The theme of the real event is vintage cycling, with participants using vintage bikes (up to and including 1987), accessories and clothing, and the route often including unpaved roads.

Starting from a flat area through Caimito and Artemisa, red dirt roads full of sugar cane fields, banana plantations and small lagoons until we reach Las Terrazas, the only self-sufficient town in Cuba. Natural paradise of the Biosphere Reserve, cradle of Cuban coffee, known as the Garden of Cuba, we cross hills like jungles until we reach the coastal area of Cabañas to begin the final stretch back to Caimito.
