Tirreno Adriatico:
Weather: South Europe spring
Stages: Difficult... they classify 1, 2, 3 and 7 as easy, 4+5 as hard, 6 as middle. But it's only for time limit purposes, the the bonifications and the points are all the same. Roby decided to classify 1-6 as medium mountain stages. For the bonifications, so that a win in stages 1-3 is not worth more than in 4-6, and all these stages are CG relevant I think.
1:
148 km, 1' tact from 118, last 10 km
3 2 6 3 1 -3 -6 -5 -1 -1
2:
167 Km (should be 165 but final circuit is 14,680 Km...) 1'tact from 132
Final circuit (15 km)
5 5 6 -6 -5
-2 -2 -1 0 -1
-1 0 0 0 2
3:
159 km, 1' tact from 125
last 10 km basically flat (+1, 0 and -1), last km -1
4:
243 Km, 1'tact from 193
last 20 Km
-7 0 2 8 8
-4 3 -6 -5 -6
-5 0 1 4 8
8 7 -2 -2 4
Last km could be 3 too, decided for 4, complaints with good reasoning why it should be a 3 are welcome.
5:
234 Km 1' tact from 200
Last 10 Km
0 -5 -4 -6 -7 -1 -1 1 12 1
6:
134 Km 1' tact from 89
19 Km lap, done 3 times (+ once half)
-1 -5 -7 -7
0 -1 0-1 0
-1 0 10 4 -3
-4 -1 5 4 8
After the last lap there is an addional 300 meters 6% at the end... which makes everything complicated. Ignored that, if anybody has a good idea how to change the end.. check here and tell me.
http://www.gazzetta.it/grandeciclismo/t ... 06_ukm.pdf
1 5 4 7 the other option, which makes the end easier although it's the same plus 300 meters a 6% which isn't really easier..
7:
164 Km, 1' tact from 140
Classified as flat stage by Klebt, unlike all the others.

Aywaille
What about the north classics?
Nokere Koerse
Dwars
E3
Gent-Wevelgem
Not asking you to do then now or fast, just if you have the time to do/check them... .same course or not (Gent not, even I know that), new design or if the same course just check and make it consistent with the other races (so the Robyberg for example is the same in all races, not 5-4 in one, 7-2 in the other..
Maybe actually better to open a separate thread for the whole north...
And iBan still has a question for you from the french forum.
iBanesto wrote:iBanesto wrote:Why is there no pave on Molenberg and Eikenberg in the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad?
I don´t know, was this already a topic here and I missed it? I´m not really up to date with the discussion here.
For this one on the other hand a fast answer would be nice...
Generally not sure if the online Het Volk version is the one you wanted? Things you talked about in the french forum are not changed.
Anyway, think we need the definite Het Volk version soon.

Ha, as promised criticism for OL and his PN!
The 1' tact...
Ok, I know you generally put it later than me, ok, no problem, can't force you to put it where I would, but in some cases I just don't see any logic in the change.
prolog no problem
Et 2 ok
et 3 ok (both 2 and 3 I would put earlier, but that's not the problem here)
et 4: stage 208 km long. change at Km 188. Here don't really understand. it's in the middle of nowhere. from 183 to 199 it's flat, Km 179 to 182 on the other hand are 5 -5-7 5. that would seem much more logic to me than wait for the flat part. Or even more logic would be at Km 160 where the climb of the day starts, 9 9 6 5 2 7. But 188? Don't get it.
Et 5: good, logical place I think
Et 6 157km long, change at 127. But there is a 4 4 7 4 combination from km 119-122. Why not include that? 8 km more, 4 minutes longer, but 4 4 7 4 to me seems important enough. 127 just seems .. ? nothing special there..
Et 7 220 Km long. change at 190. And this one is just.... What is this? Km 180 to 189 is: 5 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 5 A 10 Km climb, 660 meters up. And you put the change at 190? AFter 190 there is -2 0 0 0 0 6 then a long downhill with % from -2 to -7.. .then the last few km slightly up again. Absolutely can't understand how you can put the change right after the 10 km climb that will be fairly important in deciding the stage... Can't imagine a worse place to put the change, I mean the logical thing would be 180. then it's 5' longer, and if that too much for somebody he just isn't a freak. But ok, if you think 40km is too much, we ride the 10 km climb in the 30" tact, then I really really don't see why you think the -2 0 0 0 0 6 loooooooooooong descent is worth riding in 1' tact. Might as well put the 1' tact at km 213 in that case. At least there would be some logic behind it, here I see none.
Et 8: 119 km long. change at 92. Km That's 3 km after a cat 1 GPM, in the middle of the downhill... where is the logic? Put it just before the last climb would be more logic, at km 99, or put it at km 81 where the climb before that starts (fairly easy one, only 2 km with more than 6) or you could even put it at km 45, that's just before the first climb of the day. Then it's a bit long, but the stage is short and it would be a logical point since the race can really start there. Especially since it's the last day and everybody has more energy to spend. Ok, you don't want that, think it's too long, ok... but at least put it somewhere where it makes sense, km 92 in the middle of a downhill doesn't really make any!
Your turn now, you can criticize TA

Catalunya
Weather west europe continent 10-25 seemed ok.....
prologue 3 -4 0 0
7 at km 58, one 6 before, sprinter stage, the end -3 +3 0, 1' tact from 152
The announced "queen stage"... as expected nothing much. 3140 meters up in total, but no real tough climb. The HC climb is one because.... nobody knows. From km 107 everything copied from
http://www.cyclingcols.com/ 1' tact from 148. medium mountain stage, even if they probably refer to it as HC... but only km 154 and 164 as 6 in the last 40 km... not really HC
Slow Roby still not finished... should be finished monday or tuesday though. No comment
medium mountain
Big mess with the distances... flat stage
not one 6+

Herr Klebt, ist es gewollt, dass der Min.-Takt bei der 4.Etappe bei der Catalunya RF schon bei km 18 beginnt oder sollte er bei km 180 beginnen?

180 Km 180
Not sure if I can change it since it's already online... probably not? Hope lesossies checks in here and sees it! I humbly request that his majesty, big Buddha lessosies change the min tact change to Km 180 on the fourth stage of Catalunya..

What about "Settimana Lombarda"? Is somebody designing, is it still on the plan??
Maybe I could design it if necessary.
