Re: Classiques Belges
Ok ! Thanks for this big job Aywaille.
So i'll explain to everybody my theory about cobblestones (i know that you already know that^^)
So, in my opinion, if we have 5 choices of pavé, it's because there are big differences.
So for me, the * is really easy, and i think because in RSF, nobody goes out in * except some climbers and sprinters when it's a specialist in tempo.
That's why I think * is only for pavé in the city, i mean excellents pavés, smooth. So, the * in the classics of Belgium ? Really ? Sometimes ok, but when it's a pavé part with fields all around, i'm sorry, i can't believe it.
But sometimes the * is ok, for example, the last pavé part in Paris-Roubaix is * (ok only 300m) but's it's perfect pavé of the city, so no effect for the race.
So, for me, the minimum is ** for the classics races, exept in a few cases.
I hope my english is ok

Re: Classiques Belges
Ha, one more critique in that case
Ah, see OL already wrote something too.
Steenakker is in the city as far as I saw when I put adjusted the iBan version from 09 to 10. So * might be ok (but don't know)
Start of the sector at 201.2, so end at 201,9, shouldn't it be km 202 in that case for RSF? Not Km 201?21. Steenakker Cobblestones sector

Kraftsystemrevision! Include the distance!
Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!
Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Answer here (not to interrupt the Het Volk discussion)VC Aywaille wrote:Here is the first stage of "De Panne 2010":
The rest can come later but there is more urgent now: Dwars door Vlaanderen, Nokere Koers, Harelbeke and Gent-Wevelgem.
I want ask a little help (Gaurain? iban? Skullz?).
Here is the calendar of the Vlaamse races:
05/03 - 07/03: Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen -----> Skullz?
17/03: Nokere Koers -----> ?
24/03: Dwars door Vlaanderen -----> ?
27/03: E3 Prijs Vlaanderen (Harelbeke) -----> VC Aywaille
28/03: Gent - Wevelgem -----> VC Aywaille
30/03 - 01/04: Driedaagse van De Panne - Koksijde -----> VC Aywaille
04/04: Ronde van Vlaanderen -----> VC Aywaille
I just ask to make an name in Vlaams, not in english, french (except Paris-Roubaix) or german. I think it's beter in Vlaams.
11/04: Paris-Roubaix -----> VC Aywaille
Nokere-Koers is already in the calendar, the iBan version of 09!

Re: Classiques Belges
Criticism:
OK, to confuse first praise. Excellent overviews!
but now criticism:
Name: Cote de Trieu - Knokteberg (berg)
Km: 163 (1682m long)
City: Mont de l'Enclus
Average: 5,3%
Maximum: 13,3%
Adaptation RSF 2010: 7
Mmh, 2 km seems more logic somehow. but of course I really don't know how the climb is, maybe 1 km is ok, 1 km steep then almost flat, then it's ok. So more a question than a criticism.
Edit: Now I know why I don't want to do that Belgian mess.. checked wiki for that one, http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knokteberg 7% seems ok, actually more 8, but then who knows how precise wiki is..
Name: Vossenhol (berg)
Km: 184 (1400m long)
City: Anzegem
Average: 6,5%
Maximum: 9%
Adaptation RSF 2010: 2 / 5
Here on the other hand seems strange to have 5 as max when the average is over 6.. and according to this it goes up 91 meters. Ok, maybe you need to compensate for the downhill and only want to go up 70 meters, that's ok.. .But here somewhere a km over 6% seems better. Only one km and 7 seems ok too actually or 6 2 (or 2 6 depending on how the mountain is actually)
Then the E3 graphics. They look nice, but... the numbers seem to be all wrong.
Stene Berg, 1,5 Km, 7+%, so means at least 105 meters up, but the top is at 100, the minimum at 30. Boigneberg, over 2 Km, average 5,8, means it goes up over 116 meters. But according to the graphic the top is only 90 meters. Recommend you check the Wiki pages too, or climbybike even though I don't necessarily trust them, but the Boigneberg seems more logic in those 2 places. And almost everything seems to be more fantasy than reality.. (numbers from the site)

I let iBan and co come with more criticism, enough from me for the moment.

Oh, not sure if you already found that

Not only the hellingen for 2010 (http://rvv.be/fr/tourisme/pentes-et-paves/hellingen2010)
Could be useful not only for Flanders, but E3 Dwars etc too. Somehow the numbers seem more realistic than the ones on the E3 site.
And they have pavé too

Re: Classiques Belges
Error at Paterberg at E3-Prijs Vlaanderen. At the moment, it is shown as 12% 10* Pavé. 1012 probably the value in the editor. But Pavé-value is not seperated by a zero, its just the hunderts. Suppose it should be 112, which means 12% 1* Pavé.
Re: Classiques Belges
The online version is still the one from 09 anyway.
We really need to get the 10 versions on. Soon.
E3 is done according to Aywaille, but now he really has to start speeding up. Gent, then De Panne, then Flanders, we need to have Flanders before April.

Re: Classiques Belges
As said Roby, it was not "my" Paterberg. You can find the values i used here on the E3-post.
But it's nice to come saying me when you think there is an error. Today i make Gent-Wevelgem!

Re: Classiques Belges
GPM out. That 4 points are not so important, I guess.
