Long race in Turkey, hill in the circuit is not so steep, but enough to eliminate some sprinters.



Last climb is 8/5. But some selection and offensives will happen before in this hilly race with many short steep climbs.

Sprint race but sprinter teams will need to be strong and won;t be able to keep 2sprinters + 1 launcher fit and fresh til the end !



Sprinter's race again, but selection can be made in the hills, and maybe on the dirty white road near the end ...



A last one where siebs are possible early in hills, later on dirty roads ... Still a quite big group should arrive for a sprint in Narbonne.



Well, in these 3 races, sprinters can win, but not only pure sprinters ! It gives a chance to sprinters with different skills, less sprint skill but able to survive few hills and few dirty road

2nd part of the race is quite hilly, but siebs are not that steep and hard

Some good hills, but last section is quite flat ... so basically it´s open, could be strong classic winning, or could be regular sprinter !

Hilly race in Norway with more hilly parts than downhill ones !



Easy hilly race. Short, with 15 flat kms to finish.
Careful of the wind there !



Easy flat race ... only if sprinters teams don't loose too much from km30 to km82 !

Another flat race in Canada, near awesome lakes !
But, be careful of final circuit, can be nervous there for sprinters !

Mountain race in national park of Burundi, Kibira :



Long race in Cameroon, a big mountain in the middle and a hilly finish !

I could not find the flag of Saudi Arabia ... Yemen flag instead, but wrong.
Really steep roads there !



I classified that race in Middle mountain, but it's hard to know how race will go. Cause a mass sprint can really happen if siebs are not so strong in the cat1 Mountain !

Mountain race, last climb is not regular, + flatish section at the end. Climbers will also have to deal with a dirty road !



Hilly race in Zimbabwe, but no hard sieb (6% only in last climbs). Last 2kms are 2/2



Hard circuit in Napier, Bluff and Hospital Hills are giving narrow steep roads ! Climbers could have their words to say even if strong classics have a great chance to get it ...

Flatish races for winter :

In Mozambico, a loop race. No sieb here, but some hilly parts that could see attacks of strong riders able to push hard on flat as well.


In India, siebs possible in GPM and in the long downhill if it rains, the rest is pretty flat !


In (South) China, a semi-urban 31kms long circuit, with one hill where a sieb is possible (6%), last KOM 20kms from the line.

South Californian Races :

Yes, it starts under sea level, and yes, it's a sprinter's race ! Long climbs are not steep and the few siebs kms are really far from the line.



Only 6 riders for that short hilly race ! Not big steep climb, but hard enough to make some selection !



A flat race ... but mind that Crestline summit, two steep kms here that will probably eliminate a couple of sprinters !

Pavé race in Brazil, main difficulties are early in the race.



Hilly pavé race, some pavés in town on the way + one dirty road section (marked only as * to make difference with real pavé in cities (mostly **). Last part is hilly and not easy at all !

Still using the pavé towns in Brazil for that flat pavé race :



Hills at the end are no more than 5%, 2kms before the end is a 3%*

Flat race in Indonesia for a very possible sprint, even if the climb to repeat 3 times in the final circuit will probably drop some sprinters !



In the town of Juan Antonio Flecha, cobbles are only ** and ***, but repetition of that short urban circuit without paved sections will help to make differences between strong pavé riders !

To try in advance that circuit of the 2016 Olympics :



In reality, the first circuit will be ridden 4 times, and the second one (with big climb) 3 times, for a total lenght of 256kms. Here I made a very soft and short version (2laps + 1 lap), but at least we can see from what the circuit will be made of !

A short hilly race with pleny of short climbs to attack and move before a quick flat come back to town.

Intense weekend race

Fantasy 4 stages tour race in Thailand, for off calendar maybe.

1st stage has a nasty climb that could make topfavo already fight.
2nd stage is flat and short, a little rest for the peloton.
3rd stage takes the riders to the highest road of Thailand, the long uphill is not regular at all, and has very steep sections. The first climb could eliminate plenty of riders if some sieb early on.
4th stage is long and crazy, up and down with steep sections (uphill + downhill), a great road for moves from far or not !

If the weather turns to heavy rain, downhills could be as important as uphill kms.

A flat race without a single sieb km. But also without a single flat km in the final circuit rode 5 times !
