant les 10 derniers kms de chaque course.
2. Attaques (pas suivre) avec succés de plus de 5 coureurs différents d´une même équipe au cours de 20km.Cette régle n´est valable que pour la 1ére moitié de la course.
3. Attaques enchainées d´équipes éfinition: coureurs d´une même équipe qui par attaque et/ou par enchainement se retrouvent dans un groupe d´echappés.Limite: Plus de 2 coureurs d´une équipe lors d´une attaque au cours d´un km . Si cela se passe (accidentellement), les équipes concernées doivent laisser aussitôt retomber leurs coureurs jusqu´á concurrence de 2 coureurs par équipe.
Limitations pour la règle no.3:Ces limites ne valent pas si le groupe d´origine d´ou sort l´échappée a moins de 15 coureurs.Ces limites ne valent pas si l´échappée contient plus de 10 coureurs et plus de 3 équipes.Ces limites ne valent pas pendant les montèes de 4% et plus.Ces limites ne valent pas pendant les derniers 20kms de chaque course.Il ne sera pas fait d´exception pour les équipes dirigées en automatique/offline.Le protocole de course est déterminant pour évaluer la situation et décider des conséquences !

Could we instead add in the manual examples of rules that are often misunderstood with allowed and disallowed attacks. For an example 5 riders following km 17 4%, allowed. Also a clarification of the second rule needed with an example. Is attacking with riders A and B on km 1 and riders C and D km 2 and later attack with riders E and F km 21 and riders G and H km 22 if they end up in the same group.
