i open this thread only for Taking space.

This project is for making a 21 stage tour (which can be shortened)
My idea is to do a quite hard tour for climbers.



Tour through The Middle-Earth

1st stage Hobbiton - Tyrn Gorthad (163 km) first stage, quite hilly finish, for a classical sprinter
2nd stage Tyrn Gorthad - Bree (191 km, final circuit in Bree 4 km 6 times with a ** pave) easy and flat stage, with pave finish
3rd stage Bree - Amon Sul (155 km) first uphill finish, an hard hill, but not over 4%
4th stage Amon Sul - Rivendell (37km) Team Time Trial, quite flat
5th stage Rivendell - Caradhras (168 km) First very hard stage, up and down along mountains, with uphill hard finish
6th stage Stage 6: Caradhras - Moria (119km) a bit hard climb but a long downhill finish
7th stage: after 2 consecutive hard stages, another flat stage with easy finish
8th stage: flat and long stage with some uphill kms before the finish alongside a river
Rest Day 1
9th stage flat stage with some hills at the start of the stage
10th stage Simple flat stage
11th stage 3rd hard stage, with a bit of up and down and then a finish on the mountain in the back of a "Deep"
12th stage flat stage with another finish over an hill
13th stage flat stage with the back to the end of the 10th stage
14th stage quite classical finish, with some kms uphill during the end
15th stage another up and down stage, not so strong % but classical "red jersey" stage
16th stage Long flat stage with a climb in the finish, very hard climb
17th stage another up and down stage... but very very difficult.
Rest Day 2
18th stage some other difficult mountains to climb but a flat finish
19th stage short flat stage before the finish,
20th stage mountainous 18km TT... the "Doom" is in your hands
21th stage last easy flat stage.


The project will be discovered Stage by stage (when i have time to design)

For what a 21day tour?
We have three GTs, Campeonato des los andes as extrem climbing tour and December tour plus several more or less important tours with nine or more stages.
So no need IMO

i offer 21 stages, i underlines that the tour can be shortened so i don't need that Leso or someone will take all the stages.

Will be a choice of the calendar moderator

All starts from Hobbiton, a village in the Shire... It's a quietly village of Hobbits, strange and hairy creatures.

A group of 4 receive a mission: Gandalf tells them to reach Bree. They travel through the Shire until Tom Bombadil's House, and then they arrives in Tyrn Gorthad, over some hills with some ghosts.

This is the profile of stage1



The forum seems that doesn't like last 3 kms... they're 3 - 4 - 4

My project now miss the rules:

Tour limits:
10-14 days with maximal 1 rest day.
max. 1 day with half-races.

23 days tour, 2 rest day.
I need to cut after the whole presentation for respecting these Rules

Stage 2

Passed Tyrn Gorthad, it's time to reach the first step of this Tour. Someone Told to 4 hobbits that there is a man, or better a wanderer, who is waiting them on Bree.

Bree is one of the biggest village in the shire, and there are some cobbles in the main street. The finish in along a 4km circuit that pass on this Cobble section 6 times.... the entire stage is 191 kms

Stage 3

Quite hilly stage, our 4 friends plus the man continues the tour. They escapes during the night from Bree and reach a hilly formation, staying for the night at the highest hill, called Amon Sul, 535m.

The finish is for classic riders, with 2-3-4-4-3 as last 5 kms

Stage 4...

One of our friends suffers a serius injury, we need to fight against time for saving him. All together





Stage 5

after the day to Rivendell, there is the hard approach to Misty Mountains, trying to come over the Caradhras, the biggest mountain

Stage 6

"the dwarves dug too deep", and we discover how too deep. Under the sea level finish after a climb for nearly 2000m

Stage 7: From Moria to Lothlòrien. Easy and simple (rest)flatstage where the riders can see the fantastic mallorn houses of the elves at Caras Galadhon




Stage 8: From Lothlorien to first fight between Uruk-Hai. A long journey upon the hills of the Middle Earth, and the climb of Argonath some kms before the finish
