You loved this travel near the Ventoux.
I like the race, but maybe sad to put the Ventoux in this part of the race ... but why not

Yes i love it there, it was a fantastic time for me. We have the Tour and La Dauphinee to ride the Ventoux at the end. The Grand Adrenier is a nice and not to hard climb with a beautiful sight. This race is of parts i rode to this time there so i wanted to ride them again in RSF
And i think the race could be very interesting. Hard climb to the Ventoux but after that it is a very open race i think.

Der Pöbel will ein Bergrennen. Hier ist es! Pico de Teide, der höchste Berg Spaniens. Da kann man auch ein bischen hinauffahren, natürlich nicht bis zum Kessel.
Allagen wants a race for climbers. Here it is! Pico de Teide, the biggest mountain of Spain. There you can climb a bit up with the bike as well, but for sure not to the top of it.

Trento - Venedig (164 kms)
over one little pass to the famous city of Venezia
A short race from Trento to Venedig over the passo Vézzena. A little pass unknown for me but it seems to be a hard one with a beatiful nature around the serpentines.

Alpe Fuori Challenge
one of the hardest climbs possible
A very short race from Lavena at the Lago di Lugano over the Lago Maggiore to Domodossola. From there it's a 9 km climb over a bad, but rideable road up to a little Alp. This is one of the hardest climbs you can ever imagine. Forget about Monte Zoncolan. The bad quality of the streets makes it even harder to ride. It has parts of about 30% and and a slope of nearly 14% over 9 km.

GP Santarém
4 rounds in and around Santarém
short race with only 144 kms, with 7 or 8 riders maybe a good one. Min tact from km 110. So 1 1/2 hours racing time. The hill is +5% so no real problem for the sprinters.

Is it better now? I checked it several times, maybe about a 100. I worked with the open office editor and there is no fault. I rounded the height now and i simply copied the first round 3 times. SO if this is now wrong i have no idea how this could happen. SUM of one round and of the hole race is 0 as well.
The hill is now +6 with rounding the height on to 10 steps.

Santiago de Compostela - La Coruna
hilly from Santiago to the coast to La Coruna
Again a short race with some hills in it. Should be a race for hillsprinters or classic sprinters. But with some chances to escape for puncheurs as well. I like it quite much...

1. "Green World" Amazonian Cycling Race 2011
save the forest!
A little race with an important background. The city Manaus is directly at the river Amazonas and completely surrounded by the biggest rainforest on this world. Far away from any other big cities it is one of the most special places of the world.
Sponsored by the nature lovers this race should bring the attention to this place ( or better the forest and the river around this place) which has to be defended against the people living in this world who destroy more and more of the forest which is so important for our future.

Volta Rio de Janeiro 2011
Stage 1: Angra dos Reis - Itaguaí (173 km)
The first stage leads the peloton over very hill terrain into the direction of the city Rio de Janeiro, which is also the capital of the state also called Rio de Janeiro.
This should be a stage for classic riders, classic sprinters.
Stage 2: Itaguaí - Miguel Pereira (168 km)
Stage 2 heads northwards away from the Atlantic and into the highlands in the Hinterland of the state Rio. Miguel Pereira is a little town at the end of a 8 km hill with a slope of 5,6%. The last 4 kms are flat so that this stage should become a fight between 80-70's and maybe strong climbers. But also good classic riders wont lose much time today.
Stage 3: Petrópolis - Magé (167 km)
Stage 3 is again a mountaineous one which starts in Petrópolis and goes curvy into the direction back to the coastal region. Finish will be in Magé after a long downhill and a 20 km long flat part. A stage for classic sprinters or escapers.
Stage 4: Magé - Rio de Janeiro (186 km)
Stage 4 goes from Magé to Niteroi and from there over the
Ponte Pres. Costa e Silva into Rio de Janeiro where the peloton takes some rounds through the hills of the city. The final kms lead the peloton along the famous beaches Ipanema and Copacabana right into the last difficulty of this tour. The Morro do Leme is a 3 km hill with 5% slope on the first km and then a little downhill. The last km then becomes very steep again with a slope of 10% which can maybe decide this tour. This should be a stage for an attacking climber on the last km. But this is maybe not enough to win the tour for a climber.
Please introduce this tour in the Calendar, maybe in December or January 2012? I hope there is a possibility to start the tour between the week on a Monday or Tuesday...

3 rondas de Cordoba
A revival from one of our races designed in 2009/2010. Last time the race was in the Calendar in January 2010, close before the Tour Down Under. Maybe this now "modern" version has again a chance to come into the race calendar.

Jaraguá do Sul - Blumenau
A hilly race starting in Jaraguá do Sul, then taking a loop into the mountains and back to Jaraguá. After that it goes straight into the direction of the finish in Blumenau, a city of former germans which moved to Brazil in the past and founded a little german colony here.
